Update time fixing some stuff and adding others.

----Blueprints----

Wind weapons will hopefully now not shred armour so much it gives your opponents armour.

Cursed should start to corrupt your opponent now.

DO NOT APPLY POISONS TO WEAPONS, I am still trying to work out why it is removing your buffs from the weapons but for now do not apply buffs until I can figure out why it is doing this, its a real headscratcher.

Greataxe of poison now has its model in your hands thanks to Dee for reporting this to me.

Time scythe has had its emission calmed down as it was practically glowing too much I have added a new material to it more info on this below

Seductress - revealing chest piece I think Derketo worshippers and Settites will enjoy this.

---Fire element specific crafted in the improved armours workbench---

(If you want a certain outfit for your element with this material let me know, it has to be vanilla)

Thanks to professions modder Chuda Ruri for coming up with this amazing material, it looks amazing and cannot wait for you to see it in game, the Fire imbued clothing has this so you can see how it looks these are the following weapons that have this also.

If you think any other weapons would look awesome with this new material let me know and I will look at adding it.

Sorry there hasnt been an update for a while but I needed to test and make new items, iv learned a lot this past few weeks and am looking at adding a new npc and warpaint.

Reduced the size of the Dragonblade spears head (that was monster hunter game worthy lmao)
Added recipe icon for fires calling (sword)

ALL weapons now have a max durability of 7000, other than EARTH weapons which have 8000

DragonBlade Spear has had a lava texture and a new handle texture put on it, this is a big improvement in my eyes compared to the simple flat red and black tone but let me know what you think.

Thanks to Himari from the HU server for reporting a bug to me, at first the katanas would be on the characters back, I managed to get the katana to be on the players hip but this negated the element Bp I had put on it, so I have created a seperate Bp for each katana and they will remain on the characters hip and do what they're meant to according to their element.

I have done some research and video watching ( Thanks JUST HORSE check them out on YouTube if you havnt seen their videos, straight to the point and great content) to get a better feel for legendary spears, as you know by now the mod focusses on legendary weapon stats but is past end game, so you get the legendary stats with some extra rewards for jumping through the hoops the admins set for you in the server you play on.
To that end spears have had an increase to the stats of MORDLUN, 56 health damage & 12% armour pen, now Mordlun has 9% but originally the spears had 45% health damage and 18% armour pen so iv taken armour pen away and substituted with raw damage potential, I hope this is welcomed by the players, I understand some focus more on armour pen but the weapons need to be balanced right and im trying to use vanilla stats with debuffs so it does take some time to get a solid balance, this may change again but the server I play on is quite active and very vocal with me, though if you're not on the HU server please still feel free to message me and join the mod discord (link in mod description)

Axes have also had a bit of a change here are the new stats.

The axes havnt had a major overhaul but just enough for me to list them.

I believe swords, bows etc are in a good place for now, but balance is a different beast to tackle within creating so it will fluctuate with debuffs, Funcom updates etc etc.

Hi all, here is the new update bringing new assets in, changing some icons / meshes and cleaning up older assets.

New weapons added.

Syphons calm - water spear.

wind cutter - wind spear.

fires calling - fire sword.

blazing glory - fire katana (with particle effect).

avalanche - earth mace.

unbreaking chain - earth spear.

fire war fan - uses dagger moveset.

water war fan - uses dagger moveset.

wind war fan - uses dagger moveset.

Viscious Breeze - wind element throwing weapon.

Venom infused hooks - Forest element weapon.

Tridents are no longer one handed throwing spears that grant waterbreathing, theyre now 2h spears that will give icecore, However these now require the water infused elementium.
I am going to work on water magic to give water element users the ability to breath underwater.

ICECORE + SCORCHED will now give your opponent freeze / burn instantly instead of it being a gradual cool down / rise in temperature (thank you Chuda from the professions mod for the code for this)

All staves will now be held upright in idle animation stance I personally think they look really nice like this hopefully you will too.

Teapot / Teaset have now been reduced in size so you no longer have 6 Gallons of tea lmao!

I have started to work on magic around the elements, I do not intend to make this some crazy op thing that people will rely on, as I learn more and the magic gets more dangerous so will the effects, debuffs and pain on the wielder.
For now I have started on a very simple flame torch that Fire users will get (admin spawned, as on the HU server you must rp getting better and training to do said magic which I prefer this, though other servers may choose to go about their magic users differently, all my spells created will have to be given by an admin on your server)

The damned tree has had its textures changed again, I believe it looks a lot better and darker now.

Wolfrock no longer takes damage so wont dissapear after a single hit.

Icons

Icons have been updated for some of the models.

Removed items.

I have removed 2 weapons from the mod

Demonic greatsword
crude desolation berskerker sword

these two demon weapons have been on my mind for a while and to be honest as iv grown as a 3D modeller iv learned to do more model for less polygons, these two weapons were quite high and I thought long and hard about redoing them or salvaging in someway but there are plenty of better demonic weapons for the demonic feat and that is the biggest holder of 2h greatswords anyway, so I have just removed them all together.

Hope you enjoy this update as much as I enjoyed making it :D

Patch to fix the devkit for some reason adding a whole new skeletal mesh causing the game to not recognise it, I have no idea how it happened but I had to revert to an older save
I apologise for this and will get to the bottom of how / why that happened so it doesnt happen again.

Quick patch sorting some texture stuff out
DW Brazier now has a texture again, it seems like cleaning up the mod removed some textures.

Iv added one clothing item (Headress of the damned)
this is more of an experiment to see if I can start making more intricate pieces of armour

Im still working through some decor items and a few other weapons to add to the next update.

