I second moving Mannfred back to somewhere in Sylvania. That way, it would be compatible with "Legions of Nagash" mod.

Eventually we'll get Nagash from CA in official capacity and he'll be certainly starting in Nagashizzar, as well.

Most likely it's another non-updated mod causing a script crash, preventing this mod's scripts from running on a new game.

@sirmicou85, it is not, this is just a revival of an old mod. I was going to retire it but Swissbob seems to be away again so I'll keep supporting it.

The only other start position I'd love to see split off is the Changeling to Cathay. It just feels a lot more interesting to start there compared to the Empire.

Another alternative if it is more convenient for you would be to make a standalone Start Position change mod for Skrag the slaughterer. He is the only lord on the list that I really want relocated who doesn't already have a standalone pack. Then I could just use the standalone mods to tailor the campaign to my preference. More ogres in the mountains of mourn and more breathing space for the border princes. :)

Monolith of Bjorkil Bloody hand and Doomkeep (both in central norsca) are both viable options for a start locations in Norsca. There is also Daniels old stomping grounds in the Forests of Decay as well as the Demons Gate in the southern wastes. I'm thinking maybe move Sigvald to start at either Tower of Khrakk (Azazels old start), Monolith of Bjorkil Bloody hand or Doomkeep. And move Azazel to either Forest of Decay, Monolith of Bjorkil Bloody hand, Doomkeep or Demons Gate in the south?

Just some suggestions.

Hello.
I would like to make a request if it's not to much trouble. Could you make another version of this mod without the changes to Sigvald and Azazel or a compatibility patch to move them to new starting locations?
I ask because in the mod list I am putting together, their new start locations is conflicting with other new mod factions and changes, causing them problems. The Albion mod moves Belakor to the Monolith of Katam (where Sigvald starts), and since his turn comes before Sigvalds he takes the settlement and vassalizes the Varg leaving Sigvald homeless and without an enemy. Sometimes he manages to find a new home but 90% of the time he just dies.
As for Azazel, his new start position conflicts with the Cabal faction from Mixu's Legendary Lords, also leaving him homeless at the start. I have never seen him succeed in finding a new home in my play tests, he always dies.

Other than that everything else works just fine!
I hope you consider my request. :)

Hey Porkenstein! Author of the original mod here. Just wanted to say great job fixing some of the issues with my original mod, and thanks for keeping it up to date! I'm finally returning to the game and wanted to update my original mod for all that's changed since (and add a few new changes). Do you mind if I incorporate some of your fixes here into my update? @FishDogFoodShack, it actually doesn't... I think what's happening is that because it's still aware of Kugath's existence, they declare war on each other later on for lack of a better target.

This is a fantastic mod but doesn't seem to update the campaign start screen to show the new start poisions. Is this feature not part of the mod, or is it conflicting with another map mod? (I use one that shows climate tolerance colored on the world map)

Tepok's Spawn still start the game at war with Kugath, in my games they usually lose all but one settlement to Imrik before signing peace, then send armies across the darklands to try to get him.

@Nexus, my mods don't change the "Startpos" database which modify some core map info. these mods are just scripts that move things around.

Lastly, move Cylostra Direfinn to an island somewhere on the southern seas. I know her goal is to conquer Lothren, but having a vampire coast presence roaming the seas would add much flavor to those regions. I would propose either the island of Melay or the Tower of Stars in the eastern colonies(to tie into her conquest of the high elves).

One final minor edit, not related to IEE. Get Mother Ostankya out of Nagaroth and more in the direction of Kislev. She has no purpose in protecting Kislev from a thousand miles away.

These are just some ideas off the top of my head, so do with them what you want. Thanks for asking for my thoughts, and good luck!

Move Vilitch the Curseling further north into the steppes. I would propose the Tomb of the Barking Dog. This more central position gives the player more options to invade Cathay as usual, invade (Korea) or even pack up and use the northeastern portal to travel to Nagaroth if they want.

move alberic de borderlaux to kuresh. Alberic moving out of Bretonnia is nice, but his settling in Lustria takes the special away from Markus Wolfhard. Moving him to Kuresh lets him keep the far-away crusader vibe without copying the Empire campaign. There is already a Bretonian faction in the province Cochincathay, so transfer that to Alberic.

Some ideas I have around positions:
Move Lokhir Felhard to Ind. Cathay has a hard time as it is (at least in most of my campaigns). Lokhir is most known for his exploits in Ind, so moving him there could tie nicely to that story. A nice starting settlement for this could be Somnagiri. But any coastal settlement would suffice.

Move Yuan Bo's secondary starting position to either Kuresh or the lost Iles of Elithis. I don't own Shadows of Change, but I really dislike a major Cathay presence in Lustria. I know the story is that he is hunting for pillars of the old one. So move him to the southern jungles or the iles. Especially in Kuresh, there is a lizardmen presence, so the story can tie in there and allow the few players that own SoC to conquer the southeastern islands.

Move either Valkia or Azazel to Ind. Ind is the land of thosand gods, many of which are chaos-aligned. This is the perfect opportunity for a mortal chaos champion to make their mark on those regions.
