Thousands of hours in both games say this is probably tied with Diablo 2 for 'best Action RPG of all time'
Titan Quest is the lovechild of conventions set by Diablo 2, and the burning passion of talented developers, and the courage to experiment with the formula of an Action RPG. Things like the enemies dropping only what they actually use, which means that you will have to fight for a strong weapon by killing the enemy who's using it, or the fact that the maps are not procedurally generated which means that the developers were able to thouroughly plan and design 'the heroes epic journey' and ESPECIALLY the class system, which allows you to "build your own class" by combining 2 skilltrees (for example, "Hunting" and "Nature" form the "Druid" Class) are the fresh breeze that I longed for after spending god knows how much time of my life playing nothing but Diablo 2.
From someone who grew up playing both games and therefore put them into direct comparison, I can recommend this game from the bottom of my heart.

Hats off to Iron Lore, and hats off to Nordic Games aka THQ Nordic for the effort that went into the creation of the gigantic patch that is now sold as 'Anniversary Edition', and bringing the game to its former glory.

Terrible game - lots of areas that haven't had nearly as much playtesting they required with blatantly obvious flaws, too many enemies with too much HP that barely pose a threat (on medium difficulty) which, in conjunction with ammo shortage, promotes ignoring everything and just running from point A to B.
The entire game lacks any kind of scariness or the unnerving moments and general atmosphere that Revelations 1 and 2 had. Too many explosions, well-lit areas and the moments where you are actually forced to fight back are more annoying than anything.
PC controls suck. Sprinting, opening doors and picking up items is mapped to one button, sprint direction is dependant on view direction, aka is controlled with the mouse instead of A/D - even in sequences with a fixed camera position.
AI comrade is almost completely invulnerable and doesn't deal any kind of significant damage to enemies - they're basically just there to be there and because the B-movie-niveau story requires them at some points.
Too. Many. ♥♥♥♥ing. Quicktime-Events.
Not too demanding - character models are fine and the environment looks "good enough". The game also runs smoothly at 1080p@60FPS even on dated machines. Cutscenes tend to suffer from screentearing.

Bought on sale for 7€, spent 21 hours finishing all 4 campaigns on medium difficulty.
Lots of content for little money and if you're into resident evil you will find this game to be useful to fill an evening or two - or maybe four. just don't buy into this expecting the next RE4.

First playthrough: ~6 hours

In my opinion one of the best Resident Evil 3rd Person Shooters (#3 after Revelations 2 and RE4), but because of the short story not worth 30€, unless you plan to play the game multiple times, which the game does encourage by rewarding playthroughs on high difficulties with things like additional weapons or weapon modifications.
Raid Mode 'works', but if you want to play that primarily, I would recommend buying RE Revelations 2 instead, where the mode is much more fleshed out and nuanced.
Story mode CANNOT be played in co-op, only raid mode. The "Co-Op" shoptag in the steam store does not necessarily mean that every mode can be played cooperatively.
Please inform yourself properly before buying and ending up frustrated.

The story is an alright experience even if Trevor is a pretty annoying asswipe of a character. The gameplay is quite easy, as you just follow clearly written out instructions 90% of the time and shootouts are extremely easy since this game was made for a console. Sadly it also has a lot of filler missions and plot strings which don't really go anywhere.
GTA:Online is awful. You grind money for cars (or pay up to $40 for one single car at a time), hoping to god people don't blow up your stuff because the game is designed to encourage griefing in order to bully people into purchasing shark cards.
I take particular umbridge with the game world, as about 60% of it is lifeless desert where there's just nothing except for a bunch of ♥♥♥♥-shaped cactuses
I'd say get it on sale for the story and avoid GTA:Online at all costs

REvelations 2 is set between the events of Resident Evil 5 and 6 and is a step back to the roots of the franchise. The game is split in 4 episodes, each of which contain a story segment where you play as Claire Redfield and Moira Burton, and a segment where you play as Barry Burton and Natalia Korva, 6 months after the events of Claires and Moiras segment.
The Claire and Moira campaign certainly plays like old resident evil games. To me it was quite scary due to the excellent scenery design, and the fact that enemies do not drop ammo or healing items adds even more to the feeling of panic the game induces occasionally.
The Barry and Natalia campaign plays a lot like the last of us with more emphasis on fighting zombies, which isn't a good thing. The developers clearly tried to recreate TLOU with Barry being entrusted to take care of Natalia right from the start of the game. Sadly, Joel is an emotionally cold ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, while Barry is not, and thus the moments that are supposed to mimic character developing moments from TLOU fail catastrophically at delivering anything to the player. The only half-decent emotional moment is in episode 4, where Barry cracks up and tells Natalia about why Moira is afraid of firearms.
Natalia is a child and Moira, as said before, is afraid of guns, which is why both don't use them, instead, Moira uses a flashlight and lights the way for Claire while Natalia can see infected through walls (not explaining why because spoilers).
Both can see blinking objects on the ground, hidden in small crannies, point them out and make them up-pickable items.
Due to this, and Moiras ability to stun enemies by blinding them with her fleshlight, you will want to play as the defenceless character surprisingly often, which is a nice refreshment from the terrible shooting games who also happened to include things that are related to the Resident Evil universe, such the last 2 main installments in the series, the Operation Racoon City spinoff, and the more recent umbrella corps.
The plot revolves around the sister of Albert, Alex Wesker, and is fairly well-written (above average for the Resident Evil series i'd say) however it's really nothing special compared to heavily narrative-driven games, so if you want a story-heavy game this isn't what you're looking for.

