Update 1.7 "Waihi"
Updates the mod to be compatible with game version 1.7.x. Also includes the following content and changes:
New Zealand:
  • Added several animated event images
  • Added events related to West Coast coal mines, including Brunner mining disaster and the Blackburn miners' strike
  • Added new guiding welcome event for New Zealand for NZL players after Waitangi
  • Added modifier simulating settlers encroaching on Maori land
  • Added New Zealand public housing scheme journal entry.
  • Fixed some NZC events so they don't activate if a revolution is active
  • Added events for the Hutt Valley campaign
  • Added events for Wellington and Auckland to get militias in fear of Maori attack
  • Added event tree about the Waihi Miners Strike
  • Added events creating the towns of Nelson and Whanganui and the Otago colony
  • Adjusted the Wairau Affray event options to include rebuking NZC's claims or upholding them
  • Revised Traditional Mana Whenua law to work with the 1.7 ownership system
  • Added events for major crown land purchases in New Zealand
  • Added a new "Colonise New Zealand" journal entry for New Zealand
  • Added event for when the Canterbury Association settles Christchurch
  • Added settler ships arriving with new settlers to New Zealand in the early-game
  • Reworked the Northern War journal and events, which can now end in victory or stalemate depending on chosen event options
  • Added Ngāti Whātua as a new iwi, with its own flag
  • Added event for New Zealand based on the historical "Kaskowiski" incident

    Treaty of Waitangi changes:
  • New Zealand no longer gains ownership of the entire country and will now instead start with one province and whatever colonies the NZ Company established.
  • A player on United Tribes can no longer be asked to become annexed by the UK, instead becoming a puppet.
  • The event tree has been shortened, seeking sovereignty over the United Tribes is now done via a random list instead of several events
  • If the United Tribes cedes sovereignty, it becomes decentralised and splits between Ngāpuhi in the north, and Ngāti Whātua in the south, including any other iwi that UNT had annexed
  • Any iwi which cedes sovereignty to the UK remains decentralised but changes color to pink/red to symbolically match UK's map colour
  • Countries with an interest in Oceania gets a pop-up notification about the Treaty of Waitangi

Australia:
  • Fixed an exploit with promising to rant emergency relief for frontier wars massacre event to stack permanent decree cost reductions
  • Rebalanced Australian National Unity. All values have been increased 10x, the unity journal goal has been increased and unity gain from amicable relations slightly reduced
  • Added John Franklin as the Tasmanian Intelligentsia leader (courtesy of Lord R)
  • Replaced South Australia landowners leader with Robert Gouger
  • George Arthur is now Tasmanian Armed Forces leader, not Landowners and is Authoritarian, not Moderate
  • Replaced Tasmanian Devout leader, William Bedford, with Philip Palmer
  • James Stirling is now also bigoted and Armed Forces leader of Western Australia
  • Replaced Western Australian Rural Folk leader, Michael Clarkson, with Rivett Bland
  • Replaced Western Australian Landowners leader, George Leek (who is now the Industrialists leader), with William Brockman
  • Removed the Imperial Conference event. Now to become a 'Commonwealth' subject type, you use the vanilla system of improving subject autonomy
  • New event 7.5 years after Australian Federation about an anti-overlord lobby if you didn't already have one.
  • 'Queen backs Squatters' event can now create an anti-overlord lobby
  • The Australian Patriotic Association event now creates a pro-country lobby for the Presidential Republic model country and upsets Great Britain more
  • The 'Aristocrat bug' has been fixed (thanks to LXXVII), accordingly, the starting 'British Colonial Office Bureaucracy' modifier has been removed
  • Fixed bug where promises to New Zealand journal was not correctly checking for 5 barracks in each state and only if there was 5 in any state.
  • Fixed bug where transferring the Northern Territory to South Australia did not properly adjust claims.
  • Ensures the overlord joins the target of the Eureka Stockade Rebellion, which now starts at 80% escalation
  • Fixed bug not properly suppressing vanilla's Australian federation journal
  • Added flag option in 'Customise Australia' for a blue ensign with union jack canton (current flag).
  • New South Wales now starts with Frontier Colonization instead of Colonial Resettlement and the state adjacencies of Australia have been modified to allow colonising seperated areas without a land-connection to the capital that would otherwise be required.
Other:
  • Added Aboriginal (red, yellow & black) user interface theme
  • Integrated Rally Round the King (credit to 1230james)
  • Removed +15% landowners political strength fom Debt Slavery, in line with vanilla removing landowner pol strength from Slave Trade
  • The 'Web of Distrust' SoI event won't activate for colony subject types if the relevant event country is the colony's overlord.
  • New Guinea claim event updated to make more sense more often, affect interest group approval and incorporate lobbies
  • Gave the Dutch East Indies a starting claim on Western New Guinea
  • Slightly increased the arable land and starting populations of Tahiti, Tonga, the Pitcairn Islands, and the Christmas & Keeling Islands so that they don't starve
  • Centralized Tonga and Rapa Nui and gave the non-Tongan parts of the Tonga state region (Tokelau, Wallis, Niue, northern Line Islands, and Northern Cook Islands) to decentralized Samoa
  • Added starting rulers and heirs to Tonga and Rapa Nui
  • Added subject canton functionality to Great Britain's flag variations that did not have it.
  • Great Britain's colonial subjects have increased passive liberty desire gain (+0.08). Can be disabled by game rule.
  • Appoint Governor overlord action now works on colonial type subjects with monarchy enacted if the overlord also has monarchy enacted.

Narrative Content
- Added a decision, so if the player doesn't choose to annex United Tribes from an event, they can send a treaty later (before 1850)
- The event "Assisted Migration" now creates a mass migration if the most expensive option is chosen. The two cheaper options have their cost and migration attraction duration reduced by 5 years
- New event about New South Wales' first election
- New events about the pioneering of secret ballots
- Two new events about trying to get self-representation in relation to the status of being a penal colony

Misc Flavor
- Created moving images for the NZC ships, NZ Land Wars, Minnie Dean and Treaty of Waitangi event pictures

* Tweaked starting buildings in New Zealand
* Increased starting population of New Zealand states by 50% for better gameplay
* "Promises to New Zealand/New Munster/New Ulster" journal now need 3 government buildings instead of 4
* Commonwealth subject type can reach major power rank
* The Goldfield Grievances journal entry now times out after 3.5 years instead of 5
* The free company slot from 'royal charter' of the Australian Agricultural Company now also requires the landowners or industrialists to be powerful or in government and to be a subject of monarchy Great Britain

Bugfixes:
* Crown colony/dominion government type now only applies to Anglophone countries instead of European heritage
* General fixes with UI displays of the Crown Colony and Commonwealth subject types
* Crown Colony subject type is now considered equivalent to puppet, so GB won't demand colonies decrease their autonomy (leave New Zealand alone!)
* Fixed a bug in a Waitangi path preventing creation of NZL
* Various bugfixes to New Zealand events
* Colonies now pay 25% income transfer and dominions now pay 20% income transfer (was accidentally reversed)
* Decision and event for the Northern Territory to be transferred to South Australia should be working once again
