Description
CAMPAIGN, AI, BATTLE, BALANCE, REALISM
You can choose and try different difficulty settings for campaign and battle now!
Main Attila game only

Compatible with mods in my collection. Only one of the following mods can be activated at the same time together with this overhaul:Radious - Strong Eastern Roman Empire V2, Radious - Roman Civilisation V2, Radious - Roman Civilisation, Radious - Strong Western Roman Empire, Radious - Strong Eastern Roman Empire
or Radious - Garrison [Unofficial] (the last one is most advisable to improve overall quality and experience of your gameplay. The previous three mods are for people who wants to make AI or their own Roman Empires stronger from start.

Aspects of the game that has been modified:
AI - Advanced tweaks and deep changes making AI calculate its priorities every turn like if its the last one! Attacking enemies, recapturing lost settlements, consolidating borders and helping allied factions..., the list goes on.
Ancillaries - Its a fusion between mods like "Legendary Ancillaries", "Better Ancillaries" and own tweaks.
Battle AI and Stats - slightly edited spotting distances for AI and other important tables. I am most proud of morale changes. It feels much more realistic and battles can turn quickly into a disaster or deserved victory but if stats are very similar on both sides the battle may go on and on.
Battle Autoresolve - results are less predictable and sometimes bloody as hell. If you don't have big advantage in numbers or quality of your troops fight your battles on the battlefield.
Buildings - most of the effects are edited and balanced with the new Ai. Most noticeable change here is longer construction times and higher costs for important and big buildings as well as more income from resources, better sanitation buildings, more balanced religious and military buildings.
Campaign Movements - It has been balanced according to new integrity tweaks and seasons. It may take longer now to cross the continents, therefore your troops might not be up for it. You'll notice that AI also may struggle to attack far north or far east.
Difficulty Handicaps - This modification has all five difficulty settings. The goal here is to create realistic gameplay with very minimal bonuses to AI so player can feel that his opponent suffer and struggle. Some bonuses are needed though and the reason for that is the design of the game engine. Best way to have a taste of this mod is to play with difficulty settings you normally would and then adjust if its too easy or too hard on the next campaign. Very Hard means Very Hard and in my opinion most enjoyable even if sometimes it feels too bloody or campaign may finish unexpectedly with "Defeat" splash screen massage :P If you survive on Legendary till 420 I want to see screenshots or it didn't happen! Battle Difficulty is most optimal on Hard. There is something hardcoded that we have no access to about the battle.
Diplomacy and Relationships - Many hours of balancing has been done here but I consider it a never-ending story. Let me know what you think. It's not too difficult to establish good relationship but you will notice that Ai will not allow you to grow your empire endlessly. I have managed to tone all stats down when it comes to hostility so It's easier to make peace over time, although war will continue if you show weakness to AI.Personalities of some leaders in the game has been changed. Especially in the first phase of the game. Some factions will basically like Romans more at the start of your campaign. Huns will also behave slightly different over the course of whole game. Rome (WRE and ERE) will continue to defend their territory but now you might notice sometimes that they wish to expand more as well, especially when they got money. African nations are very friendly towards Rome to allow them to focus more on north. Note that if those good leaders are killed then Rome will suffer more and more over time. Culture and Religion relationships has been edited and will have noticeable impact.
Faction Traits - Added some negative traits for factions that shouldn't be strong during 5th century but buffed those that should shine in the end if they survive first 20 years of campaign.
Huns and Dilemmas - Huns are something to be fear now! (but only in a late game)
Imperium Levels - It's not as easy to climb the ladder now but you and AI will get more bonuses, penalties, armies and governors. Many effects has been added to reflect realistic growth of an empire and designed for a long campaign.
Integrity - A very polished and well tested part of this mod. Together with "Supply System" makes you really care about your army and sending them too far from your lands for too long could result in disaster.
Loyalty - Keeping loyalty is not too hard but its not as easy as in vanila. If something goes wrong civil war might be the last war you fight in. So be wise and keep an eye on your generals and governors.
Mission Payouts - many objectives are more rewarding now especially those hard to achieve.
Offices - Mostly balanced and reworked few other mods like "Offices Overhauled"
Power and Politics - Balanced power is least profitable but safest way of ruling your faction. Influence gain are higher for high ranking characters but politics are more costly.
Public Order - AI has also public order problems now.
Recruitment and Upkeep Cost - War is becoming more costly than in Radious. Try not to lose those soldiers.
Religion - A combination of other mods and my ideas to make religions more important in the game. New effects has been added. Many of those effects are positive but some are negative to bring balance and create even more variety in the game. It also changes some religion names to a little bit more historical but still keeps it in english language. It is easier for you as a leader to convert into faith of your choice. (28% of your population worshiping of new religion is needed instead of 35%).
Seasons - "A More Meaningful Seasons" mod slightly edited and balanced with this overhaul.
Skills - Other mods balanced with this.
Stances - Sebidees's mod reworked
Taxes - Higher taxes are really higher now but the public must be persuaded with a sword sometimes.
Technology - Effects are slightly edited and it takes 2x time to research. Rome has some negative effects in Civil part.
Trade - It feels more meaningful to trade with countries that have something to offer actually.
Traits - Greatly improved and expanded.

Submods of this overhaul that can be used seperately with other mods

Big thanks to this really heavy and beautiful mod, the best I've tested so far in terms of artificial intelligence, really a challenge! Thank you for this wonderful mod.

A great job and well done, THANK YOU.
But I was wondering if in the future you planned to make a version without the battle rework.
The battles I have played so far are very short-lived.
