Looks good, plays good. I only started the first dying light 2 days before DL2, and only just finished the story. It was a good enough experience to get this. No regrets. I'm having fun. That's the key.

EDIT: I initially thought I'd like this game. For the first hour and a half, it was hard to get the hang of to the point where I actually didn't recommend the game. It's VERY difficult. But I slapped on another 4 hours or so onto it and now I'm actually enjoying it. It's still very difficult, but luckily, your adversaries are hindered by the same mechanics as you are. Sometimes you godda leave it up to luck, but most of the time, you can win if you're patient and strategic in your button presses. Again; not easy, but very rewarding. Although, the only thing I'm not liking right now is the lack of environment. I understand it's a dungeon crawler, but there are no points of respite. No places to rest. Nothing of the sort (so far, for me).

The only two redeeming qualities of this game are the graphics, and the idea. It's really neat to have a physics based combat system that this is trying to do, kinda like a cross between Totally Accurate Battlegrounds and Mount & Blade... But it's just.. So difficult to play it makes it not fun. I gave this game a solid try... But I got a dang headache and could not for the life of me pick up the combat system. I feel like if this was in third person, and not isometric, it would play better, but... That's just me. It also feels wrong that it's been out since 2015 and it's still in EA. Though I appreciate that they still work on it, at least.

There are people who will love this game, but... I straight up cannot get it. And it angers me, because I want to. I'll keep this installed, and hopefully I'll try it again after a few updates and see if I can get it.

EDIT: After about a billion years since my review, I played it again, and am enjoying myself a lot more, especially due to the "open world" game mode. This is what I wanted. It's good stuff.

Love the theme of this game, but... It's just.... Not all the way there; the dying is the most tedious thing ever. I appreciate that the devs are trying to make the solo game fun, but as of right now... It's definitely not. I'm gonna stick with Valheim. Wouldn't recommend it in this state.

I really wanted to like this, but it just plays so poorly. Especially graphically. I mean, I am running a 3080 and an i9 and I get 43fps on ultra AND low settings? Come now...

I liked X3 but I spent like 70 hours in it and I think I got my fill of the X series now...

It's a DEEP game, there's LOTs to do... But most of what you do feels like a chore.

It's loads of fun. I actually quite like the minutia of all the little things you have to do. It connects me to my avatar quite closely. I don't play with other people, so my only complaint is that there's no story, just survive.

In general I like the game quite a bit.... But in reality, I had to refund it and not recommend it. What needs to happen is a complete overhaul of the graphics engine, insane amount of bug fixes, and more options in the settings. I wanted to get immersed in this game so bad, but every time it glitched out, which was EXTREMELY often, I came crashing back to reality and wasn't enjoying what could have been a fantastic horror game.

I'll wait till it's on a crazy huge sale and/or everything is fixed. This makes me sad.

This game is very dope. Excellent atmosphere, looks great, and plays pretty darn good.

My only massive criticism comes from the fact that I am primarily a solo player. And I'm kinda tired of the whole "4 player coop" deal I see pretty often. Now, they added bots, which helps me with the whole solo thing, but they're kinda dumb. I recently started playing Ready or Not and the control you have over the AI is astounding. Whereas in GTFO, they stand in the way a lot, there's no way for them to attack someone you want specifically, and frankly, what bugs me is that I can't get them to pick up stuff I want them to pick up (besides objective items).

Great game, with people it's good too, but the AI is dumb and that makes me sad as a solo player.

I got every collectible, achievement, and challenge in 8 hours. And I want more.

I adore the campaign thus far... It brought me back to the XBOX360 days when I had the most effin' fun. The multiplayer on the other hand... I have hard feelings about.
