Mod description says Rostov port is included but Rostov is situated on a black sea coast far to the south from all other ports in mod, maybe it's a mistake? Looked at it's availibity through year - data says spring-summer-automn, in winter not always ice bound. Seem to me really diffirent from other far north ports. After all there are alot of other ports that could ocassionally become ice bound in the winter and none of them in the mod.

VTM's version is slightly outdated last time i checked, it won't hurt for you to get both either way. just get the load order right.

Now that 1.5 has new effects for switching out state traits dynamically, do you think this mod could be changed to add the cold water ports traits via the new effect in the history files rather than updating the map itself? It'd go a long way for mod compatibility (and I'd love to use this mod again)

I would love an update to this mod. Right now with the changes to having vineyards seperated, for some reason means no vineyards are in france with this mod on, yet they are in other places.

This is crazy that this isn't in any other Paradox game, like Europa Universalis 4 would be completely different in the winter when all the rivers and seas freeze. Thank you fro this addition.

Hello, five_x. Thanks for the feedback. I did some research and you have a good point. I also think it makes sense from a balance perspective, since I would rather not decrease the convoy supply in the British market. So I think you are right and I changed it. Thank you!

I updated the mod:

- Increased the Port Throughput penalty to 50% (from 40%) to make it a bit more impactful.
- Added Cold Water Port to the state of Alaska (read description)
- Removed Cold Water Port from the state of Newfoundland, since the port of St John was ice-free and a key port in north Atlantic trade. Thanks to Five_x for bringing this to my attention.

Newfoundland shouldn't have a cold-water port - the Port of St. John's is well-known for being ice-free all year. Before canals and icebreakers made the St. Lawrence Seaway viable for the transit of industrial goods from the Great Lakes to the Atlantic, it played a pretty key role in Atlantic trade.

Hey drewfro666, thank you for the suggestion! I actually considered it, but quickly decided against it for two main reason:
- First, I wanted to keep the mod as unintrusive as possible so it is as compatible as possible
- Second, and above all, I was already satisfied with Paradox decision not to make the Hudson Bay coastal, because the Hudson strait wasn't navigable for the overwhelming majority of the year
