Patch 1.4 Update

Not save-game compatible. Please start a new game to gain all the changes from this patch.

Fixed Bugs
  • Fixed bug of a number of skills

New Changes

New Faction: Son Sheren/Sun Ce receives the Koihime Overhaul - ONLY AVAILABLE IN 200 Start Date

  • Starting situation in 200 is very similar to vanilla Sun Ce in 194 - you start as En Miu/Yuan Shu's vassal
  • Events will allow you to declare independence and forge your own path to complete the Legacy of Wu objectives
  • Altered some of the Legacy of Wu objectives to match with the Koihime counterpart
  • Overall, very little changes were made to the faction mechanic

New Start Date Now Supported - Fates Divided 200 Start Date receives Koihime Overhaul (still requires ownership of Fates Divided DLC)

  • 9 Koihime factions available in 200 - Sou Karin/Cao Cao, En Reiha/Yuan Shao, Ryuu Touka/Liu Bei, Son Sheren/Sun Ce, En Miu/Yuan Shu, Ba Sui/Ma Teng, Kou So/Huang Zu, Chou Tenhou/Zhang Jue, Mou Mii/Meng Huo
  • Start date situation drastically changed compared to vanilla
  • Guandu conflict between Sou Karin/Cao Cao and En Reiha/Yuan Shao are largely still the same but with different other actors in the fight
  • Ryuu Touka/Liu Bei now has very clear set of objectives to complete in order to confederate and control all of Shu - should you fail to complete them to get the confederation event, that's on you
  • Son Sheren/Sun Ce's starting situation is similar to that of vanilla Sun Ce's 194 start - with clear events to allow the player to declare independence and complete Legacy of Wu objectives your own way
  • Each playable faction gets a new set of missions, events and dilemmas - REQUIRES designated 200 Start Date sub-mod - https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?edit=true&id=2862788094 to activate
  • The Emperor Token/Imperial Favour mechanic has been removed - although you will still lose Favour when attacking fellow Han factions - there will be no consequences, it is merely a pop up of the leftover mechanic
  • The Han Empire in this start still exists, but are not aggressive anymore

Patch 1.3.7 Update

Save-game compatible.

New Changes

  • Readjusted the portrait coordinates of most of the characters
  • Readjusted recruitment and upkeep cost for some of the created unique units

Update: 19 Aug, 2022 @ 11:28pm

Patch 1.3.6 Update

Mostly not save-game compatible. Please start a new game to gain all the changes from this patch.

Fixed Bugs
  • Fixed a few skills to work as intended
  • This is not a bug per say - it appears Chou Tenhou/Zhang Jue declares independence much more often than she should if the player is Sou Karin/Cao Cao - I don't think I'll be able to stop the AI from declaring independence despite great relations, but I have changed the penalties for having your vassal declare independence
  • The "treacherous scoundrel" debuff for Sou Karin/Cao Cao if Chou Tenhou/Zhang Jue is no longer a vassal, or for Chou Tenhou/Zhang Jue when no longer Sou Karin/Cao Cao's vassal has been nerfed - it is still punishing, but less detrimental
  • The conditions for "treacherous scoundrel" to trigger is now more specific - TIP - If Chou Tenhou/Zhang Jue declares independence, avoid taking Chen capital before Turn 20 or Summer 194 - the event should not trigger after that

New Changes
  • Readjusted AI Chou Tenhou/Zhang Jue's personality and effects (not a guarantee that the AI will not declare independence - depends on your game - already made some nerfs and adjustments for the penalty trigger)
  • Redirect the pathing of Tou Yue/Dong Zhuo's unique inn building - still functions the same (just a change in design pathing within the mod)

Update: 8 Aug, 2022 @ 1:37am

Patch 1.3.5 Update

Mostly not save-game compatible. Please start a new game to gain all the changes from this patch.

Fixed Bugs
  • Fixed a few skills to work as intended

New Changes
  • Changed part of Tou Yue/Dong Zhuo's resource effect to getting Han faction diplomatic relations penalties or bonuses instead of the previous strategic threat penalties or bonuses
  • Tou Yue/Dong Zhuo's new unique units, Guardians of the Tou and Fearless Strikeforce are now unlocked at level 3 and level 6 respectively - over the previous level 1 and level 3 unlocks
  • Kou So/Huang Zu's faction resource starts at the second tier
  • Reallocated starting Han Empire armies to enable more room for AI to grow and survive
  • Slight rebalancing of AI Han Empire - they are still strong but it is now slightly more difficult for the AI to keep generals and manage armies (really depends on your game)
  • Readjusted certain AI personalities and effects
  • Adjusted diplomatic relations between Tou Yue/Dong Zhuo and former Coalition factions to be very negative/hostile in hopes of extending the war between the AI (not a guarantee - it really depends on your game)

Update: 24 Jul, 2022 @ 4:34am

Patch 1.3.4 Update

Save-game compatible.

