Beta V44:

  • Fixed bug added last update with the heavy weapon Technical ammo items adding 2x the intended amount.
  • Added sidegrade armors for SPARKs. Plated and Powered tier now have alternate armors for heavy and light roles. The Heavy ones feature additional HP and Armor, reduced mobility/defense, and grant an Ammo slot. The Light armors have less HP/Armor but increased mobility/defense and grant the Dedication perk.
  • With the above, Dedication removed from the SPARK XCOM row and replaced with Close and Personal.

More Technical tweaks:

  • Shredder Rocket and Javelin Rockets swapped, so Javelin Rockets is now in the tree again
  • Shock And Awe (+1 standard Gauntlet rocket) added to the MSGT XCOM deck for 35 pts (replacing Avenger).
  • Extra Rocket (heavy weapon slot item for Technical) now grants +1 Concussion Rocket in addition to +1 normal gauntlet rocket.
  • Standard gauntlet rocket minimum damage raised by 1 for all gauntlet tiers.

    Other changes:
  • Single target Suppression (not Area Suppression) applies an additional -15 aim penalty for 1 turn that is not cleared when the suppression is cleared. Only affects XCOM suppression, not enemy suppression. This makes single target suppression a bit better.
  • Wilderness HQ assault maps: Adjusted the position of the "General Building" bit to improve the pod patrolling behavior due to line of play stuff.
  • Redid some abilities to use a config list of gauntlet rocket abilities instead of hardcoding them: HEAT Warheads/Tandem HEAT warheads, Hunter's Instinct, Bring Em On, Biggest Booms, stuff using the PrimaryHitBonusDamage effect. Let me know if there are any unexpected behaviors that might result from this.

Beta v43:

  • More perk/XCOM tree tweaks:
  • Ranger: Fortify in tree replaced with Open Fire. Suppression in tree replaced with Avenger. Fortify in XCOM deck replaced with Suppression. Open Fire in XCOM deck replaced with Area Suppression. Avenger in XCOM deck replaced with Shooting Sharp. Lethal in XCOM deck replaced with Blood Trail.
  • Gunner: Damn Good Ground in XCOM deck replaced with Covering Fire (accuracy bonus against cover does benefit Suppression and Area Suppression)
  • Grenadier: Lethal in XCOM deck replaced with Blood Trail.
  • Chaining Jolt animation fixed
  • Fire In The Hole now affects all gauntlet rockets and not just the standard one.
  • Templar Gauntlets are now tied to armor research. Plated Armor for the mag tier gauntlet, Powered armor for the beam tier gauntlet. Corpse cost has been removed and other costs are now standardized with the Bullpup.
  • Combat protocol robotic bonus damage nerfed from 2.5/4/6 to 1.5/3/6 since it is now a squaddie perk and exceedingly effective early game.

  • Chosen Assassin changes:
  • Removed Impact Compensation and replaced with a new perk: Enhanced Layered Armor.
  • After taking 40% of their max HP in one turn, all incoming damage is reduced by 80%. The reduction resets each turn.
  • This will provide a similar anti-alpha strike function, but will be easier to understand and will have less variance due to squad composition and attack order, so the experience will be more consistent and the Assassin will penalize lower damage weapon compositions less, while still working well against stacking higher damage attacks.
  • Spark XCOM deck also gains this new version of Layered Armor instead of the old version.

  • Quickdraw no longer applies to throwing knives.
  • Dark Event pistol return fire no longer fires when the unit is burning.
  • Fixed some localization errors
  • LW's pod diversity system now handles the specific enemy type sitreps such as Savage and Psionic Storm properly, and can fill out pods that were not given enough enemies by the base game system.
  • Added LW enemies to the relevant sitrep encounter lists (e.g. adding Chryssalid Soldiers to Savage, and Mec Archers to Automated Defenses).

  • Mark chosen as defeated if the Chosen on Holiday SWO is enabled to hopefully stop them showing where they shouldn't.
  • Fixed Boosted Cores adding damage to explosion-immune enemies.

  • Fix issue with XMB AddItem class not working with custom grenade launcher categories.

  • Adjusted Reaper again. Swift throw now at SGT, Tactical Retreat now at SSGT, Bluescreen Knives is now in the xcom deck instead.
  • Updated chinese localization.
  • All throwing knives gain 0.5 damage. ballistic now 2-4, mag is now 4-7, and beam is now 7-9.
  • Hunter gets Squadsight back.
