yeah the fizzler was interesting, it kept some of its origional properties, and dropped others, it adds a whole new depth to there use :)

Fizzler is a new one to me. And I'm not too sure about that light bridge. Gonna check out some more of yours.

yeah, press either the pedestal button that activates the light bridge, and also there is a button that may look like it does nothink, but it activates a row of transporters, that rapidly change direction, creating a "anti-grav" field, once they are on you can walk across the water! the one that activates the fizzler is just there to show that you can put portals through it even when it looks like its up, but when you walk through it cancles them. the anti-grav was something I "Borrowed" from Mood3d, who i believe before him "borrowed" the Idea from Genosis...am I right Mood3d?

if you want to have a look at what was going on in there Lpfreaky90 have a look at this map https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=126334965 it shos the mechanism and how to achieve the effect, it also adds a new dimention to them, although as stated on the comments, is very very GFX intensive and you may suffer some slight juddering while going through the map, but all the guts and garters of it are exposed for you to see and tear apart at your own leasure!

Lpfreaky90....remember this isnt a puzzle, but an experiment to see how to create the anti gravity field and also, what effects the same mechanism has on other things in the game :) if you have a look at my workshop, there are some proper puzzles there.

mood3rd, making the timing slower for the light bridge would be an interesting concept, i guess playing around will perfect that :D thanks for the feed back, and my workshop shouldn't be private, I cant ever remember putting it as such...will have to have a look at that :)

good experiment & thats how we learn to make great maps :)

the internitant laser field, could serve to draw the players attention to a certain area.

the light bridge, if you make the timing less friquent, the player will drop & rise back on to it.
if the timing is to slow, obviously, they will just fall.
but it could make the player uneasy.
I have a more intermitant one, that you can sometimes fall from on:

the fizzler is good, but a lot of people may not attempt to fire a portal through it.
so you would risk no thumbs up, if players don't complete your map.
but you could put a demo at the begining of your map, to educate them.

the zero gravity field, you know I like.
but don't forget, if you use in your maps.
you can make it invisible, with enough grating between the player & the funels.
the other end maybe grating or place something their. eg a laser.