Fixed Bugs
  • Fixed a few errors in the loc. texts. Courtesy to 佐渡岩, author of the Chinese translation of this mod, for informing me
  • Fixed a few skills to work as intended

New Changes
  • Readjusted Tou Yue/Dong Zhuo's Image reduction value when annexing Han territories, razing, or executing court officials - now you are more heavily penalized when doing these heavy-handed actions
  • Readjusted some minor AI behaviour and resource allocation
  • Minor adjustments to some of the character and ancillary art

Update: 13 Jul, 2022 @ 9:19am

Patch 1.3.3 Update

Not save-game compatible. Please start a new game to gain all the changes from this patch.

New Changes
  • Children of Koihime faction leaders and their subordinates will now inherit the family name of the mother (exceptions are the factions of Sou Karin/Cao Cao and Kou So/Huang Zu - the gender-designate of these two faction leaders are "male")
  • Added diplomatic penalty between Han factions and Bandit factions
  • Modified some satisfaction modifiers - management of satisfaction is now either more manageable or more difficult - keeping generals with red "x" together can now lead to more consequences
  • Increased dissatisfaction to any general forcibly divorced
  • Minor modifications to variantmeshes of some generals
  • Change gender-designate of Sou Eika/Cao Hong from "male" to "female"

Update: 1 Jul, 2022 @ 5:30am

Patch 1.3.2 Hotfix Update

Not save-game compatible. Please start a new game to gain all the changes from this patch.

Once again, apologies for another quick but save incompatible update. I was finally able to solve a bug that has been around for a while. Did not expect the solution to run as smoothly.

Fixed Bugs
  • Factions with newly created unique positions now have these positions transferred into the lower tiers of the Imperial Court at King rank - previously the new positions were kept separate from the imperial court, however there were a lot of nasty bugs that either occur or not occur depending on your game
  • Certain background effects were fixed

Update: 30 Jun, 2022 @ 9:25am

Patch 1.3.1 Update

Not save-game compatible. Please start a new game to gain all the changes from this patch.

Fixed Bugs
  • All newly created unique weapons now have the proper animation on the campaign map.

New Changes

Diplomatic Marriage Changes

  • Diplomatic marriages are now accessible again (previously inaccessible as I was experimenting with AI behavior)
  • Remodified some opinion modifiers for AI concerning marriage
  • Confederation through Marriage remains impossible to commence (too exploity given that more playable factions are led by women)
  • Divorce cost increased (get richer if you want to be able to splurge mass divorces)
  • Removed family relationship between Ryuu Touka/Liu Bei and oathsworns (AI is far too willing to give up Kan Aisha/Guan Yu and Chou Rinrin/Zhang Fei via marriage)

Population-based Food Consumption System Overhaul

Credits to Ironictw2st for allowing me to incorporate his mod and idea.

  • There is no longer food loss the higher level the cities are
  • Loss of food now depends on size of commandery population - the more population, the more food consumed
  • Zero population means no loss of food
  • This may make the early game harder as food is now more valuable
  • Some factions now start with negative food - Son Yenren/Sun Jian (-2 food); En Miu/Yuan Shu (-2 food); Kouson Pairen/Gongsun Zan (-2 food) - how to solve this? build green buildings that generate food or get food elsewhere

Other Changes

  • Nerfed splash damage of melee attack skills
  • Nerfed unit skills
  • Expanded AI Liu Biao's territories
  • Expanded AI Zhang Lu's territories
  • Expanded AI Liu Yan's territories
  • Most western Han Empire territories are at higher level
  • Slightly strengthened generals in Han Empire - they all have at least one layer of resiliency
  • All generic unique armour start in the Han Empire - if you want them, pray Han Empire generals leave with the armours attached, or fight for it
  • -5 satisfaction penalty when reaching Duke rank
  • -10 satisfaction penalty when reaching King rank
  • Minor tweaks to AI potential
