AHI Gas Rebalance (Arcade)

Description
Latest build: 20210204 (01_200_025)

This mod is intended to completely rebalance the gas systems based on the available real-world properties of Hydrogen, Oxygen and Ice, with consumption set to reflect a more game-oriented time span.

In simple terms, time is scaled by 12. Gasses are generated 12x faster with no increased electrical cost, but they're also consumed 12x faster. This puts them in line with the default 2 hour in-game day period, as opposed to a real-world 24-hour day.

NB The default engineer's suits are tweaked to counteract this scaling. A such, flight and breathing times are roughly the same as the base game.

NB All changes compared to the previous release.
- Support for Warfare 2 Broadside patch and DLC.

Why?

This is primarily a maintenance build. All definitions have been re-established based on the current default declarations.

NB This means Tiered Updates have been added. I don't know enough about what the values mean to make any specific changes, but don't want to inadvertently cause engine issues by leaving them out.

Previous changes:
NB All changes compared to the base game.
- Hydrogen energy density increased to 311.2kJ/L (up from 1.556P/U)
- Engineer's default suit:
* Breathing rate reduced to 0.00408U/s (down from 0.063U/s).
* Oxygen capacity reduced to 4U (down from 60U).
* Hydrogen capacity reduced to 3L (down from 125U).
* Jetpack maximum power consumption increased to 660W (up from 100W).
- Oxygen Bottle:
* Capacity reduced to 6U (down from 100U).
* Inventory size reduced to 6L (down from 120L).
* Mass reduced to 3kg (down from 30kg).
- Hydrogen Bottle:
* Capacity reduced to 12L (down from 1,000U).
* Inventory size reduced to 15L (down from 120L).
- Ice:
* Now occupies 1.091L per 1kg (up from 0.37L).
* Processing has a fixed electrical cost of ~19.067 per 1kg.
* Oxygen yield increased to 83.16U per 1kg of Ice (up from 3U).
* Hydrogen yield increased to 30.553L per 1kg of Ice (up from 10U).
- Large Grid Oxygen Generators:
* Ice consumption reduced to 400g/s (down from 50kg/s).
* Maximum electrical consumption increased to 7.627MW (up from 500kW).
* Minimum electrical consumption reduced to 10W (down from 1kW).
* Oxygen production reduced to 33.264U/s (down from 500U/s).
* Hydrogen production increased to 12,221.2L (up from 500U/s).
- Small Grid Oxygen Generators:
* Ice consumption reduced to 10g/s (down from 10kg/s).
* Maximum electrical consumption increased to 191kW (up from 100kW).
* Minimum electrical consumption reduced to 10W (down from 1kW).
* Oxygen production reduced to 831.6mU/S (down from 100U/s).
* Hydrogen production reduced to 305.53mL/s (down from 100U/s).
- Oxygen Farm output reduced to 0.00102U/s (down from 0.03U/s).
- Large Grid Cockpit oxygen capacity reduced to 9U (down from 60U).
- Small Grid Cockpit oxygen capacity reduced to 2U (down from 60U).
- Fighter Cockpit oxygen capacity reduced to 4U (down from 60U).
- Large Grid Oxygen Tank capacity reduced to 40,816U (down from 100kU).
- Small Grid Oxygen Tank capacity reduced to 4,408U (down from 50kU).
- Large Grid Hydrogen Tank capacity reduced to 270kL (down from 2.5MU).
- Small Grid Hydrogen Tank:
* Capacity reduced to 10kL (down from 80kU).
* Materials reduced to 15 Steel Plates, 10 Large Tubes, 15 Small Tubes, and 10 Construction Components (down from 80, 40, 60, and 40 respectively).
- Large Grid Industrial Cockpit ([DLC] Decorative Pack) oxygen capacity reduced to 9U (down from 60U).
- Small Grid Industrial Cockpit ([DLC] Decorative Pack) oxygen capacity reduced to 2U (down from 60U).
- Large Grid Small Hydrogen Tank capacity reduced to 20kL (down from 350kU).
- Small Grid Small Hydrogen Tank capacity reduced to 320L (down from 7kU).
- Hydogen Engine fuel modifier increased to 1.556 (up from 0.005). ***
- Large Grid Hydrogen Engine gas capacity reduced to 54kL (down from 500kU).
- Small Grid Hydrogen Engine gas capacity reduced to 2kL (down from 10kU).

Please be aware that I am not a chemist, physicist or aerospace engineer. I have no formal training in any field even slighly related to this subject, plus my ability to concentrate is limited, so mistakes could very well be present. If you find anything wrong or questionable, please comment and explain why so I can look into fixing it.

Ah, I see. Keen must have made a slight change to the initial declarations at some point, which I missed. I was redeclaring "LargeBlockCockpit", but that entry has been moved to "LargeBlockCockpitSeat" for reasons I don't quite understand.

I've uploaded a newer version which should be fixed. Let me know if it's still a problem, or if I broke something else.

As with the Realistic variant, I've decided to revert the change I listed in my last two comments for the same reasons.

I've also been contemplating increasing the rate at which Oxygen Generators function by 12x, given there's nothing "arcadey" about a tank which takes a real-time day to fill. At the same time I'm also considering increasing the output of Ice by 12x. This would result in the generators consuming the same amount of power as their Reaslitic variants, and the same amount of Ice being required for the same amount of flight/breathing time - just with all times (usage and production) being cut by 11/12.

Ideally that change would remove design considerations between Arcade and Realistic, in a similar way to which the Inventory Multipliers work in the base game.

That'll learn me to copy/paste stuff... Hydrogen won't be going up to 5.6MJ/L, since that's the "realistic" value. It's going to be going to approximately 467KJ/L.

Just a heads' up on this: I'm planning to rework the numbers very slightly under the assumption that perhaps one day bipropellants will be supported. Ultimately there should be little to no functional change at all, but if you have anything which lists capacities, production or energy than it may give you a curious display.

Basically I'll be increasing Hydrogen to the correct 5.6MJ/L, or 7 times what it is presently (800KJ/L). At the same time I'll be reducing Ice yields to 1/7 and tank capacities to 1/7. Some of those numbers don't divide nicely by 7 so there will be some minor rounding variation.

Oxygen will be untouched.
