-Updated internal file structure to a new standard to allow better compatibility with other mods.
-Fixed a few bugs where some entity entries were using the incorrect values.
I'd be curious to take a look, but unfortunately at this time I don't own the game. Otherwise, sounds like fun!
@beanFlick
I'm going to say 1100 AD compatibility isn't likely. I did take a look at its file structure and noticed it shares a few entries that this also edits, meaning this mod can override the ones in 1100 AD. However, 1100 AD also has many custom entries that this mod doesn't account for, meaning it will be a mish-mash of modded and 1100 AD entries.
-Horse masses recalibrated to better reflect the horses of the time period.
-Physics calculations for collision damage have been redone. Collision damage now scales linearly with the mass and acceleration of the unit to better match real-life physics.
-Reduced maximum bracing clamp from 10 to 4.8.
-Increased maximum standard battle line bracing from 3 to 3.2.
-These changes should allow cavalry, chariots, and elephants to better break into and break through formations.
Interesting finds! What type of units are you testing them against? Results will vary depending on whether or not they're in a formation or are bracing, where it's possible for a 10x bracing bonus to be reached (which multiplies mass up to 10x), meaning the results of a charge can vary greatly based on this. Unfortunately, these values are in a file called _kv_rules, which affects a LOT of battle elements, and I preferred to leave this file untouched in the event that other battle-affecting mods are loaded in.
Yes, I would love to create a version for Attila! However, unfortunately, at this time I don't own Attila, so it can't happen for a while.
Of course! Hope you enjoy!
Thank you for the kind words!
Yes, this should be save-game compatible! Hope you enjoy!
You are a CRACK!!!
