Balancing and Suggestions
Please post here if you have any suggestions that will improve balancing or anything else about the mod.

I noticed less likely just to rout and return to battle which is good in some situations. But there comes a time when a tactically astute general senses the moment to hit a weak spot and the whole opposition crumbles and routes...like battles of Dara and Yarmouk for example.

Yes that can still happen if you pick the right moment.

You can make a mass retreat if you hit them at the right time in the right spot. Sebidee, my only balance concern if you hear me out, might be that some units fight till the very last man. I like that they don't return but sometimes they're able to sustaian a fight with less than a handful of men too often.

I like that.

Hey I love this mod (and all your mods) but all the AI's units are exhausted before they even reach my guys. The AI just makes them sprint here, there and everywhere with no regard to their fatigue. As fun as it is to hack the fools to pieces, I'd much rather have a fair battle. Just wondering if there is anything I can do to balance this out. Besides this minor issue, brilliant mod!

Yes I could do something to fix that in the next update

Hey man, I think a slight buff to archers might actually be valuable, this is a great mod but horse archers are a little undervalued in it compared to their historical strength.

I find my self doing a lot more micromanagement and being unable to enjoy the tactics of combat with this mod installed than I would otherwise like, and I think the issue is very simple, its that the moral effects from "losing combat" are too high. Now, I welcome that effect from flanking, being charged in the rear and other effects such as unit ability's.

How ever I feel strongly that the effects of generally "losing combat" should be lessened this would make other such tactical effects more effective and feel more effective.
This would also mean you can't simply "rock, paper, scissors" your enemies by unit type and ability and assuredly win, but instead you actually have to think tactically.

Elite units shouldn't be able to defeat large army's in 3 minutes and it is largely due to the effects of winning-losing combat. Removing the benefit from winning and the negative for losing combat would help ease the quick slaughtering that units go though in atilla.

It should be the players decisions and tactics that lead to victory in a battle not simply sword beats spear. (I'd like to point out that I am aware that is not due to your mod but rather that the moral effects are even more heightened than otherwise duly anticipated due to this effect.

Furthermore I would lower the hit chance even more than you have, the kill rate is still way to high.

Hopefully I've convinced you to try out these changes, if you have the time be sure to add me and we could have a chat, I'd very much like to be talked through the intricacy of moding these things so that I could do these changes my self.

Thank you for your time.

Can you slow battles down any more? i find the 10 minute open field battles far to quick to be historically accurate.
Sebidee  [developer] 21 Feb, 2017 @ 8:38am
Very slow battles isn't what I was going for in this mod, I wanted battles to be around 10 to 15 minutes, so that you can fit more battles into your session. There are other mods out there that can make battles over a half an hour.

Is it possible to fix the issue where units will get massacred if they retreat/move during combat?
Sebidee  [developer] 25 May, 2017 @ 7:54pm
I have tried to do that but I'm not sure if it's possible to get worthwhile results.

Do you know what the change was from R2 to Attila that caused that?

Is there any attila mod that gets the units to form one continuous battle line when you drag and drop several units together rather than having gaps in your line?
