Patch 1.3 Update

Fixed Bugs
  • Fixed Chou Rinrin/Zhang Fei's Roar of Reckoning skill as it was not functioning properly

New Changes

"New Factions": 4 Main Nanman factions are now playable again

Faction Mechanics of Zhurong, Shamoke, Mulu remain unchanged - only difference is these factions now have Koihime leaders under the names Mike, Tora, and Shamu respectively

Mou Mii/Meng Huo received some overhaul
  • Created a resource called Gluttony

Each Nanman faction has the opportunity to confederate or vassalise the other 3 playable Nanman factions in your gameplay, based on the territories you hold - you only have one chance to choose to confederate, vassalise or do nothing

Other Changes
  • Vanilla Meng Huo, Zhurong, Mulu, Shamoke are removed from the start date as Koihime replacements are now completed
  • Added and modified dilemma events - mainly for the addition of the Nanman
  • Adjusted AI behaviour

New Changes

Map Changes

  • Moved AI Liu Yao to Yuzhang and Poyang Commanderies
  • Gave all of Danyang Commandery to AI Sheng Xian
  • Added Lu Kang's AI faction into the map. Starts in Lujiang Commandery
  • Expanded the amount of Yellow Turban territories south of the Yangtze
  • Han Empire's territories in the south are now greatly reduced
  • AI Zhang Lu is now a vassal of AI Liu Yan

Reduction of base game/vanilla uniques

  • The majority of base game/vanilla uniques have been removed in the 190 start
  • There are now more than enough Koihime uniques in existence
  • The following base game/vanilla uniques are still around: Liu Biao, Liu Yan, Liu Yao, Liu Zhang, Kong Rong, Zhang Yan, Han Sui, Wang Lang, Yan Baihu, Meng Huo, Shamoke, Wutugu, Mulu, Zhurong, Duosi, He Yi, He Man, Huang Shao, Gong Du, Pei Yuanshao, Zhang Kai
  • Most of the remaining uniques are faction leaders of non Koihime factions, hence they will stay
  • Liu Zhang's existence is necessary for one of Ryuu Touka/Liu Bei's events to trigger
  • Meng Huo, Shamoke, Mulu, Zhurong will get Koihime counterparts in the next main patch, for now they will remain
  • The Yellow Turbans will not be touched in this mod, hence they will remain

Other Changes
  • Han, Bandit, and Yellow Turban Generic backgrounds have been given stats boost - now they have 30 points of stat attributes from 15
  • Some semi-uniqes are given stats boost - most should have at least 45 points - if I am missing some, please inform me
  • Semi-uniques now have an extra layer of resiliency - if I am missing some, please inform me
  • Adjusted AI behaviour

  • Fixed corrupted bug where the "vassal annex" penalty dilemma was still triggering for Sou Karin/Cao Cao even if the vassal still exists

Fixed Bugs
  • Fixed bug where a number of skills had duplicate IDs and weren't functioning properly
  • Fixed bug where Ba Tanpopo/Ma Dai and Ba Sou/Ma Tie's common skill did not fire properly
  • Fixed bug where one of Kouson Pairen/Gongsun Zan's skills did not have a cooldown timer
  • Fixed bug where unit unlocks via Ba Sui/Ma Chao's unique building were not functioning properly
  • Fixed a number of conditions for events to trigger
  • Fixed bug where Son Miifa/Sun Qian had duplicate "fatigue resistance" trait
  • Fixed bug where Chou Sei/Zhao Yun joining Ryuu Touka/Liu Bei dilemma was not triggering at times (when playing as Ryuu Touka/Liu Bei)

