New Concept Idea Map thread
I hope this can become a main collection of ideas, basicly my hope is that this should be a place where you post maps that introduce unusual or new concepts or elements to maps.

I'm sure there are many better ones, and if I have time i'll try to find and add other peoples maps here, maybe someday I can put them all into a collection.

To clarify, i hope that this is a place where people will post maps that show new ideas that then other people will make better maps that use those new ideas. please help spread the word if you use any of the ideas in this thread by linking it in your maps discription.
this isnt a place to just show off your new map. please only post a map if it's main focus is showcasing this new concept or idea.

I feel like I made a lot of maps with unique qualities but not with the Hammer editor.

Well, I was thinking about that for a moment... I would like to launch some kind of new tag to add in the description of this kind of "new maps" ^^ For exemple #ThinkDifferent or #NewConcept, or anything else... If something like that leready exists, please tell me, and if not, this thread is a good way to launch it!

I'm really interested about this idea because almost all my maps are some kind of new concept demo X)

I don't know if this is a new concept, I only have the default workshop editor but it's a trick using lasers and creating "automated" doors, panels, platforms etc, but please check it out.

I created a strategy using two excursion funnels. When placed on the opposite walls facing each other a cube conflicting with them will remain put. I used this as a strategy for preventing excelloration so the cubes could be getly released onto a button and not ricochet against it in a map I made.

Well I really used a more complex strategy for my map involving spheres instead of cubes and button based-timing. I just talked about the cube version so you's get it.

One portal maps! Although it's not really a "new" concept we don't see enough of those in my opinion. I made a few of them if you'd like to check them out.

I made a map where you must use repulsion gel to jump up through a portal and onto a higher platform, then decided to make it into a series called gelly portal. All the chambers get gradually harder.
