Game is very fun. Well thought out. A bit more content would do nicely imo. Maybe some kind of campaign, though even if it's just the arena, the gameplay loop is fantastic. It's like Exanima, but far easier to get into. Though, I do feel dumb... Almost finished the game and when I died, I alt-f4'ed out of frustration and lost all the progress I could have sent over to my new character, such as a godly weapon and like 40k in gold.

Point is; if you're gonna repair your stuff, make sure you have appropriate gear to tide you over until its done, and/or don't go a 1v1 with an end game NPC on your next fight lol.

Keep it up, dev.

It pains me to leave a negative review for this game, but it's really what it deserves in the end. On paper, everything is awesome, more or less. Cool little details, like having to drop your backpack to be more efficient in your fights, or protecting yourself from ambushes while camping, or how each weapon has unique combos, or the fact that there's no leveling system. I actually like that last one, it lets you pick your play style and stick with it with very little holding you back...

Wait, very little? Sorry...

The timer says I have about 30 hours in the game, and I'd say I barely made it anywhere. The game is made more of inconveniences than a good time. When you think you've made progress, the game will slap the sh1t out of you and force you to work to get back to the same place you were before. I hate that cycle. The entire game feels like taking 3 steps forward, 2 steps back and breaking your ankle.

There's a good time in this game, somewhere. But you need a lot of money (in game). And a specific item that you didn't think you needed from 7 hours ago.

I love/hate this game very much... But I ended up refunding.

I love the theme, I love the atmosphere, I love the graphics.

But everything else made me realize I hate extraction shooters... There's no communication. I couldn't get into a crew at all. And like Tarkov, it's extremely frustrating to die and lose everything. THOUGH, this game is a lot more lenient and a bit more accessible. I do appreciate that.

It's... it's just not for me. I hate guessing if the person on the end of my barrel is an AI or a player. I'm one of those people that wouldn't survive the apocalypse because I always give people the benefit of the doubt like a dumb dumb. So, I don't want to shoot players, I want to talk to them. Speaking of talk... There's no VOIP and some of the "yelling" voice lines sound like someone who tried to speak a little louder than a whisper but without waking up their parents in the next room.

I grabbed it on sale because I was desperate to feel a battlefield game again. Good lord. I couldn't finish 1 match. It felt awful. Frankly, 25 bucks should be the standard price. And it should go on sale every week.

Seldom do I hop on the bandwagon on a brand new game that hasn't gone through its growing pains. You know, patches, feedback, having to get used to its... "limitations." But, you know what? This game is so deserving of its Overwhelmingly Positive rating, I'm just gonna keep it simple;

If you like ANY of the following, you will thoroughly enjoy this game; FPS, Metal, Rhythm.

If you played BPM, its pretty much that, but better in EVERY single aspect.

side note; it was fun to see Matt Heafy and Randy Blythe on the roster, fun memories. Trivium was my very first concert, and Matt told me to ♥♥♥♥ myself when I asked for an autograph. And I almost broke Randy Blythe's nose when I was ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up at a concert and he walked up behind me.

Good times.

GET THIS ONLY IF YOU HAVE FRIENDS OR PLANNING ON PLAYING WITH OTHERS!!!!!!!!!!!!

This game is just overall excellent. Everything is well thought out and it's wonderful. The progression, the missions, the everything. Its well deserving of the "overwhelming positive" reviews. The rest of the review is for solo guys;

tl;dr It sucks playing alone, wish I had at least some dumbass AI to keep me company.

Unfortunately, in pretty much every game I play, with an exception of a couple, I play solo. My least favorite genre is the "1-4 player coop" with the main focus being the coop; which there are A TON of, pretty much to the point of over doing it, and most of them pretty decent if not good. The issue is that the "1" portion of those games is almost always garbage. They usually fall into one of two schools of execution; you either play truly solo, or have AI as your teammates. Both of which have their problems.

The former, is what you have to deal with in this game. You really are alone, by yourself. And frankly it feels... not just boring, but even extremely lonely because of the environment of the game. Going through pitch black caves doing a mining job obviously designed for multiple people that could be different classes making the job not just easier, but actually enjoyable, is depressing. I never felt fulfilled after I finished a level, or even that I had fun. There have been countless times even in one mission where I thought; "gosh, I wish I was a driller to get through this passage, it's taking forever." or "gosh, I wish I was an (engineer?) to pop some platforms to reach this vein." etc, etc. On the plus side though, you don't have to deal with anyone else, you know what I mean, and you can go at your own pace.

Other 1-4 coops have AI as your buddies, which can have great AI like in Ready or Not, or pretty dumb AI like in GTFO (but at least you can give them basic commands, and it doesn't feel as lonely).

The only game that comes to mind that actually does something interesting with playing coop games as a solo player is Icarus: First Cohort. It has a separate tech tree just for solo players. It gives a separate incentive to play by yourself even. But the rest of the game is garbage though. :(

Great game overall, but if you break it down, it's pretty shallow. Awesome artwork and soundtrack, great theme, and it rides the idea all the way to the end. I am at just about 100% in the game under 24 hours. I think it's pretty worth the price tag. I feel fulfilled.

Just breaking down the farm/settlement sim and the roguelike sim, there's not a ton going on. It's all pretty basic, but altogether it works.

The images and videos on the store page make it look like a Viking Diablo. Sign me up. Nah tho. It's league of legends.

Tutorial basically explains 2+2, while in-game it starts off with trigonometry. And there's no pause and everything is timed. There's zero chill. I couldn't enjoy anything and then got molested by 12 wizard thanos.

Great soundtrack, visuals and easy physics, but it is totally challenging. Though I am having a hard time wrapping my head around constantly drifting. It actually makes the game much more difficult, and you don't gain speed as well if you don't.

Its a bit strange, but at the end of the day I'm having fun with it.

EXTREMELY ALPHA. Good base for the game, but this is more of a tech demo at the time of this review. I'll pick it up again when it has had a LOT more work done.
