Intro
Just like the Pokemon that aren't my faves, I take good care of my "Neutrals"/"Dislikes", we've done great things together.

Yes, I do semi- regard the Units/Summons as Pokemon and I treat them as such.

Note: I do off-meta stuff, remember I play this game like it's Pokemon, type advantage mostly doesn't matter to me. Since, I want to destroy my foes/rivals. So, I'm not exactly a good go-to for how to play, this is just the "basic" how to use them Units/Summons, where to find and how to use the gems, "Pokeberry Gems", and scrolls on them.

Off Topic Note: Ignore the Squad 8 references in most of my Steam guides or me honestly telling ya that I am lazy, since according to the "Bleach: Official Bootleg KaraBuri+" aptitude test, I am in Capt. Kyoraku's homie's Squad. They say that I'm more suited to be in the Thirteenth Division.

Don't forget to:

Da Very First Minute
Just pretend that these are Orihimie, Kenpachi Zaraki and this other guy that I'm forgetting. Unrelated Popplio pawns all the Alolan Starters.

They will ask ya to pick a 5 Star Starter for your Pokemon Bleach: Brave Souls journey.

Orihime - She can be used as a healing link later on.

Kenpachi Zaraki - He has special abilities.

The Mysterious Third One - I forgotten what this Summon does.

That Particular Renji

This Renji is free, ya get him after doing enough activities. He's just basically here as an honorable mention.

Note: It's also suggested that you pick the one that you like more, but be aware that your starter eventually be replaced by better characters, like those that do their job way better.
Elemental Types

What I'm calling "Elements"/"Elemental Types" are actually called "Attributes."

Just like Pokemon there's elemental Types, here in Bleach: Brave Souls, they have their own "Fire is strong against Grass/Plant. Water is strong against Fire." typing strengths and weaknesses. As ya can see, it's just as similar.

The Red is strong against Green, which is strong against Blue.

Purple is strong against Yellow-Orange and vice-versa.

Attribute Names

  • Tech (Green)
  • Speed (Blue)
  • Heart (Purple)
  • Mind (Orange)
  • Power (Red)
Elemental Types 2

According to Rukia, this idiot has the "Stinky Attribute."

I know that this mainly fits the "Orbs For Broke Substitute Shinigami" maybe guide series, but ya can farm Orbs from the same card, make sure that they have different Elemental Types/Attributes.

The badge ribbons, the + (Insert number 1 to 4 here) or lack of numbers at the top right corner tells how many of a character card's Ascending Orbs are lit up.
Colored Fonts

The level fonts that appear at the bottom of the card indicates just how leveled up and maxed out it is

White - The card's Soul Tree progress is partially/isn't filled up.

Green - The card's Soul Tree is 100% complete.

Red - All of the card's link slots are at Level 15.

Purple - The card's Transcendence Basic Stat Boosts are all at level 20.

15/15/15

He's not yet at 15/15/15 as ya can see. I'm slowly gathering potions.

This strange fraction only pops up at the bottom of the card just to show just the Character Linking status progress(es) and involves link slot levels.
Character's Kit

Lower Right Corner

Auto

This tiny grey button will make the Character(s) fight against the foe on it's own.

Normal Attacks

The huge button is for the normal attacks.

Strong Attacks

The first button between the Auto and the Normal Attack is for the Strong Attack, this is more powerful than the normal.

Strong Attack Two

Note: Depending on the Character, this button provides a Shield or does Healing. Instead of Attacks.

(Third Button)

Here's were the an even more powerful attack is located, but this is a step bellow the Soul Bomb. It's cooldown takes a lot of seconds to recharge, before it can be used again.

Soul Bomb

This is a character's limit break, be aware that you'll only get one at the start of the game. So, use it wisely (Like the right moment during the final battle of the Story Quest).

This tiny bar tells how many Soul Bombs that ya currently have, which means how many times you can rain doom on a foe.

