  • German Schwimmwagen recon unit no longer causes a crash when viewed in conquest menu -- problem was caused by two(!) dumb typos in one file.

Update 2.3

This is a gameplay-heavy update with major changes both to the way campaigns work, and for support call-ins.

New vehicles:

Sdkfz 10/5 (with hull armour) for Germany
(More vehicles are currently WIP. The observant ones among you might spot them in the files)

Other changes:
Air Supply

In addition to off-map artillery and airstrikes, players now have access to air-dropped supplies as support call-in. GER+USSR+USA now have access to air dropped small arms, munitions and explosives that can be used to turn the tide of battles and strengthen weaker infantry units.

The 'small' air drop option contains small arms and grenades. The 'large' air drop gives players a mix of mines, AT weapons, small arms and grenades spread over several crates/containers. The containers cannot be picked up and reused after each battle.

Campaign Length/Era

Campaign length is now GONE -- all campaigns are now set to 'long' difficulty and the player now controls the start date only. This will hopefully fix the problem of 1944 and 1943 start dates leading to artificially short campaigns.

Unlocked Maps/Factions
Conquest nations and map selection is now fully unlocked -- you can play as USA vs USA or play as the Soviets on Liberation maps. Many, many thanks to Coopy for allowing me to integrate his excellent mod into this one.

Added M39 Eierhandgranate to some German squads/breeds (PzPioneer MG Op, some FJ units, others)

Minor Update 2.29


New vehicles for Germany + USSR:
  • Bedford OYD (Lend Lease) for USSR
  • OT-27 (BKhM-4) Flamethrower Tankette for USSR
  • Kfz.70 (MG34) for Germany
  • Kfz.70 (MG151 Drilling) AA Truck for Germany
  • Bedford OYD Supply truck for USA (and UK, when it releases) [editor only -- for now!]
Other changes:
  • Reworked Brandenburgers: Latewar squads completely revamped with new uniforms and equipment
  • Kursanty(Cadets) added as a squad for USSR -- highly motivated but poorly equipped, these tier 1+ troops become versatile defensive units when given enough captured equipment.
  • Various cosmetic improvements to Soviet infantry units (WIP): mostly focused on removing excessive equipment. Conscripts don't carry handbags anymore.
  • Finally added x and xx models for various new vehicles added by the mod. WIP. Hopefully will make battlefields look a little more realistic.
  • Minor AI purchase priority tweaks for infantry (more elite units for latewar GER AI)
I've been working on this update on and off for a while, so there's probably other stuff I've forgotten to mention.

  • Renault FT (37mm and Hotchkiss MG variants) for Germany
  • Citroen staff car for Germany
  • Munitionsschlepper I/Munitionspanzer I for Germany (an armoured supply vehicle!)
  • Bedford OYD and Universal Carrier Mk.II for USA (Temporary until UK faction releases, then probably will be removed)
