do you have a version of your survial ships that are additions rather than replacements? I like the ship, but sometimes i want options

now that I think about it, I have realistic invenotory setting, so it might be too heavy to land on this setting...
Torham 9 Dec, 2016 @ 5:36am
this ship seems unable to slow down for landing. I have vanilla game with only this mod istalled and trying out the solar system scenario. I have tried to land about 5 times, each time it just fails to slow down and explodes on surface. no speed increasing mods or anything, just vanilla.

Yea NP. It was really weird cause the cockpit was fine as well the air vent did its job I just found it strange that the game thought there is no oxygen around the ship... but yea other than that Gr8 ship m8
Kothe  [author] 27 Jun, 2016 @ 6:33pm
Hey Zaria, thanks for the heads up. I'll look into the no oxygen issue.
MOXzy 27 Jun, 2016 @ 10:59am
Is this ship like deadly to go near or some shit? I started a world with this (dear god you MUST NOT have any sort of speed increasing mod while trying to land) But like every single time I went close to any part of the ship oxygen suddenly hits 0 and you suffocate with Helmet off, which is and easy fix, Keep the helmet on, But i mean if im in a high oxygen atmosphere ima take it off cause whats the point wasting ice... Anways im not sure what caused this but this has only ever happened with this ship. Just thought youd want to know

Hey Wolverine, sorry for the very late response! I don't believe they will work like that, no - the mod at the top of the list will be the only one that works. I'm still tinkering with ideas for collection packs though, I'll let you know as soon as there's been any progress.
Wolverine 26 Mar, 2016 @ 6:07am
Can this AND the Lander mods be both added and work at the same time?

@artfulmonster34 Let me know if you really want me to make that custom version. I haven't done it yet because I never heard back from you!

@Wolverine I've been planning a couple of different collection packs for a while but have never gotten around to it. I'll see what I can do this weekend!
Wolverine 23 Mar, 2016 @ 5:40am
Please make a collection pack of your respawn ships!
Kothe  [author] 6 Mar, 2016 @ 2:51pm
I can probably make a quick custom green version later today after I get off work, sure. I'll let you know how it goes.
artfulmonster34 6 Mar, 2016 @ 7:33am
Hey Kothe could you add a green version or lime green like value 100 and saturation 10 because thats the color of my suit in the game
Kothe  [author] 28 Dec, 2015 @ 9:19pm
Hey ryder2341. I've started multiple survival worlds with only this ship and managed to pretty easily build up a fully functional base in no time at all. If you read the description above you'll see a list of all the things that can be built from the components provided inside the ship's cargo containers.

For players used to starting with a Refinery it might seem a little odd having to deal with an Arc Furnace, but it shouldn't take too long to upgrade once a decent deposit of Iron can be sourced.
ryder2341 28 Dec, 2015 @ 5:56pm
The issue with this ship for a straight landing is that once you land after making a new world, you have no materials to get started -_- The default ship comes with an assembler and such I believe, but with this you don't have the ability to make enough materials to survive once you land.
Kothe  [author] 18 Dec, 2015 @ 10:10pm
Thanks Quaxo, and sorry for any confusion.
Zer0signal 18 Dec, 2015 @ 3:28pm
Ah, ok Kothe. In that case, mission accomplished. Still like the ship though.
Kothe  [author] 18 Dec, 2015 @ 2:51pm
Thanks, Capt Jack! Much appreciated.
Capt Jack 18 Dec, 2015 @ 1:29pm
This is perfect, thank you so very much. I got the blueprint as well and rated up. :)
Kothe  [author] 17 Dec, 2015 @ 8:39am
Hey Quaxo. While the pod is designed to function in space, that's only if you actually spawn in space. It was never meant to be able to escape a planet's gravity. I felt that ability would make it a bit too overpowered for a respawn ship.
Zer0signal 17 Dec, 2015 @ 5:26am
I really like the design of this ship. It's a nice, small ship and makes a good short-range utility/hauling ship once you get set up. Definitely keeping it in my collection for that.

While I was able to complete planet landing in it, I've yet to be able to escape a planet's gravity well. Once I hit about 4000m, the layout lacks the power to break free and begins to descend again.
Kothe  [author] 16 Dec, 2015 @ 5:37pm
That's unfortunate, but the pod has only been tested under vanilla settings. I'll have a look into making it compatible with speed (and other) mods when I have some free time.
Shoku 'Jetwash' Silverfall 15 Dec, 2015 @ 1:53pm
Hmm I may have spoken too soon. It worked fine on my test map but I have yet to successfully land on the server.
Shoku 'Jetwash' Silverfall 15 Dec, 2015 @ 1:21pm
With those other 2 mods the default lander tends to lose the landing gear, ramp, and floor before it slows down enough. And even then it's so hot if you get out of the seat you instantly die. But near as I can tell your ship doesn't even start to heat up (~250 m/s) when entering the atmosphere.
Kothe  [author] 15 Dec, 2015 @ 1:11pm
Oh? I'll have to try those out! I've only tested the pod under vanilla settings so far. Glad you like it.
Shoku 'Jetwash' Silverfall 15 Dec, 2015 @ 1:07pm
This ship works great when combined with the re-entry effects mod and the 500 m/s mod. I can finally has landing again!
Kothe  [author] 14 Dec, 2015 @ 6:55am
The pod's gone through a bit of an overhaul to keep it up to date with certain advancements made during the creation of the Lander Respawn Pod . Hopefully you should find it much more reliable to land now!
Kothe  [author] 3 Dec, 2015 @ 7:18pm
Hey, that sounds odd since I'm usually able to come to a complete stop anywhere between 1000m and 200m off the ground (depending on how exactly I angle the pod on the way down). I planned to make some small tweaks later today so will have a look at possibly adding a few extra upwards thrusters.
ByteMeIfYouCan 3 Dec, 2015 @ 10:52am
Hey, I very much love the design on these ships and decided to give them a test-run on a 'Star System' start. I didn't have much luck landing these things however. The 6 small atmospheric thrusters don't seem to really cut it when doing a drop from space to the surface. I'm still going well over 70m/s when i'm as good as on the ground. Are these ships not designed to function as dropships, or am i simply doing something wrong?
