particles with models have no gravity, like debris that falls onto the floor?
IRIS 1 Şub @ 11:08
Oh I see, thanks for answering.
WLKRE  [yaratıcı] 1 Şub @ 7:40
This was created before the render models feature that got ported from CS:GO.
IRIS 31 Oca @ 20:57
I have a question for this addon, whats the difference between the 3d particles for this addon and the "render models" feature for gmod official particle editor?
BladeOfThe2000s 14 Eyl 2024 @ 0:28
Im Not Often Precise With Estimates, Thanks.
WLKRE  [yaratıcı] 13 Eyl 2024 @ 14:31

The particle effects you create will be found in: "GarrysMod\garrysmod\data\3d_particle_system_editor". They will not be found in your spawn menu. The tool outputs a particle file that can then be used with this addon. Its a tool for developers, not for PAC3 or for spawning them. You need Lua to spawn them in. For more information refer to the Github page of the 3D Particle Effect Editor.
Gaming Screwdriver 10 Oca 2024 @ 14:07
If you want to know why I'm asking this, I'm trying to use my particles with PAC3.
Gaming Screwdriver 10 Oca 2024 @ 14:05
@W L K R E, with your mod 3D Particle System Editor (I'm commenting here cause you removed commenting on the other thing), how do you find the particles you've made in Gmod? Like how you can find models in the spawn menu, cause it shows it CAN be found in the Gmod spawn menu.

Hey there! I was wondering: what models/materials you used in your Addon post screenshots (for example, the circular lil' shockwaves and the numerous small orange particles)?

Great mod btw, it's going to help me tons with my projects!
lonnygarden 3 Oca 2023 @ 0:50

@TRICKY THE CLOWN

if someone used this to make some dragon ball stuff, that would be pretty fucking neato.

WLKRE  [yaratıcı] 24 Kas 2022 @ 7:31
@DogMan, if you want to use SetAngles, you’ll to set RotateAroundNormal to true and define the up vector with SetRotationNormal.
Drputtyboss 24 Kas 2022 @ 4:56
3d fire, NOW!
Dogman 24 Kas 2022 @ 3:47
@WLKRE Very much love this so far and will be heavily utilising this framework, well done.

Quick question though, is setting angles bugged? I can't seem to set the angle of a tube using effect:SetAngles(Angle(0,0,80)) for example
LoopToop 23 Kas 2022 @ 17:26
could do some cool dragon ball mods with this
Diet Doctor Kelp 23 Kas 2022 @ 13:06
this addon probably means Metal Gear Solid 3 style explosions and fire are possible now. pretty cool!

@King David, Have fun! 😎
King David™ 21 Kas 2022 @ 20:30
Looking forward to messing around with it!
King David™ 21 Kas 2022 @ 20:30
Oh that's good to hear. I was just wondering because when I saw the effect base I was expecting a completely different readme hah
WLKRE  [yaratıcı] 21 Kas 2022 @ 20:23
@King David, from what I've seen, there isn't any built in way to create 3D particles in Source. Effects don't offer the possibility to use 3D models, therefor this framework was created to do just that. This framework also handles everything clientside (except for the system).
King David™ 21 Kas 2022 @ 20:20
Is there a particular reason you angled to use this with entities instead of effects, which would be clientside?
