Why Better Tech-Tree Mod:

· Two translations - English and Polish.
· Absolutely new technology tree and affinities system which makes game better.
· New systems of technologies and affinities!

There won't be next updates, only bugfixes.


Important Changes in Technologies

I've done this mod because I thought: "Why this technologies is placed like that? Why you are getting affinities - which are like ideologies in Civ V only in some places?" - yeah, that's why I created this mod. Plus - I was inspired by "Cleaner Tech Web" by Imbris.
A lot of people pleased him, to do Rising Tide version. Actually, I was going to add something from my side.


· Now, technologies are parted in categories. 30 technologies are placed in 6 categories, and every first tech from category has got connection with Habitation. These technologies are: Chemistry (Chemistry), Physics (Physics), Computing (Computing), Engineering (Engineering), Ecology (Biology), Genetics (Alien Biology).
· Every category has got own way, and only some of technologies from other categories are connected.
· Now, constructing buildings isn't too easy. You must know some technologies to create buildings made by Worker. It's simillar to Civilization V.
· Clearing Miasma has been moved to Alien Lifeforms.
· Now, every technology and leaf-tech from category has affinity points. One affinity per two categories - Purity for Chemistry and Physics, Supremacy for Computing and Engineering, and Harmony for Biology and Alien Biology.
Everybody can make affinities quickly, or more balanced - so it makes game more dynamic and advanced.
· In total 20 of Units, Buildings and Wonders have been moved to other technologies, because they are too strong for their position.

making the lev tank/ destroyer supremacy units doesn't make any sense.

Unless this was done on purpose, the last two purity affinity units, the LEV Tank and the LEV Destroyer are classed as supremacy unique units. This gives supremacy SIX unique units and purity TWO unique units.

This makes it so that you choose supremacy for the unique units or purity for the unit upgrades.

Mistakenly read the title in the tiny library thumbnail as "Battletech Mod". I almost broke my wrist in my rush to click on it.

Oh well. Still a good-looking mod. I'll probably use it anyway.

Yeah it might be a part of one of Gaia's improved buildings or wonders mods, not entirely sure which one edits the tech web. But it removes the "Planetary Survey" and you start on "Habitation", with the "Planetary Survey" unlocks added. Thanks for the rapid reply, and for the continued work on fixing Firaxis's mess of a tech tree.

@Wandering Mania Gunboat is enable in my mod, so there's probably confliction.. if you have only this mod switched on, and there isn't gunboats still - reinstall the mod. I'll talk to Gaia about this too.
