Yep! The launcher was wonky and had a hidden version running in the background, just re-running xcom did not work but exiting steam and restarting fixed it thanks!

I have had issues in the past with mods in general not getting downloaded when I thought they did. If you don't have a mod in the launcher make sure it got downloaded. I can recall unsubscribing to a mod and then subscribing to it again just to get it to refresh.

I thought that when we downloaded mods (by subscribing) we would see these in the launcher after restart...I don't see these. Is there another way to activate/deactivate them?

Can I just say that the first sentence of the description is absolute gold? Especially if you read it in the character's voices, particularly the Councilman, Tygan, and Central. I have to subscribe just because of that.

Because of what I change is in the core game files then using any of these mods will trump those files. You could even use the WOTC (LITE) version for any version of the game... vanilla, LW2, or WOTC. Applying LW2 and WOTC overrides on the vanilla game has no effect on the game as XCOM2 just ignores extraneous config values. Clear as mud?

WOTC Compatible versions of my A Better' MODS have been released!!!

A lot of additions were made by WOTC that made upgrading a few of these a bit more tedius.. I'm looking at You, A Better Arsenal!

Thank you all for your patience. In the interest of getting these out ASAP I didn't get to do the full amount of play testing that I would like. Please send me your feedback. (please refrain from commenting that these mods are too OP as that is their intent. That said, if I didn't dile back the LITE versions enough then pass those notes along.)

Another update, I have finished WOTC versions of A Better Start, A Better Start (LITE), A Better Rookie, and A Better Rookie (LITE). The big one is A Better Arsenal and LITE and 50% done with those. (The Weapons.ini alone is over 1300 lines of config). I had forgotten how big A Better Arsenal was... WOTC added a dozen new weapons and items along with their multiple variations of each. I just finished the Weapons.ini and all the DLCs. Next I'll be cranking on the armor pieces in the GameCore and the respective DLCs. ...and then revamping them both for the LITE version.

Once complete I'll release all of them in one big bang which I'm working to have out in the next day or two.

Quick update. I had a delay caused by the new WOTC SDK and then an issue in testing A Better Rookie with the new Templar class. I am expecting to get Arsenal done and tested today. I'll be releasing all the A Better' and LITE versions at once to make the communication easier.

Sure thing. Actually working on them right now. I'll release them as I finish and test them up starting with the easiest - A better Start, then Arsenal, then Rookie.. My goal is to get them all done this weekend. Depending on the play testing to make sure I didn't hose anything up they should be released by Monday.

A really big thanks to you all for the great compliments and critical feedback. Who knew creating an OP mod would be more fun than waisting alien scum with said OP mods. ;-)

Last time I will offer @Scuba Steve "War of The Chosen" expansion dlc as a gift in exchange for updating this mod.
I can see how to change the values in the .ini but I don't know how to get it to load properly for WoTC.
So it's no longer a question of affording the expansion because I'm offering to gift it to you, it's a matter of- do you even want to update given the opportunity to?
It'd be nice for an answer so people aren't waiting on you, if you just don't want/feel like updating.

it's been a while since I looked at the ini file but its in the damage radius of each grenade type. Also look to the boost the grenade launcher gives to all grenades. Last if you are using A Better Rookie there are abilities that make the radius bigger as well. Easiest to throttle it back at the grenade level...

last suggestion check out "A Better Arsenal (LITE)" where the grenades and guns are less op

As I mentioned A Better Arsenal only modifies the vanila weapons, DLC weapons, and LW2 weapons (using my LW2 compatible mod). So this would not be compatible.

That said read over the how-to-guide I put in the description of A Better Arsenal for LW2 LITE and you could modify the mods you listed to have the stats you want.

not sure what mod you are talking about Operator 17. Can you link it here and I'll look it up to see if its compatible. My mod adjusts the stats on the vanilla, DLC, and LW2 weapons. I have not added changes for any other mod created weapon templates.