New Changes

New Faction: Chou Tenhou/Zhang Jue is now released

  • Starts as a vassal to Sou Karin/Cao Cao and is REQUIRED to be a vassal for 40 turns, or face the consequences
  • After 40 turns, a dilemma is triggered to decide whether to remain a vassal (until King rank) or go independent
  • Earn a bonus for being a vassal and an opportunity to freely recruit 3 of Sou Karin's generals via dilemma (able to recruit 5 if remain a vassal longer than 40 turns)
  • Created a resource called Adoration
  • Encamped stance and a unique foreign agent assignment grants Adoration per turn
  • Adoration can be used to recruit new generals
  • As former Yellow Turbans, only able to recruit Yellow Turban units + siege units
  • Some elite units are locked behind reforms or the Conscription building
  • Created a unique Trophy Cabinet (similar to Liu Chong's and Lu Zhi's) - each "trophy" unlocks a MoH Yellow Turban unit

Other Changes

  • Buffed up Chin Tou's starting army
  • Son Yenren/Sun Jian is granted a temporary buff for campaign movement for 7 turns (Player and AI)
  • Removed AI Liu Dai's faction
  • Slightly changed Sou Karin/Cao Cao's starting position and land
  • Sou Karin/Cao Cao now starts with a vassal (Chou Tenhou/Zhang Jue) - REQUIRED to keep Chou Tenhou/Zhang Jue as a vassal for at least 40 turns or face the consequences
  • Extended AI Liu Biao's territories
  • Added 2 new minor unplayable factions - Liu Du in Lingling, Wu Ju in Cangwu - both are Liu Biao's vassals and start at war with Son Yenren/Sun Jian
  • Han Empire territory in the south, greatly reduced
  • Reworked some unique weapon stats

Patch 1.1.3 Hotfix Update

Save-game compatible. Recommended to start new game if playing Ba Sui/Ma Chao or Kouson Pairen/Gongsun Zan

Fixed Bugs
  • Fixed bug where Devastating Roar wasn't working for Ba Sui/Ma Chao
  • Fixed bug where two of Kou Shion/Huang Zhong's skills weren't working
  • Fixed model of Ryo Aashe/Lu Meng

New Changes

  • Loading images for each faction upon starting campaign are now personalised to match the faction
  • Nerfed melee evasion bonus on Ba Sui/Ma Chao's Training resource
  • Readjusted Kouson Pairen/Gongsun Zan's Renown resource - slight buffs for tier effects
  • Readjusted the potential and hidden effects of certain AI factions

Patch 1.1.2 Hotfix Update

Thank you to a handful of you in the mod discord server for addressing potential bugs and feedback for this hotfix update. The bugs and changes were done so based on their observations and opinions. I also would like to apologise for this update done in quick succession after the previous. I understand it may hamper your existing campaigns, but some of these bugs needed to be solved fairly quickly.

Fixed Bugs
  • Fixed bug where leftover elements of Liu Chong's faction in start_pos tables still remained and occasionally pop up on campaign
  • Deactivated vanilla Gan Ning and Wei Yan spawn events (yes, these are considered as bugs for this mod)
  • Fixed bugs to ensure some of the dilemma and events have a higher chance of triggering
  • Fixed bugs to Son Yenren/Sun Jian's 5 unique court positions - they now provide the intended effects upon leveling up the characters in that position

New Changes

A slight overhaul to Ba Sui/Ma Chao's Training resource
  • Ba Sui/Ma Chao faction's army stances (normal, marching, ambush, encamped) now generate Training per turn
  • Essentially, all standing armies generate a certain amount of Training per turn
  • County/Settlement garrisons also generate 1 Training per turn - For example, if you own 3 settlements, you earn 3 Training per turn, even if you have no standing army - if you own 3 settlements + 1 standing army, you generate 4 Training per turn, 3 from each settlement, 1 from the standing army
  • Normal, Marching, Encamped stances generate 1 Training per turn
  • Ambush stance causes Training decay
  • Marching stance also loses you food per turn
  • Decay rate of Training in the 2nd to 4th tier have been readjusted
  • Now starts with 250 Training upon campaign launch