This game is the result of the combined effort of lots of talented developers, and I can wholeheartedly recommend it if you're on search for a decent 3rd Person Horror-Survival shooter.

Disclaimer: I bought Remember Me on sale (80% off) and refunded it after about an hour of playtime. Hence the "received product for free" annotation.

The narrative is quite interesting. Remember Me plays in a cyberpunk-ish world where memories have monetary value, and thus are being stolen and traded on a black market.

The Gameplay is split up in combat, climbing sections and memory alteration puzzles. The puzzles are not necessarily hard, but with its groundhogday-ish nature they're quite entertaining.
The predetermined combo button strings and enemies with too much HP results in ridiculously boring combat. Climbing and platformer sections are really, REALLY boring on-rails sections that look a lot like prince of persia, but doesn't play anything like it.

Cutscenes are unskippable. This is a game that you want to play for the story and the story alone. Get it if the story concept interests you, but not if you're looking for a good Beat 'Em Up.

FYI: I used to play a retail-bought, DRM-Free version of this game and bought it on steam after the disc broke down (and to get access to the nordic games beta patch)

Titan Quest is the result of a team of dedicated developers who put their heart and soul into improving the already great formula of Diablo II.

This game has technical issues (framerate drops to 10 when teleporting), and lots of bugs, but it's still one of the best ARPGs out there. If everything worked as intended, Titan Quest would be considered 'flawless'.

If you liked Diablo II, then get this game RIGHT NOW.

+Controls are extremely responsive
+Weapons feel powerful
+Combo system feels awesome
+Total invincibility is a matter of skill because only the sniper enemy type has a hitscan weapon, and even he has to charge up his shot and gives away a distinct warning signal while doing so.
+buttery smooth on old hardware (1080p 60 FPS on Phenom II X4 965 (4x3,4 GHz), HD7850 (2GB GDDR5))

*Cel-Shading graphics are a matter of taste, I didn't like them but that doesn't mean you won't like them either.
*A story is being told, though it's never in the focus of the game. If you search for a narrative-driven game, this isn't it.
*Workshop support and modtools (are not being listed as + because custom content is not the developers' achievement)

-Score system and extra lives are only important on the highest diff. grade due to quicksaving/-loading being disabled.
-Combos turn the Shotgun into an almighty murder machine
-Very few enemy types, most of which look almost identical (same models recolored)
-Only 5 Weapons total in the game - Sword, Pistol, Shotgun, Automatic Rifle, Rocket Launcher

I am unable to pinpoint the exact issue, but somehow to me the game felt boring after just over half an hour of playtime.

Still, refunds are a thing now. You can at least give the game a chance.

My review may be biased due to a sale that enabled me to purchase this game for 0,19€.
___

Camera Obscura is a platformer that relies upon a single mechanic: Press a button to create a solid afterimage of your surrounding terrain, and use it to reach the end of the level.
The relatively basic story has no impact on the gameplay, only adds a little narrative an can be read in the collectibles you can find in various levels.
The game has a good amount of levels by default, a map editor and workshop support.
Soundtrack is fcking awesome and fits the game perfectly.

The game might cause eyestrain due to the pixelated graphics on high resolution monitors if you're sitting too close.
I'd advise sitting 1~1.5m away from the monitor. Also, use a controller for infinitely more comfortable controls.

Everything that wasn't already near-perfect in XCom: Enemy Within has been greatly improved in this game. The new setting gives the franchise a fresh wind of change and additions like looting enemies for supplies you can't get otherwise are beautifully integrated in the already existing framework of the game.
The extensive Modsupport gives this game considerable longevity. Nothing is outside the Realm of possibilities, and I can't wait for XCOM 2's Long War mod!

At the start of the game, it had numerous performance issues and glitches. After 2 patches my game now runs smoothly on about 55-70 FPS on minimum settings. If my PC wasn't so dated AND running a three-year-old windows 7, I could probably get a lot higher.
My guess is that 2k forced Firaxis to push the game out on a strict release date and that there was no proper playtesting done for the official release build. That is a terrible practice. Luckily the biggest flaws have been patched out by now.

This game is a challenger for the throne of Turn-Based Strategy Games, and, excluding "Long War", the best XCOM since UFO Defense. Must-buy for every TBS-Fan with a powerful PC!

My Specs for reference:

ASUS MA78L-M
8 GB RAM (Corsair: Vengeance Series, 1666 MHz)
AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition (4 x 3,4 GHz, no hyperthreading)
AMD Radeon HD7850 (2 GB GDDR5)
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit
