There's a black square of sorts on his chest or so when I load him into Garrysmod. How do I get rid of that?

Don't attach yourself so much with the sourcebiped, you can use any skeleton if it has a max of 128 bones it's okay, well unless you plan on making NPCs/Playermodels

Yeah, I import them in the .something.ASCII format so it still has the rig, but at first glance I just ended up deleting it and re-rigging because it looked so different from the sourcebiped

Yes, but it rarelly happens here, also, do you know that you can get skinned/rigged meshes from XNA models, because the way you typed looked like you import .objs (not rigged meshes) and generally XNA outputs them all messed up, oh and no problem, I'm here to help :)

Ohhh, shit, I didn't even notice the combine meshes box. Hidden in the bottom left cornert of my screen in blender, hahaha

Have you ever run into a problem where the mesh faces/normals are facing the wrong way? I normally mess with XNALara models (or parts of them, atleast) so I could rip a cool hair-do for a PAC outfit, and 9 times out of 10 part of the texture is see-thru from the outside (not the inside) as a result of woops'd polys

But I know that's not an issue when you've made it into an .mdl, or are using it in XNA-- it's just the way PAC3 renders the .objs, I guess, but still confusing.

Not really, xnalara models are generally almost ready to go to Source, you just need to make minor adjustments, and this multiple parts mesh thing, you can tick a option to the importer to import the mesh in one single part, tho I like to import with multiple parts if I'm going to add bodygroups.

How did you find porting? I'm investigating it, and was wondering if (ideally) it was just merging the mesh (you know those 9000 parts that XNALara models are split into), rigging, then exporting, or if you had to mess with anything in greater detail?

Tried this model out, not bad, but I'm curious if you can make the hair less blocky. (Dunno if this is a texture thing or model thing).

Please people I won't do any playermodel, I don't know to and am not interested in doing it anyway, also said that it has a custom skeleton so will not be possible.

It wasn't meant for playermodel, this model has custom bones, and I don't know how to make playermodels really.
