When another player transfers units to you you can exceed the pop cap
And no, i've not seen this behaviour with any other map i've played and i've played a lot of maps
That is surely one of the most bizarre images I have seen. And I ran out of fingers and toes to count all the T34s you had there, mate. What tuning pack were you playing? Have you ever seen it do that before?
I have repaired bridges and moved vehicles across. I will have a look at that again though. If I can get that kind of thing to happen I will change the bridges certainly.
Lol. So true. Makes the AI a little more or a challenge early. I don't mind AI games from time to time even though they are stupid. The goal of the game then is to see how many kills one can get against them.
For your concern, it isn't too difficult (just some time needed) to post a version of the map without factional weapons at all. I will get around to it soon (work and family commitments permitting) as if memory serves 'Spearhead' tuning pack has issues with map placed weapons and those guys that love it would probably enjoy this map.
However, that you played to a stalemate after 2 hours suggests to me you fellas were enjoying yourselves too much, lol, and that there would have been plenty of scope during that time to try all manner of different tactics to break through. Surely in the 'superhero' vanilla experience of the game constructed artillery will fire across the river. That a mortar cannot reach the other side of a river suggests to me something seriously wrong with the game play and serves to remind me why realism mods make this game worth playing.
Please try some of the realistic mods and see how you go, recommending Battleground Europe or Kriegspiel as good ones.
Lastly, I will tinker with the map often. Look for alterations. Cheers mate
The river can be made narrower which would mean the city would need to be moved or at least expanded on that side to equalise the gap once more, a fair amount of work. Narrowing both sides of the river would double to work required. Another way would be to split some bridges to small islands crossing the river and although I see no sign of that in Mosul images that would be my preferred option.
Would love to see the changes and to play this map again

But, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who's said this, the pre-placed team weapons make these maps a nightmare to play with the AI. They sure do love their team weapons, and it is no fun to watch them pick up what you destroy, time and again, because they found it lying around for them outside their base.
On the other hand, having factional small arms is welcome. If you just got rid of the team weapons I'd be grateful. Please consider it for those who play against the AI.
PS: player 1 (USSR) have what look to be DP-28s lying around but they're listed as PPSh-41s. Haven't checked the others.