Iv also fixed some spelling mistakes in the item descriptions.

Hello Everyone so the Elements update is finally here!
Felt like ages in the making but now Im excited to bring you the Elements update.

A lot of things have changed with this new update as you might expect so here are the change notes.

First things first the mod has been massively optimised and reduced in file size,
This has come from the decimation of my models, I do try to optimise the models iv created before importing which shows, but they've had topology cleaned up further. The biggest cause of the massive file size was textures, I have deleted all the old textures that was used in old models as iv started making my own.
Doing this has had a massive impact on the overall size of the mod taking it from 3,396,737Kb's all the way down to 759,539Kb's.
This will help with optimisation and should speed things up in the background.

Instead of two feats there are now 8, each costing 50 points to unlock except for the first feat (Decors) which costs 1 feat point.


----Buffs / Debuffs ----

With these new elements I have made new buffs / debuffs which will be critical in the way you decide which element and how you will run your build as each one will give you TWO +4 attribute points + a debuff to your enemy (Except Holy)

Fire effects
Debuffs: On hit weapons will scorch opponents raising their temperatures as the sweltering heat permeates throughout them

Buffs: Strength and Survival

Water/frost effects
Debuffs: On hit weapons will lower enemies temperatures as a creeping frost spreads over them

Buffs: Vitality and Survival

Earth effects
Debuffs: On hit weapons will have increased Cripple

Buffs: Vitality and Encumbrance

Forest effects
Debuffs: On hit weapons will spread a poison through their enemies debilitating them from within ( forest users should rely on guerilla in out tactics in their fighting as their weapons will have lower damage / ap rating compared to the others)

Buffs: Agility and Grit

Wind effects
Debuffs: On hit weapons will be able to bypass armor, the wind piercing through even the smallest gaps in armor. (sundering effect)

Demonic effects
Debuffs: On hit weapons will corrupt foes, sapping their life essences as each strike drains away their vitality and energy leaving them corrupted.

Buffs: Strength and Agility

Holy effects
Buffs: Vitality and Agility

Variety effects: Wielding a holy weapon will provide the user a constant blessing restoring their vitality and energy warding off dark forces that seek to corrupt them.

---Poses---

Thanks to SiberCat Darkness Within has been able to have a new IdleAnimation (Staff) which I have given to North shaman stave.
I will make more staves in the future which will use this idle animation so look forward to that :)

----New Weapons----

Forests Edge - a deadly katana for the forest feat users

Skullcrusher - a nasty club for the forest feat users (uses axe moveset)

2 new arrows, the forest arrow which uses a venom gland to create a deadly toxin in the air, and a holy arrow which will cleanse corruption in AOE

----Weapon Textures-----

The majority of the mods weapons have all had a facelift giving them brand new textures without impacting performance has noted above.

this will help in making them fit in with their new feats, I hope you enjoy them as much as I did making them.
Over time I will continue to work on more textures for the rest of the weapons, following this new workflow I have to give good solid textures without making a massive file size.

Update.

Various stat increases for balance as this needed to be done after inspecting the weapon in DW.

Bows have all had their stat changes as the armour pen was at 90%

all bows stats are now 25% damage and 20% armour pen.


North watch -> 53 dmg 5% pen

Time Scythe -> 57 dmg 33% pen

Jewled Sword -> 49 dmg 11% pen

Crude Desolation -> 51 dmg 9% pen

Dragon Blade Axe -> 54 dmg 0% pen

GreatAxe of Poison -> 50 dmg 20% pen

Arkanians Glory -> 51 dmg 9% pen

----Texture----

Human Arbor was having a problem loading textures in now it has its own custom 2k textures which are working in the devkit so *fingers crossed* they work in the game , the texture I made should fit in with the theme better too.

The Elements update is coming along nicely though it is still a few weeks away, that will be a very big change notes list *cries* though it will be worth it :D

Hi all on this little update iv had to sort out some weapon damages as things were unbalanced with my daggers, iv also sorted out some blueprints too, As these weapons are pretty much baseline legendary weapons to make it worth the grind iv looked at how other modders have gotten around this head scratcher of how to make the weapons worth going out to the admin placed darkness within benches.

So because they're pretty much base stat legendary I will be having the weapons have 2 attribute bonuses and 1 debuff OR something else for the wielder ( such as corruption cleansing )

Here is whats been changed starting with the daggers.

HP then Ap

Hyenas Bite - 52 - 18 (exact same as daggers of dagon, but gives the opponent a very VERY slow poison, more of a meme weapon for Alex >.>)
Dual Gladius - 50 - 21 (decided to take 2 from daggers of dagon damage and give it to ap)
Thunder and lightning - 52 - 18 (same as daggers of dagon, also gives corruption cleansing)
Aifes Hooks 33 - 9 ( exact same as Venom-infused daggers, gives a grit and agility buff)

Iv got a number of Bp's made up now all weapons have their own and iv adjusted EVERY STAT it would be a very big list right here and the list will get lost after X amount of updates and patch notes.

So I will be working on a spreadsheet that will be in the Darkness Within discord server that shows damage, ap, what buffs the weapon gives + what debuff it gives.

Please give me a few days to get that set up as it is a lot.

----NEW WEAPON----

Repent a 2 handed holy spear, cleansing you of corruption this weapon has its own custom made textures already so enjoy :D

Provided there is no major problems with the stats or anything I wont be updating the mod for a few weeks now while I work on the big texture update giving every weapon their very own custom made texture made by yours truly :D wish me luck!
