This guide will teach what to expect from the accounts that link Bleach: Brave Souls, how to troubleshoot, maintaining it (or them) and other tricks.

Note: Some of these tips and troubleshooting may be exclusively on the mobile and doesn't affect Steam / syncing across all platforms, consoles, and devices in the slightest, the problems may be different or vice versa.

Note To Uninformed Parents: This game has gambling mechanics, even though I heard that it's one of the "least crazy" out of its competitors. Just make sure that ya don't leave your kid unattended and that your important cards aren't link to Steam.

For now, just make a KLab ID and multi-sync your B:BS account to other social media sites and your Game Center/GC's rival. They got rid of Facebook. Press "F" for respect.

After when the game is finish loading, a message will pop out asking which language that ya want, click on the much needed one: Global or Asian. Because, that will be the designated one, no turning back. - If you want to change it, ya have to contact KLabs.

These are also the regional servers. Say that ya click on "Global", it will mean that you'll play with those that speak different languages (like English, French, German and the like for example). But with "Asian", I think that you'll be with the ones that go with Japanese, Korean and others that are part of the Asian regions.

After first downloading this game, it's a good idea to link your account. That way you don't loose your progress if something bad happens. There's three ways to do this, it's either make a KLab ID account, make and/or link it to your Twitter account, your mobile Game Center, or just do all of the above. It's even a better idea to do a multi-data link, in case one fail, you have another to back up.


This is a semi-bad example, but this is how the linking is suppose to appear like.

Ya can sync your account to multiple devices, besides Steam.


To remove the Data Link, just tap the settings cog wheel icon at the top right of Main screen and click on the DL button, lastly, click on the "Cancel Data Link" button.

If you can't remove the DL, some stuff may be happening, like:

• The mobile phone game was uninstalled and ya forgotten to unlink the Data Link.
  
• The DL hasn't been removed on all the devices that were linked to it.
  
• Ya can't log into your account to remove the link.
  
• Ya used and link to Game Center, linking the Data Link to this will make your DL permanent.

Note: If you don't link, you risk having to "restart", if something bad happens, especially if you're gonna go to KLab for help. Those guys are strict about things.

When it comes to removing DL, there's no individual customer support.

• Install the game on phone.
  
• Then data link KLab.
  
• Sign in to your KLab account.
  
• Sync with the mobile version.
  
• This will overwrite the "new account" with your existing account.

After reinstalling Bleach BS in your new computer/mobile device. Just click on the Data Link button,


Select the whatzit (i.e. Facebook or KLab ID) of where you linked your data stuff to earlier. A message will appear, do some last minute check ups, and confirm to complete the Data Link process.

Concerning why Facebook is here, well, it's impossible to unlink it from your game. Even going to the Facebook settings, apps, sites and deleting the game won't work.

KLab Account Creation: KLab Games Sign Up account[www.id.klabgames.net]

The KLabs ID/KLabs account is another way to link accounts, it comes in handy if one wants to download and play the other KLabs games in a neat and tidy way, like Captain Tsubasa: Dream Team or Love Live! School Idol Festival .

Tools

• 2FA (like Robo Form, Last Pass or their rivals).
  
• Use the 2FA email address that's associated for your KLab ID account.
  
• A recovery email address for said KLab ID account (Unless, ya already have that).

After creating the account, open Bleach and click on the Data Link icon to link it. Follow the on-screen instructions, until the "Data Linked" confirmation pops up.

The fun begins when it just opens the game, no need to enter the password. Secondly, you can swap between them at any time, since the mobile version is basically "Bleach Go". The tiny con is that if you're in the middle of a mission, you're gonna loose a bit of progress when jumping back and forth. The mission just resets itself.


To bring your BBS data to a different phone, like switching from Android to Iphone, you need the KLab ID. Just to help with the smooth transition.

• To delete an account, ya just log into the email that your KLabs ID account is linked to (or that particular secondary account) that you want to get rid of.
  
• Then make an email of why you honestly wanna delete.
  
• When the "Subject" section pops out, type "REQUEST TO DELETE MY ACCOUNT."
  
• Then send that email to the to the Klab Privacy email link.

Trivia: You can make as many of these account babies as ya want. Though it's way trickier to do, since a few updates later. There's some that accidentally got a fresh new BBS account, by trying to make a second one (Note: Those that ya see with a secondary/third accounts got them during a time when doing stuff like this was a bit easier or straight up knows what to do to get one without incident. Just bug them how, I'm not my tech savvy little brother, Tsukishima.)

If Gin agrees to be a test subject, this is a "Seconds until disaster." Moment.


If you have to change stuff, like mobile phones (Mainly switching from android to Apple for example), but didn't perform a data linking on this game. You have to ring up KLabs for a "Request Data Recovery."

• Keep the receipts of every transactions/orders.
  
• Write down answers for the questionaire and your ID. You will need these to prove to KLab that you're the real you.
  
• Make a record of every 5/6 Star Summon(?) that you own.

• Post personal account information
  
• Your spending info
  
• No account sharing, even if it's the friendly pizza girl that used to babysit you, it increases your risk of a bad faith actor of stealing.
  
