Reduced Squalor And Other Edits for Divide et Impera (DeI) 1.3.1

Description
Now works for more than just Rome!

------------------------------

I feel that there are too many penalties for upgrading certain buildings. I understand they exist to balance the game, but I feel like the player gets punished for trying to evolve the buildings. This mod tries to solve that by editing values that I think are unreasonable.
I suppose that you could argue that this mod makes it somewhat unbalanced or overpowered, but I think it's more logical, and there are still some penalties for the buildings, so there aren't just bonuses.

------------------------------

What the mod actually does:
It removes or reduces public order and squalor penalties on food-producing buildings, including the main building in the settlement. On some buildings, you even get public order bonuses. Why would your people be angry when you supply them with more food? They should be happy.

It also lowers food consumption on the Roman research building chain and adds the same amount of food consumption on the Hellenic and Eastern research building chain since they didn't cost food originally.
In addition to the food changes, the research bonus is increased, as well as giving a small bonus to empire maintenance for both Roman, Hellenic, and Eastern buildings.

------------------------------

I have mainly tested this with Rome, but other factions should also work now. Please let me know if there is a problem or if something doesn't add up, or if you have questions or suggestions for the mod.

------------------------------

If you like this mod, then maybe you would like my other mods as well:

Vanilla Rome:

If you want the full version with more edits:
Reduced Imperium Effects (Full version)

If you only want to get rid of expansionism and the military upkeep penalties:
Reduced Imperium Effects (Light version)

If you only want to get rid of expansionism:
No More Expansionism

Divide et Impera submods:

(Working on an update) Edited Imperium Effects for Divide et Impera (DeI) 1.3.1

I am also working on a new mod to reduce upkeep and recruitment costs.

For me, most of the other mods I've found either reduce the challenge too much or barely help deal with this "issue" in DEI... I recently tested a lot & would say that your mod is quite balanced. Food production doesn't skyrocket & plagues can still be a problem without careful management.

Thank you for the great mod. :mhironcompany::Dossenus:

ok no worries

There are too many values to type here. I'd suggest going in the game and look if there is some specific value you are wondering about. I don't have the game installed, so I can't do it.

what are the values that dei is using now?

It doesn’t. To be honest, I don’t think this mod is necessary anymore. My other mod that edits the Imperium effects isn’t necessary anymore because the new values from the official updates are balanced and overall much better. I haven’t played and looked at the other values, but it seems like this mod isn’t needed as it was before.

does this mod still work for the latest DEI?

is the effect rom_building_food_fishing amount the fishing port provides or is that one of the negative effects?

Thanks what's the best way of doing it for all buildings I use rusted pfm but which things do I import from dei pack?

As in for main settlement's and minor cities etc

one to my submod so I can make the changes I need to make.

As there is alot of stuff in building effects junctions table in the pack.

I normally do mods like this for Attila and Attila overhauls

Sure, go ahead!

Hi i am considering making a similar mod where all buildings food consumption is reduced and same for squalor penalties.

Can i use some of the work from this mod for it or would you be able to reduce negative effects more and do same for all buildings? I think that would not be a bad idea.

would i have permission to add it to my DEI compilation pack?
