Description
Disappointed with the Flame Canon and the Gyrocopters? This mod aims to address those issues.

If you just want the Gyrocopter changes, scroll down for a link to my stand alone mod for that.

Here's a summary of what's changed:

Artillery, (Flame Cannon, Organ Gun, Cannon, Grudge Thrower): The arc of fire has been increased by 30 degrees, this was done mainly for the Flame Cannons benefit to aid in targeting but as a measure of fairness i extended it to all Dwarf Artillery.

Flame Cannon: The range has been extended from 150 to 250 the AoE of the blast slightly increased and the accuracy of the shot slightly improved. In addition the RoF has been significantly buffed by over 50%. Previously the flame cannon suffered badly from poor burst damage potential and poor effective time to fire in due to it's short engagement range. By improving these aspects the flame cannon should do much better against the lightly armoured unit types that are its main prey.

Gyrocopter (All): All Gyrocopters are now unbreakable and have a 35% missile Resistance, this should greatly help them in harassing rear area's more effectively.

Gyrocopter (Steam Gun): The Health per model has been raised in line with the Gyrobomber, (approx 1000hp per model), and the explosion damage of the steam gun has been modified to be heavily AP damage. The rate of fire has been trebled and accuracy of the steam gun has also been improved. The result is a unit with much more comparable damage potential with conventional missile units and much more survivability so it can use that potential.

Gyrocopter (Brimstone Gun): The Health per model has been raised in line with the Gyrobomber, (approx 1000hp per model), and the AP damage of the brimstone gun has been lowered by some 50 points. However it now has a bonus 200 damage vs large targets, (remember cavalry and bigger is considered large). The result is a tougher unit more able to deliver it's damage than before with a powerful anti-large punch but lacking in some of the infantry killing potential it previously had in compensation. This makes it the deliberate sidegrade to the steam gun armed gyrocopter it was allways intended to be rather than simply a better gyrocopter all round as it previously performed.


V1.1 updates for patch 1 compatibility, (Blood Knights release), and also buffs the flame cannons some more.

Man, maximum damage vs large enemies - 38, it is dwarf cannonball. This bonus almost has no affects. So, in this mode, brimstone copter is weaker than steam guns, and gyrobomber too.

he mate, just had a update for my TW:WH and its seems to have outdated your mod, may just be me but just wanted to give you a heads up, great mod btw, really helped me cremate those poor undead :p

For those who wants an artillery balance for dwarfs, the proper combat mod makes it good, slowing down battle ans artillery, ranged units, are to be used wisely, best balanced, heavy infantry and cavalry always makes more kills but ranged units and artillery smart used make well too.
