Shotgunners - Probably Not Lore Friendly

Description
Babby's First Workshop Upload

This little set right here includes two four six lol eight units for your buckshot pleasure:

Outriders (Shotguns Blunderbuss)
These riders are armed with a powerful blunderbuss and the speed of a swift Imperial steed to get them within the effective range of their weapon before the enemy can fully grasp just what kind of mess the impending hail of scatter shot will make of their undesireable faces. Shotguns Blunderbusses can deal impressive damage but lack range, which is where the speed of the Outrider comes in. Such close proximity firepower might still be out of the range of a pike, but this makes them all the more vulnerable to massed missile infantry who will generally outshoot any skirmishing unit that should find themselves in a sufficient crossfire.

Irondrakes (Canister Shot)
Innovation brings trouble and all that longbeard grumbling, but there really isn't anything fancy about ramming a generous mass of round shot into a modified drakegun and ripping a whole rank of stinking grobi to shreds is there? These Irondrakes carry the usual drakegun that has been loaded with canister shot, a good amount of packed musket balls, and is capable of dealing large amounts of damage to tightly packed infantry.

Handgunners (Blunderbuss)
State troops equipped with a blunderbuss and plenty of scatter shot each, these men do as one would expect and inflict high damage on enemies that should wander into their effective range. While they are prone to suffer casualties from enemies blessed with greater range, their high damage makes up for this vulnerability.

Thunderers (Grudge Raker)
Better armored than their umgi counterparts and carrying shields to boot, these dwarfs are more capable of closing with enemy ranged units and destroying them with superior damage. They have the same tactical application and more thanks to their solid staying power in melee and in a shootout.

Ironsides (Blunderbuss)
The Ironsides are a heavily armoured regiment of handgunners from Nuln. In this instance they wield the powerful blunderbuss, advancing upon the foe under a protective mantle of steel. Strong and fearless, they are also capable melee combatants.

Rangers (Grudge Raker)
Under cover of stealth, these swift dawi navigate the battlefield in search of prey. They approach unseen until they are within range with their fearsome weapon. To their hapless target, volleys of thunder roar as scatter shot rips through their ranks, the sound of death to the unwary. The Rangers slip away and all that is left for the enemy to find will be the gruesome sight of their fallen comrades.

[Great] Cannon (Grapeshot)
Human and Dwarf cannons are almost functionally identical, and so do the same degree of fearful slaughter when loaded with grapeshot and directed against dense infantry formations. Be it swathes of undead from Sylvania or a cackling horde of goblins trespassing on rightful Dwarf holds, a few clusters of iron shot fired from such mighty weapons of war will see to either transgressor and assure the dominance of their respective people over their lands.

NOTE: I took off my "King and the Warlord" DLC to test compatibility. I did not crash, though I'd like confirmation this is true for others as well, but it seems this unit will not be visible without this item in your game.
Rangers (Grudge Raker) REQUIRES: King and the Warlord.

Each unit is recruited from the same buildings as its vanilla counterparts. I'll probably add handgunners and thunderers with scatter shot at some point done lol. It's nothing special, but maybe someone out there needs a bit of scatter shot in their life.

The oath is satisfied and Shotgunners is now available for Warhammer 2. I hope I got everything tested and working properly, so please let me know of any issues.

The ideal scenario has eluded me as I've substantially underestimated the amount of work on my plate. Need a break, and then I'll get it done tomorrow. That's a promise.

Ideally I'll be able to find time to get a Warhammer 2 version compatible on Monday after work when I should either have completed my internet school work or have a trivial amount left over before then and I should have enough time that night to carry out the task.

So, if all goes well and I manage with few difficulties in implementing compatibility for Warhammer 2, I'll have it done by Monday night.

That's a shame. I'd do it, but I got no clue what I'm doing.

I'm pretty backed up with college work and work work, so it'll be some time until I can get around to this.

Oh shoot, I forgot to try to port this over. I had been trying to deal with some crashing issue when selecting a hero unit in my other unit pack before I try to publish that one to WH2 as well. Absolutely, first chance I get.

Will this get a WH2 version?

Oh. Oh, well, good news.

Sorry it took me a bit to get back to you, was out of town a couple days and couldn't test. So, still, even with only your mod running as Angrund, I couldn't recruit them, but then I did ANOTHER verification of game files and started another new game and could recruit them. So, no idea, could have been something left behind by an older mod, but it definitely wasn't yours. Sorry if I put you through any trouble for nothing, but thank you for adding them to custom battle for Angrund!

Wish I could say I knew what was wrong.
