DESCRIPTION:
I was always wondering why almost all races gets elite units for both attack/defence but lizardmen don't. Thats why I made a variation of temple guard but they are armed with maces instead of halberds, so they are an elite offensive unit.

I tried to make the new unit balanced for vanilla and hopefully there are no bugs. If you encounter any problems, just comment/message me and I will try to solve them.

Now available with a blessed variant. I am not that good in scripting yet, so they are only few missions how to obtain them, launching on certain turns. In the future, when I get better at scripting, I want to update this mod once more with more and more randomized missions and better optimized script.

FAQ:
"But do the units benefit from lord skills/technologies?" - Of course they do! They benefit from the exactly same skills/technologies as normal temple guard does. You can recruit this unit from the same buildings as normal temple guard and blessed variant you obtain via missions.

"Is this mod save-game compatible?" - Yes it is.

COMPATABILITY:
It is a simple unit mod, so it should be compatible with almost all mods existing. However I do not play with major overhaul mods (like SFO) so u will need to try it for yourself. Maybe it is not compatible with some mods changing blessed spawnings.

@ScropinKing Hello, I unfortunately don`t own Warhammer III yet (it is damn too expensive :( . I plan to buy WH III when it has at least 50% discount (on Christmas ? idk). However it is surely pretty easy to copy the mod so you can maybe try that yourself or ask another modder to copy it. Good Luck !

Thanks, this mod makes late game Lizardmen infantry more versatile.

Their melee defence however seems lower then other higher tier Shielded infantry. They should not be damage dealers
but their melee def is a bit low for their tier and cost. Incresing it to marauder champion levels seems reasonable.

No no, its totally fine, I just wanted to give my feedback, maybe I didnt use them right.
And its true they arent supposed to replace units like kroxigor or other monsters.

@Tom.025 I actually think they are pretty strong if u use them right. They absolutely murder enemy low-mid tier infantry. I did not want to give them armor piercing - because that is exclusive to great weapons/halberds units. I also wont give them bonus vs inf. because that is exclusive for dual weapons units. I have decided to give them minor buff based on your feedback.
If you want, I can make temple guards maces OP version of this mod for you, it will take like 10 mins :)

Thank you for your work, Its very cool to see new units for lizardmen, although I do find this unit a bit weak, they lack either bonus vs infantry or armor piercing

@Flipse Macuahuitl is considered its own thing that doesn't have direct analogue among weapons of other cultures. But essentially its a mace with obsidian shards attached to it, so the word "mace" is the closest term to apply.
