Hey everyone, i'm the original creator of this mod and I'll be updating it to 1.3 :) So no need to do any fan ports. It'll be up soon. And Milk -- you can keep this version up for 1.2 players! Thanks for maintaining it!

I think the faction uses tribal weapons. But a poleepkwa colonist can use any gear a human can.

No, that's actually intended - these folks need some serious clothing to not freeze to death. I believe the hypothermia effects only start at 10 degrees below minimum comfortable temperature, though; they should survive temperate summer nights.

You seem to have missed a "-" before their minimum comf. temperature, it's at 24 above zero right now.

Thanks for the report, I've just pushed an update that seems to fix the faction leadership. I also tweaked the name and description, and the racial stats.

Is it normal that their faction has no leader? And I can't make one through leader regeneration.
The problem is that they are ok with me but don't visit with Hospitality - and due to having no leader I can't call them to visit.
So there's like no way to get them without spawning or getting them at the start.

Any plans on adding the weapons from district 9? My game needs some more power weapons that are uncraftable, it would also make prawns more valuable to the colony.

Hi, I believe I've fixed it. A def name was not capitalized properly, and it was mysteriously not a problem until a recent patch. Also be aware that prepare carefully doesn't randomize race, you need to use vanilla's randomizer first.

Removed Basepawn, nothing horrible happened to my save file, so it's now gone on the workshop mod too. Thanks for the heads up

Please delete the "BasePawn.xml" file in the "Alien Race" folder, it is overwriting core with an outdated file.

They actually have mental break threshold at 1%, which after the 1.1 update creates the thresholds at sub-1%. I am thinking of changing that back to the default human 35% even though this isn't originally my mod.
Aside from that, poleepkwa are bit more resistant to heat/vulnerable to cold, have a bit of natural armor and have reduced social impact compared to humans. They can also eat kibble with no mood penalty (a nod to the film). I will add these to the description.

Do they have any changes from vanilla pawns? Be good to list them is so. Hard to find alien races that are different and still balanced.
