Do you have a Chinese patch? Beg begs!
There is another mod actually developed by Haradrim (https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=877556036) that will bring the Tomb Kings into the campaign soon! Haradrim has clearly more fleshed out unit models and textures and a better understanding of the lore, I think. Therefor I don't plan to update this mod. I am looking forwards to play his mod, too ;)
@ilearill: You can play without the new updates and patches by selecting the old patch as a beta in the games properties in steam. Patch 1. However I would now advise you to wait for Haradrims upcoming mod, which will include all new changes like Wood Elfs, Beastmen, bretonnia etc. in campaign.
For me the mod worked with patch 2, but as it didn't seemed to work for the others I have updated the version to the patch 1 version which is now working with patch 1.
Look into the mod description for a short manual how to use it.
Two other things I forget to mention in my manual how to use this mod (which is updated now)
- you also have to deinstall all DLCs but the first Warrior of Chaos DLC (Steam --- Properties)
- you can't use the "Occupation Removal" mod as this mod got updated for new races and factions. This makes the campaign play a little bit hard as tomb kings, without the opportunity to capture new terrirotires in the south.
come back to me this mod is life
And Andrew. Fuck you. Give the guy a break. Modding an entire faction with a very wide roster like the Tomb Kings have is a lot. Go play the MTW2 mod to get an idea.
- in Steam: - Warhammer -and select Properties
- select Betas and select "patch 2"
- Wait for Steam to download the old patch data and start with no other mods activated but maybe my tomb kings submods (only very small mods like camera mods may work too)
Thats it for now. I will keep modding, but my projects in the future will be much smaller. I am looking forward to mod the tomb kings, when they are implemented by CA.
If you REALLY want to play this mod, than you have still one option. You can change the Version of Warhammer (thanks to CA!) in Steam to the old patch version. Than the mod and both of its submods will work. However, all other mods that have been update will most likely not work anymore and lead to crashs.
Sorry, but I am not able to update this mod. Since the last patch I spent many hours trying to get the mod working, but without any succes and now I don't know what to try next. Therefore I came to the decision that I will surrender and will stop working on updates for this mod.
Here are the reasons: Even if - as by a wonder - I would figure out a way to update, there will be the same problems for every patch and every dlc. I liked this mod a lot, but it seems that I underestimated the technical know-how and time frame that is needed to keep a mod constantly running with one update a month. And this mod was just too big for me to handle: Its not only changing units and single tables as most other mods do, but it modifies the complex tables of buildings, techs, skills, agents and their relations.
Seems allot of people liked it, and I would love to try it.
it looks really nice and i want to play :) so do it!!! :)))
