Version 1.0.3 - Event and localisation update

Additions

  • Added seven new events with localisation to Norway and Denmark, unlockable by going the pragmatical politics route in the Nordic Faction part of the Norwegian focus tree.

  • Diversified some focus icons and added cleaner functionality to some focuses.

  • Added the rest of Nonjojålol's historical starting technology changes (+ 1918 support weapons, - 1936 infantry weapons).

  • Added much improved localisation to the King Haakon VII national spirit and some focuses.

Fixes and balancing

  • Slightly nerfed the "Grand Naval Expansion" idea (-5% dockyard output and 5% less reduction on convoy production), to account for it stacking with the other unlockable idea, "New Defence Budget". On the other hand, while the idea it gives you have been nerfed, "Establish Nortraship" now gives you 50 convoys instantly to slightly make up for it (and to better represent what Nortraship actually was).

  • Fixed issues with the "A Stand Against Communism" focus relating to Germany still getting wargoals on Denmark and Norway if they already started "Weserubung", and to the political influences and focuses it unlocked. Now Germany won't get war goals as long as the Norwegian focus is finished before Germany finishes their attack focus, and the Nordics will be influenced by German politics as they were meant to be if you go this focus. As mentioned earlier, the event chain has been added here. Naturally the Danes won't like you siding with Germany if you promised them Slesvig. Events for the Finns being cross with you for siding with the Soviets will come later.

  • Also added political pressure from the Soviets if you side with them, similarily to how it's applied if you side with Germany.

  • To help contain the foreign political influence there already was a focus, but now it's not available until later (and is now a full 70 day focus), so taking sides will include you having to deal with foreign influences without its help for a while. But when you get it now, you do get some help in getting your party popularity back on track at least (should you be democratic).

Version 1.0.2 - Large content update with some fixes

Additions

  • Four new party leader portraits by Zittrich added, meaning all possible political routes in the mod now have unique party leaders. Additions were Nils Trædal (democratic, Farmer's Party), Ivar Lykke (democratic, Conservative Party), Johan Ludwig Mowinckel (non-aligned, Liberal Party), and Adam Egede-Nissen (communist, Norwegian Communist Party).

  • Added unique national spirit portrait for King Haakon VII, also by Zittrich.

  • Added commander Kristian Laake's portrait, by Zittrich.

  • Took some feedback from a friend who got into the common pickle of having to fight both the Germans and the Soviets at once. Due to the nature of the vanilla major focus trees, AI Germany will always go for Norway and Denmark in historical mode, and the Soviet Union will almost always go for Finland. Naturally this couples horribly for a regional faction includning all the targets. Now there's been four added side focuses to the Nordic faction which lets you deal with that for a cost of political power. Call it pragmatism, realpolitik or survival diplomacy, but be warned, not everybody likes those who take sides...

Fixes and balancing

  • Fixed some issues with how the technology sharing focuses worked for those without Together for Victory. Now Norway always gets technology bonuses upon your counterpart's acceptance, and the counterpart also gets something out of it now. Also shifted some of these bonuses to be more fitting to the nation it comes from.

  • Added tooltip describing how the "Pressure Finland" focus works.

  • Made one of the research slots a bit more rushable, since having two research slots both be very time consuming to reach might have been too much. It's now equally as rushable as the first generic focus tree research slot would have been. Another bonus to this is that a historical focus order for AI Norway might be easier to achieve now, while still allowing the AI a fourth research slot. An AI focus order file for historical mode might thus be added in a future update.
