Description
Beta 1.0 - Main Testing Phase

A large scale city siege with a vampire theme.
- set on the fringes of the chaos wastes a large vampire city sits nested away among the craggy mountain passes. The city has fallen under siege many times before and although living dangerously close to the chaos wastes, has withstood the bloody torrents of war. It is now in this hour, the city grows weak. Armies attack from all sides into the city and all that stands between the rage of chaos and the destruction of this great mausoleum of time, is the last legions of the damned and their bitter resolve to live up to their descendants before them and not let the city fall.


Scenario for battle - (recommended 3v2) The city's defenders have been caught off guard and outnumbered, though the city has withstood many a siege, now is its final hour. Although reinforcements are on the way, the defenders will have to rally quickly from the inner city and its fort if they wish to hold the streets and vital choke points that litter the city. Artillery vantage points and defensible choke points will make this a bloody battle for any good commander. (If deployment zone suck or are not right, please inform me as I am learning as I go)


This is a beta version and I am in the process of testing (although extensive testing myself is done I can only get so much done alone)

Please report bugs, floating objects or just critique as all is appreciated to help me learn and grow in what is a new endeavour.

0.5 update -

added props to fill empty gaps in rework
tweaked movement zones
fixed props floating
textured break in wall and made sure correctly working

Update 0.3 -
Huge rework of city to widen street and make no-go zone more direct to where props are
(I will sacrifice some props clipping for the sake of more room in confined areas, such as market tents, gravestones etc)
Added fx to swamps etc
Tweaked props
added war camp to main attacker deployment
reworked all no-go zones

Update pass will be happening today, I shall be making the streets wider and trying to get the camera a bit more (wish I could omit props from affecting the camera, I could deal with clipping for the fidelity of props)

I will also open up the wall so units can correctly move through the opening and thus allow another point of entry for the main attack force. Keep the feedback coming guys, i appreciate it.

Some streets are meant to be narrow but I have been tweaking them to all have more width, the update with that shouldn't be too far away.

I sadly hadn't learnt the prop fidelity vs gameplay yet in design (probably still haven't but I'll learn)

So having just played a game on it, the streets are VERY narrow and make it hard to play.. Also fairly difficult to use the camera in-game with all the large buildings. It does look very pretty though.

Update -
Minor scenery fixes
Added Props
Started new break in wall (cannot currently go through it, shall fix this tomorrow)
Changed scenery lighting

Performance is starting to get a bit heavy in the editor for me with this many props, so let me know how it affects you in game please, seems to take frames away for me, but my pc is not that great.
