Description
Update: I'm no longer going to be modding for Stellaris. If anyone wants to pick this up, please contact me first but I'll be more than happy to pass the torch on.

A lightweight mod that adds one thing: A mobile subspace snare

The device itself is a Cruiser-only Aux slot item. It's intended to be fairly expensive item as you'll realistically only need one per fleet. The Mobile Subspace Snare grants a mild (10%) bonus to the ship's Sensor range and acts as an FTL magnet. There is no aura associated with the item.

The Mobile Subspace Snare is unlocked by a rare Physics/Voidcraft tech that unlocks after you can build cruisers.

All assets are copies of those found in-game. I'm no graphics artist, so I'm not even going to worry about it.

This mod changes no vanilla files, so it should be compatible with just about everything else out there.

Can you make it available to all ships? I want to add it to the Immobilizer 418 from the Star Wars Empire Ships mod

With 2.0/Apocalypse, I'm now getting back into modding (And playing!) again. 2.0 brings the Fleet Manager, which allows a much better control over support ships such as this one, so I will be revisiting it as time allows.

I have the Star Wars Empire Ships, and i was wondering if you can possibly add this module to the interdictors, mainly because i try to avoid using the un-star wars ships when i play as the Empire to Rule the Galaxy. Just a thought, or if there is a way i can edit the files to add it to the interdictors myself, that would also help.

I find it highly unlikely that there will be mechanics in which this mod would work well with the Cherryh update. I'm not going to officially discontinue this yet, but how it would even work with the update remains to be seen.

Testing shows this is compatible with 1.8 with no changes. Expect an update later tonight to get rid of the angry exclamation point.

@Seigi I could set the priority on the components to be high, but then they'd put them on every single cruiser. And being able to reliably jump in on every enemy fleet after they get cruisers and interdictors seems a little excessive.

Look forward to the update. This mod has truly made me enjoy war in this game much more.

As a side note though, I haven't had a game where a computer player built ships with them that I am aware of. May have just not noticed (and I've only played 2 games long enough since getting it to have enough tech in the game for them to get it).

I haven't tested this for 1.8. I'll be doing that this weekend, and updating as needed.