• Sell accounts
  
• Buy accounts
  
• Trade accounts
  
• Click on any message/links that screams "Free Orbs"

Practice common sense, like blot out your Orb Count and any compromising private info. Because there's people whose accounts got rip off on what's suppose to be the happiest day of their lives.

This is just in case that you accidentally overwrite your actual account, so KLab will need info to return it. I assume this is a similar process for the Steam version (But this is more of a Sekiro version).

The disadvantage is that you will lost ALL of your coins and orbs doing this process, that will be the only ones that will be reset to zero.

Just like with the Pokemon Trainer account changing password questionaire, ya don't need to fill up everything, just most of what ya can remember to get your stuff back.

Note: Write down your Player ID, Guild name and the 8 Digit code that's found under My Status. Also, most of your Units, especially your first 5 Star and probably your starter from the tutorial.

Sit tight, since for a week/ two weeks for KLab to finish the investigations and try to give your account back. By then, they will give updated info and further news will be explained.

When you do get your account back, be aware that everything is there, except your Orbs.

Depending on the situation, KLab will want ya to make a KLab account. If you didn't do so early. Then they'll send ya an e-mail that contains a questionaire asking about the important deets, like game ID and such.

Shopping Spree

Please save and collect everything about your purchases, like receipts concerning her.

Depending on the situation, a "quicker" way to get your account back is to show KLab the receipts of your purchases prior the noodle incident of losing your BBS account.

Dem IDs

Your ID should be located at the upper right corner of the main menu screen (This is just a demo to give ya an idea).

Before running off to fight Hallows and transfer to a new PC (mobile or console), take a screenshot of your BBS ID. This located that the intro sceen.

Contact support and show them the screenshot. They will give you a one time reconnect to use for the backup that they'll provide.

Checking

Make a record of the amount of Crystals and observe to see if there's any suspicious changes for a day, if ya noticed a huge change. Then, yes, you got hacked.

Gabriel


This form of doing a Gabriel is more family friendly and will keep you in the game, if you so wish, unlike how Grantz does it.

If the account is compromise and most of the tips don't work, there's a second chance. Do a Gabriel, which is a "getting killed and rising from the dead" move, it's a kinda rebirth. But doing this means starting afresh with a new account and new everything like a newcomer.

Be aware that KLab takes their time when responding, who knows how long they will take. Well, as long as they come out and help with your problem. Then it's good, right?

Note: What's embarrassing is that you're most likely to find help in the Steam forums, the Bleach: Brave Souls subreddit and other similar fansites, if you get into sticky situations (like getting your account stolen or you accidentally override it). KLabs has a lack of customer support, except of what I can find. What's worst is that KLab doesn't address serious stuff with their customers, like if they've been hacked, we are left in the dark. - Unlike other companies, who will mention if bad stuff are happening and are "currently fixing the issues," like an army of Daleks pop out of a wormhole.

Error Code = 040-00A-013

This was from redditors, BlursFR and WootieOPTC, so credit 'em. (There's a French version of this answer in the actual post.)

• Try restarting your computer (especially if you rarely shut it down completely, but put into sleeping mode instead). I had problems starting up the game one time, and a dumb full restart did solve the issue.
  
• After restart, try to open Steam and see if there are any updates to do (for Steam and/or for Bleach).
  
• If still doesn't work, try to open that error log file (you have the full path in your screenshot) with any text editor (like notepad) and check if there are more details on the error (you also have the timestamp with date+hour+min+sec in your screen, so you should be able to find it easily). It could give you extra info on what's the problem or how to solve it.
  
• If still no clue on what's causing the error, try to contact Klab's support, I guess, and mention them the error code.

Register Button

If the account registration doesn't work, either turn off your adblocker for the site, create and/or use a Gmail account that contains letter and numbers.

Gabriel-ing



If you find that your account that was tied to Facebook, after a hiatus. KLab got rid of that social website. So, if inquiring for them to remove and sync your data with the KLab ID doesn't work.* Just do a Gabriel. - Start a fresh.

* Note: This particular form of data recovery is a very tedious process and very tricky to do, since KLab ain't quick to just hand out accounts. Due to paranoia of hackers stealing your stuff.

Unity

Check your drivers and update your drivers, if your game is crashing.

Another alternative if that doesn't fix the problems, check your AMD installer and see if it's causing the problems. There's a site named " guru3d.com " It has an archive of every AMD installer update and experiment with it, try the 16.2 version and play with the settings down.

The screen is bigger.

This is the ONLY Bleach game on Steam in a 3 yard radius.

Easier to set up a controller (I'm pressing "X" to doubt. Since mobile has attachable controllers and I don't know how they fair).

Easier to flash step.

Better visuals.

The game is design a bit more for PC/console, despite being a gacha game. Since there's some tasks and game modes, like Epic Raids, Co-Op and Epic Co-Op, that need better controls and fast reflexes.

The game works and that's all that matters.

Despite that BBS is came out for the PS4/PS5, you cannot link your BBS account mobile stuff, especially your KLab ID, to the Playstation version. This is basically a restart from scratch as though you're a new to BBS.Ya can only link to the Playstation Network. Maybe KLab and Sony will change their minds eventually.

