Just a quick patch to sort out some more weapon balancing after looking through the data tables.

Most weapons had their damage increase a fraction, same with armour pen.
Laceration I made too weak so that has at a tick increase of 2 and a slight .3 increase in damage.
Iv updated more textures but it was mainly for the teepee as it just stood out way too much and looked pretty meh imo, so the teepee now has different textures on it, lights and dark furs, some stitching, dirt, grass, bits of fur, and any drawings are now on the inside though its not a lot, a few hand prints and random symbols.

I will look at making them have a representing animal, like wolf tribe, raven tribe etc.
If anyone has any Darfari ideas shoot them my way and ill make the teepee also look my in style with Darfari races.

Hopefully their wont be too much in the way off balancing issues but i'll know more if when the server I play on starts using the weapons.

If anyone else from another server finds something or has a suggestion do not hesitate to come to me you may spot something I don't.

Hello all I hope you're well.

You will notice quite a change within the mod after this update, I have decided to take the mod back to vanilla, the server I play on have also decided to move back. To be honest I have been on and off thinking of doing this for a while now, when everyone has max attributes etc it just takes any fun out of pvp and theres no real competition between builds, also balancing is just a complete nightmare when you're working with many mods that also have weapons and items for the servers above vanilla level cap and I much prefer sticking with vanilla attributes, it encourages those to think before acting in situations especially in rp servers.

To that end Darkness Within has had many changes and for the better.

The weapons in this mod are better than legendary in most respects, even if the weapon damages may be lower it is made up for with buffs and debuffs, there is still quite a high material cost and the blood ritual coins and shards of corruption are still needed and are still kept in the admins control so they can decide how players get them be that tournaments, events, killing bosses and these being placed inside Pippi kits etc.

--NEW DECO---

For now iv added one Teepee, its got one style but I do plan on making more varities for those who want to live the nomad life, I will be making more varieties and sizes later down the line, right now I made this one the size it is as it could be used to hold a few people plus boxes etc, hope you enjoy it.

-----DEBUFFS-----
Laceration has been reduced a little further to make up for this mod change.
ICECORE, SCORTCHED, and CURSED have been made better as this is an ongoing task to try to hit a smooth balance with these debuffs

---DAMAGES----

All weapons have had their damage and AP reduced to vanilla legendary or a little better for the mod changes though the debuffs and buffs will be worked on to make them more appealing to those who want to use them for pvp and not just pve / rp

----Cosmetic changes-----

Arkanians Glory and Champions Greatsword have both had a fresh new coat of paint bringing them up to a better looking standard with custom made 2k textures so I hope you enjoy the new looks of these weapons.
In time ALL WEAPONS will either A) get new cutsom made textures making them look significantly better OR B) a whole new model created for them as many were made months ago when I was new to modelling and I can make them look a lot better now with the experience iv gained and new skills iv learned.

There may be a few minor updates to even out the balance of the weapons as expected but they will be few and far between, a good thing to look forward to is iv started to experiment with making my own armours and im slowly getting to a place where I am more comfortable with them kind of assets so in the future new armour sets will be coming, I will be making a few new helmets first but in time these will advance on to full matching armour sets :D

Thank you to all of the players / Servers that have been supporting Darkness Within as it continues to grow its very much appreciated.

Small patch to add and fix some things.

A bit of rebalancing of weapon stats.

Angels pride - For some reason a part of Angels pride mesh was see through or in parts not even there, this has now been fixed.

New weapon - Zefet-Neb-Tar, A dark evil weapon that can corrupt its enemies (This weapon has also been given a fire particle effect, it works in the dev kit so im praying it works in the servers, if not ill keep tinkering around with particles until I have a solid formula to make them work)

Added a blue hazy light to the north shaman stave.

NEW JEWELLERY PIECE

Finally I have armour working, for my first armour piece iv made a golden lorrel which is craftable in the blacksmiths bench, now it isnt anything special stat wise, I personally will use this along with fashionista but its a small step for me to get in to more effective and better looking armours, it CANNOT be dyed, I still need to work out how to do that but progress is being made every week im learning something new so in time I will learn that, I think for my first few pieces of armour they will be jewellery or things to add to people rp then when im more comfortable in the devkit ill work on real armours so stay tuned :D

DEMONIC

These will replace the 4 feats we have now, I dont see the point in having feats when people just power level to the last feat which is understandable I do it myself and I made the mod O.o

So the weapons will be getting adjusted to suit these three new feats, some weapons will look darker and more sinister, other more holy, and the remaining weapons that I have in mind will find themselves getting a new look to match an element be that fire, water, forest etc etc
There will also be weapons better suited to your rp, I do plan to even it out so there is no meta but its just a balancing act and always will be, though hopefully youll use the weapons like I know a lot of you do already to further enhance your rp.

Ill next update when Iv got the feats sorted and the 2 new crafting benches, though there may be some hotfixes for balance issues etc you know how it is.

Enjoy the new toys and take care of yourselves.

PATCH.

I borked greataxe of poison which caused them to dissapear for players (trying to sort that debuff out to get over the 50 survival)

the admin on HU will refund those who have lost this axe, im hoping the admins on the other server would do the same.