Other Changes
  • Slight adjustments to victory screen images
  • Readjusted Heroism gain and decay on buildings and court positions
  • Slight increase in domain limit for the 1st and 2nd tiers of Heroism
  • Age of some of the older Koihime Musou characters were readjusted
  • Readjusted the AI behaviour of Tou Yue/Dong Zhuo
  • Readjusted Imperial Favour gain for Legitimacy
  • Readjusted Honey currency percentage gain for En Miu/Yuan Shu's court positions
  • Gates passes that surround Chang'an (San, Tong, Wu pass) owned by Tou Yue/Dong Zhuo start at level 5
  • Increased cost to annex Han Empire territory if you are the Imperial Protector
  • Increased Unity cost to annex Han Empire territory
  • Nerfed Kakou Shuuran/Xiahou Yuan's starting army so the AI has an incentive to deploy her in armies
  • Slight buff to some of the AI to make sure they don't suffer from penalties they can't avoid - the buffs are minor and not game-changing - simply assist in their early game resource maintenance

Additional Notes

The Han Empire will not be nerfed, however, you can use either one of these sub-mods https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2810763908 https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2810764224 if you are not comfortable with the Han Empire's strength. These sub-mods either completely nerf the Han Empire or provide a slight nerf.

Potentially fixed the Multiplayer bug, but requires testing to determine if this is true or not.

Fixed Bugs
  • Names of faction leaders in the menu screen now correspond to the Koihime counterparts
  • All playable factions no longer have diplomatic visibility with all factions
  • Fixed bug where the script for spawning characters during later turns malfunctioned when starting a game via a save - courtesy to Ironictw2st for helping out
  • Fixed bug where Defenders of Kou So could not throw their javelins (yes, they have javelins)

New Changes

Ryuu Touka/Liu Bei faction now a Major Overhaul
  • Added "Path to Unity" feature, similar to Vanilla Sun Ce's "Legacy of Wu" - courtesy to Ironictw2st for helping out with the UI edits
  • Contains 51 new objectives
  • Contains 15 set bonuses
  • Added two new unique units
  • Yi Archers and Yi Marksmen are recruitable only if you complete certain "Path to Unity" objectives
  • Disabled the unique confederation diplomacy option

Other Changes
  • The KOIHIME MUSOU - Age Modifier SUB-MOD will be deactivated from 2022/05/13 onwards. The sub-mod has been incorporated into this main mod
  • Age of Koihime characters has been modified. Most are now younger than before
  • Sou Karin/Cao Cao; Ryuu Touka/Liu Bei; Son Yenren/Sun Jian; Kou So/Huang Zu; Chin Tou/Chen Gui -Tao Qian have their starting positions modified (all missions altered based on starting position)
  • Sou Karin/Cao Cao now starts with Yingchuan commandery + original starting position in Chen
  • Ryuu Touka/Liu Bei starts in Xiapi
  • Son Yenren/Sun Jian starts in the middle of Changsha
  • Kou So/Huang Zu starts near Son Yenren/Sun Jian, faction's second army also buffed but in the same position
  • Chin Tou/Chen Gui - Tao Qian starts in Pengcheng
  • All playable factions now have at least one unique dilemma event
  • Son Yenren/Sun Jian's Mercenary Outpost building no longer has building upkeep
  • Increased Heroism gained for Son Yenren/Sun Jian's early game missions
  • Increased Heroism gained whenever you're under the domain limit and when at the domain limit
  • Increased Heroism gained for certain court positions
  • Seasonal Deployment bonus effect added onto the Heroism resource bar
  • The three oathsworn siblings in Ryuu Touka/Liu Bei's faction are now related
  • Hulao gate is abandoned territory
  • All gate passes owned by Tou Yue/Dong Zhuo start at level 3
  • AI faction Cai Mao now owns all of Nan commandery
  • AI faction Liu Dai starts at Dong commandery Iron mine
  • AI Liu Chong faction has been removed - Liu Chong and Luo Jun start in the Han Empire