If you want extra Soul Bombs pray that boxes, like the trash can or Hucho Mundo Orb that ya destroyed has it. That's why that ya should destroy every box, canister and maybe benches, that ya see. Act as if this is "Legend Of Zelda."

Shake Things Up

Other Characters have special buttons, like this Kiyone and Sentaro Summon, only for their fighting style, and personality alone. This particular Summon can switch with each other, you have two for one.

Some of these Characters have an extra button for their kits that are extra moves, like this particular Squad 13 Summon.

Few Buttons

Here's an example, see how the layout is similar.

Other Characters' button kits are fewer compare to other Characters, but their lineup is similar. Just like the lower Star cards.
Magic Boosts
Shields/Healing Field

Sometimes, once activating the "Shield" or "Droplet" button, the protection/healing extends to other members of your party. For example, this Byakuya has his sakura shield activated and it extends to his party.

The tiny circular and/or shield shapes with numbers on the upper left of the cards of your party indicates how much protection/healing that they have and their duration, which is how many times it can be use. The casters get more than one, like three, whereas the others get one or two.

When you switch to the other party member, they come out with fully shield. Until, the shield duration ceases.

Be aware that certain shields, healing, and healing circles sometimes are for the caster only. Also, the cooldown for the Shields/Healing take a long while to recharge (Like the cooldown that's being display here).

Triggering Witch Time

Sometimes you won't get burn/poison/ injured when you do your NAD, SA, and such first. It's as though the foe didn't do anything. But ya have to do it at the last possible correct timing.

Down Is Up

If you're hit with confusion, remember this:

Normal

Note: This is mainly for the WSAD keyboard play (this is probably maybe my own personal WSAD gameplay), though mouse and controller ya need to experiment on them. I already laid out the basic concepts to achieve this.
Gameplay Screen
This is what the gameplay screen looks like, this chapter will show a bit on how to do "baby steps" on a quest.

Health Bar

Keep an eye on this one, it shows how much life ya have.

Pause Button

Click on this to pause, leave the quest, or to resume.

Loot

What I have circled is where one can see the coins that have been gathered throughout the quest.

The other red circled that's next to the coin one, shows how much jewelry and loot that ya just gathered from fallen foes.

The Amazing Duo Is Now The Amazing Uno

Yes, I see gamertags referencing the Big Three when I play at times.

If you wanna do the quests solo, just click on Allies and switch the Select button to Cancel.

Oh, Kay
Now ya need Crystals and Jewels to level up your Summon, they may look alike and have similar functions. But they're different, Crystals are used to level up 5 Stars, whereas Jewels are for 6 Stars.

Mega-Green Herb Lollipop

This guide is a list of Summons that increases the drop rates for Crystal/Jewelry, Pots, Coins and such.

Don't be too quick to get rid of the 4 Star Kisukes, because they'll turn your Summons into Crystal/Jewel pots when you use them for the Character Links. Use them, until, you find better CL Summons or Accessories.

Ascending Menu For Babies
Once your Unit becomes a 6 Star, some extra controls will open.

These are two menus, but they will all lead you to either the: Link Slot leveling, Bonus Abilities or the Transcendence leveling. - The menu is a new pathway to get to the same slots.

The Bonus Abilities will be unlocked when one reaches 15/15/15 or 20/20/20.

Ascending To A Higher Plane Of Existance
"Transcendence" is basically a higher form of improvement, this will open up "T-Slots".

These slots have up to 5 and 1 bonuses that improves your base stats of your character.

  • SA T-priority SP>FCS>ATK>STA>DEF
  • NA T-priority ATK>FCS>STA>DEF> SP

How To Transcend For Babies

These are the methods that I know of...For now.

  • Fusing a character with his duplicate.
  • Using the "Set" method.

The Duplicates

Using this Raid Rukia card for example, I use her clones to not just light up three lavender orbs, but also her transcendence numbers. She became more powerful, because the "Item"/"Soul Bomb" fraction are also light up.

