Historical Start Date Kings

This is a lightweight mod that adds 57 historical characters (including 24 rulers) to Victoria 3.




It's a shame how some countries in the 1836 start date of Victoria 3 do not have its historical rulers, and this is especially prevalent in Africa. So after some digging through totally credible sources (Wikipedia + sites that looked like it was made in the 1990s), I've added, to the best of my research, about 24 historical rulers to most of the playable countries in the start date without a historical ruler.

From the great Soshangane who founded the Gaza Empire, to the ruthless King Ssuuna II of Buganda, and to the Rajput nazims of Makran, this mod will hopefully make your Vic3 world a little more colourful.

This mod also adds the historical heirs/successors of these rulers and some other historical figures as generals or IG leaders, bringing the total amount of characters added to this mod to 57. Also, while some of these newly added characters have predetermined traits and ideologies, the majority do not and thus will have them randomly generated instead.

This mod does not overwrite any vanilla files.

Adding Historical Rulers in 1836
I didn't know this mod existed when I made this one but nevertheless I recommend using my mod alongside this one! awak's mod adds historical rulers to more countries than my mod, so I recommend having both mods to have a more complete experience. Historical Start Date Kings's characters will overwrite Adding Historical Rulers in 1836's characters where overlaps exists.