This whole poison work around survival thing is proving to be a bit of a head scratcher, please let me know if it is working on your server, I will get it tied up im determined ;)

The fiends gift was looking hollow? or like cut in half was so weird, turns out it was a polygon problem which has now been fixed (Thanks Dee for pointing it out to me)

---- Debuffs----

Hyenas Bite now has a debuff.

All bows will now give +4 to vit & +4 to acc except from the fiends gift and scorched claw, they instead give scorched as im testing something >.>

I have timescythes corruption now working without breaking the game, Funcom didnt offer me a job so thought id make it work :(
so I have played around with it somemore as it wasnt really a OH SH*******T feeling when you got hit with it, so now iv hopefully made it better and still kept balance.

Scorched and ICECORE have been worked on more they give the debuff but this SHOULD actually increase / decrease your temps a lot more so you actually suffer..... meh its one of them juggling things, it will come in time, but have fun with them and tell me what you think.

Iv polished up some other assets slowly bringing them up to a better standard seems as the majority of them were made when I got in to 3D modelling so expect in the future for some weapons to change, not drastically but you will notice the better changes even if its just texture quality.

Ok its update time!

I'm much later than the rest of the other mods, but I thought you would all need a bit of a break after the multiple funcom updates and iv been working on NEW TEXTURES.

OK OK heres whats new.

BOWS!

There are 5 yes you heard me right five new bows for you to go pinging arrows at each other with.

A forest bow
A demon bow
A fire bow
A water bow
A wind bow

( Angel bow, Ice bow, Earth bow are in the making, also a new svard will be added soon too, I just havnt got round to importing some of the assets)

A new shield based on the spartan shield from 300

A new sword based on yep you guessed it the spartans sword from 300

These two weapons have textures iv never used before and made myself so hopefully they will go down well and you will enjoy them :)

A new custom weapon for our very own Hyena king Bench warmer thank you for your support to the HU server have fun with your new daggers buddy.

A new arrow.... ok ok its not new but I forgot to add it in the crafting table like 4 updates ago no big deal >.>
Its basically a light arrow that actually deal damage have fun angels and holy peeps :P

---- Debuffs----

Buuuut anyways.. Laceration has had its damaged reduced because it was sapping people, now it SHOULD only do half the amount of damage it was doing so people can live a bit longer now you're welcome.

EMERGENCY FIX

for some reason the debuff was registering as a structure!
Iv reverted that debuff back to what it used to be so if someone has 50 survival you wont be able to corrupt them, which is better than the other result.....

Debuffs (please note these are still being looked at for balance and its a constant changing thing, though I am doing my best to get it right first time)

CURSED debuff should give corruption regardless if the enemy has 50 survival
Increased the freezing & heating of ICECORE and SCORCHED as they were only making the enemy very cold / very hot hopefully now they can work as intended.
DECREASED the damage ticks of LACERATION, it was far too deadly hopefully this has now been rectified.

Increased the damage of the dual gladius.
Decreased the damage of Bloodlust, Jewelled sword.
Decreased the damage of Crude desolation.

Decreased the blade length of Skull Reaver and Crude Desolation greatsword (their blade lengths were... very long, even to the point I didnt think they looked right)

Japanese teacup decor has been lowered so they might actually sit on the table and not levitate now....
increased health of wolfrock

I am still working on how to get a particle system going on the weapons to give some a special flair though it is a long, tedious process, its slowly getting there but no particle system just yet.

Unless any really bad bugs arise (which I doubt will happen) or the debuffs are still not balanced... I will not be patching again until the bow update.

If you spot any bugs before I do let me know and ill work quickly to squash them.

Hope you're all excited about these new changes to the mod and how this will increase the scope of gametime after the later game and I hope this will also extend more rp for you.

----The Hottest of Fixes----

All weapons had base damage dropped by 10.
All requirements to craft weapons have been drastically increased, yes its more work for less damage but the weapons now have good solid debuffs especially the further up you go (trying to find a balance with another mod we are running on the server) it will take some time and a lot of balancing but together we will get there.

Buffs implemented, these are;
cursed (corrupting)
Laceration max stack 5 (bleed)
scorched (heating) hopefully this works as intended.
icecore (freezing) fixed as it was a constant freezing that wouldnt go away.


Dual gladius shortened to a more reasonable length and width so they would be realistically wieldable
Dual Gladius and DragonBlade Axe now have textures on them... I forgot to drag the texture coordinate in to the relevant box... my bad.

Iv not reduced the length of Skull Reaver as I am hoping if anyone uses it, it will be the giants among us and the short peoples like myself would be turned away from them as it wouldnt suit their rp

I do appreciate some things arent to all of your tastes decor wise, somethings iv brought in arent my taste either, but we have a varied community and I want everyone to feel like I personally can offer good solid Decor to suit everyones wants, be that dirty grimy rotting things all the way to sleek shiny and hey look at me I was royalty before I got banished here and i will pay to maintain that lifestyle.

If you have spot any bugs before I do let me know and ill work quickly to squash them, though there will NOT be another update for the next few days I understand its been crazy lately for updates and I do not want to bug you anymore with that, trust me I am trying to be as precise as possible when working within the devkit but sometimes this happens when making new Debuffs, Buffs and trying to balance weapon stats etc etc.