Getting these same lavender Orbs to light up from the dupes will unlock a special ability. Like

The Set Method

Ya click on the "Set" button to open a whole new menu.

To use the set method, you have to check your Summon's stats, skills and links, like if they have Flurry. For example those with Flurry will tell you that you need to beef up their attacks with these slots

(Add T-Slot Menu picture)

Click on the elemental stat and place it on the set square.

Once ya get one of the slots open to "Level 2", another will open. Keep repeating this process, until all the transcendence slots are all ready to go.

Tools:

  • Potions/PokeBerry Gems
  • Scrolls
  • Hogyoku
  • Hogyoku's Will (Maybe, I haven't gotten ahead yet).

These can be found in Arena, the Quests (Like Hogyoku Training Grounds) and the Difficult Quests (Inheritance Zones and Inheritance Trials), Co-Op, and Limited Time events (like Point Events).

Note: With the Set Method there's very few exceptions to the rule, like .

Transcendence Leveling Bonus

Besides the duplicates, the other method to get those nodes to unlock in the Set is to get the Bonanza Passport, they'll give special Orbs every (I forgotten) how many weeks/days/months. But'll you get it far quicker and will be able to ascend way faster, unlike a broke guy like me, who needs to wait for certain special Point Events.

The Set And Game Modes

Depending on which game modes that ya want to do, the Set function pattern for your Summon is this:

ATK
PVE SP: FCS > ATK > STAM > DEF

PVS NAD: ATK > FCS > STAM > DEF > SP

PVP NAD: ATK > STAM > FCS > DEF > SP

Mega-Herb Lollipop

This "sequel" guide will explain how to do a Transcendence and probably go further into it.

How To Do A Gabriel - Safe For Summons

Some Characters come with the Resurrection button. Here's what to expect, after clicking on it.

An icon will pop out asking if ya wanna do it.

Clicking Yes will take ya to the battle mode, where your Character faces off a clone.

Tip: Your Character's "evil twin" is nerf to stupidity, so, it's easy to take 'em down. But if ya lose, ya can always battle again.

Speaking To The Trees

All Pink

Sorry, I was stupid, I didn't get early footage. Because, I had Senakimon in the head.

After defeating the Character's clone, your Character is "new"-ish as ya can see, he/she has an all knew layout. The card is in this pink-ish hue.

Clicking on the Soul Tree will give ya a whole new tree to fill up.

Rezzing a Character for the first time will result with 75 Orbs and refilling all the tree nodes will give a free Hog's Will.

Special Move Training Grounds

The other method is tedious to do. You take your rezzed up pink star unit to the Special Move Training Grounds, which is located in the Limited Time Events, and until you unlock all the set nodes. It can only be done twice in one day.

This is actually ONLY for rezzed up units, like Parasol Nel, Cacao Society Byakuya and the Blue Szayel featured here.

SIMP-Ing
JonTron: SIMP! SIMP! SIMP!
Soi-Fong: Worth it!

Character Selection

Please, ignore those Steps and my own SIMP-ing.

There's only very few Characters in these special banners, but they cycle through. So, you won't miss 'em. Don't be fooled by the fact that one has a higher chance of obtaining these Characters, since you'll still get shafted to a degree, even though you do have a slight higher chance.

Be aware that they also contain seasonals of those Characters.

  • Ichigo
  • Kenpachi Zaraki
  • Sosuke Aizen
  • Ulquorra
  • Byakuya Kuchiki
  • Toshiro Hitsugaya
  • Yoruichi Shihiouin

Theory Note: These special banners don't get updated when these Units get new versions of themselves or they, these specific Units, will show up in other banners, packages and free mixes. (I'm still new, so, I dunno if this is true).

Packs

The ones that are called "Character Packs have a Character and a bunch of leveling supplies, they cycle and even bring up re-releasing of older Characters. But they have more choices than the Character Selection at the drawing area, even though one pack has one Character.

Here's how some of the Character Packs look like.

Probably these are cheaper in a different country, during BBS Anniversary/very special Bleach events or sales.