Note: I assumed the whole PS4/PS5 "linking stupidity" is the same with the Neptunia joke about Playstation/Noire being a lone wolf and not playing well with the other consoles (and probably PC) is a dead right true science fact. The fact that ya can't link your main BBS stuff in a crossplatform/cloud sync switching way. (Unlike, Steam where one can do a sync with the phone).



Nanao is the Xbox One series.

This part is just here, just in case, of when the gacha game comes to the console. I'll even add tips when there's an Nintendo Switch version.

Here's what mobile will offer:

• A more stream of Orb sources.
  
• A free daily banner that offers 4/5 Star Summons/Characters (Ya have to watch an ad for this).
  
• The Bonanza Pass, it's an optional subscription service: This will give you extra Orbs, a three monthly Move Source Orb (A very important scarce item), more story/stamina tickets*, and a pet Yoruichi cat that follows you around, just for your inner Soi-Fon mainly.

It's mainly for B:BS on the go, especially if you're busy fighting Hollows and delivering pizzas.

Note: My broke butt is too broke to handle the subscription service. This means that I'm not touching that. Just experiment to see if this will make ya happy.

Be aware that if this is just Unity acting up, the game and/or Steam acting weird from an incorrect signature. Just whitelist it in your anti-virus, so, half of problems will go away.

How To Re-Roll





Verification

Verify the game's Steam files.

With Facebook, just go to your Profile>Account Settings>Apps> Logged In With Facebook/Links>Bleach Brave Souls Link, find the Save or Renew icons and click one of them.

Hiccups

Sometimes, whether it's KLab or Steam's fault or not, the latest update won't let BBS connect to the servers. Be aware this is the occasional "breaking its connection". Just sit tight and wait for Steam to sort itself out or treat this game like Among Us, the next update will fix everything.

Game Won't Start

If BBS won't start after clicking on the Play button. There's two methods to get it to work:

Go play a different game and wait for it to sort itself out.

Exit both BBS and Steam. Then log into both Steam and start up BBS.

Unknown - Not Set

If a window that's called "<unknown> - <not set>" pops up, just go to your Steam folder and delete the appcache folder.

Game Won't Launch

Here's what I found in the forums.

1. In the Steam library, go to Bleach Brave Souls, right click on it, go to manage, go to browse local files.
2. See the BleachBraveSouls.exe file? Keep the folder open for later.

1. Open Bitdefender Security
2. Go to the "Protection" tab, aka the second from the top.
3. Click Open on "Advanced Threat Defense".
4. Go to "Settings".
5. Click on the "Manage Exeptions".
6. Go to Advanced Threat Defense.
7. Click on the blue "+ Add an Exeption".
8. Drag the "BleachBraveSouls.exe" to the "Enter the path, extension name, URL or domain here" box.
9. Drag all the possible sliders below that you can from the left "Off" state to the right "On" state.
10. Click Save.
11. Go to the steam library and try to launch the game.

Dem Battery Saver

Go to your phone's Options in BBS. Scroll down, until, you find Battery Saver. Click on it and choose No Restrictions . Exit the game and return. The Data Link and Log In should be working for you.

Steam Cloud Save

Ya cannot take advantage of the Steam cloud save backup feature, but the good stuff concerning BBS is all connected to KLab's servers account based.


Bonanza Pass

Check to see if your subscription is connected to the device, besides your player ID. But most of the time, it's just either multiple subscriptions on your Google Play/Apple (?) or just the sync hiccupping.

How To Re-Roll

One of the ways to do this by delete the registration entry of BBS:

"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\KLab\BleachBraveSouls"

The easier way is to make a batch file that contains the simple command, "reg delete."

How to make a batch file:

• Create a text document and open it
  
• Paste the command in there
  
• Reg delete HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\KLab\BleachBraveSouls
  
• Save as: in the dropdown menu, select "all files" (not textdocument format).
  
• Name the file as you want but add ".bat" at the end to it
  
• Save the file
  
• To use it for reroll: double click this batch file.
  
• Enjoy.

Iphone/Apple Re-Rolling

It's possible to do a reroll on an Apple device, but ya have to do them, before linking your game with Apple ID. Here's a few methods.

Use Android phone/device or Steam and reroll each time until ya find that perfect B:BS account setup, then link it with Apple ID.

Erase your B:BS player data each time, then find the perfect setup.

Bleach: Brave Souls: Go

This is an alternative way of playing on the go and despite what the store page says, to play Bleach: Brave Souls on the Steam Deck. Just download and launch the game on desktop mode or just launch it on desktop mode.Then you're good to go.

Account Deletion

After sending a request for account deletion, it takes two weeks for the deletion to take place.


Changing The PSN Online ID

There's two methods to doing this:

It's okay to changing your PSN name, your BBS game data won't be bothered.

Though if you're paranoid, just make a second PSN account, play a bit and then change the ID.


BBS doesn't use the Steam cloud system, so, before you transfer, find the folder where KLab or BBS and put those important files in a flash drive of sorts. Unless, ya want to do the tedious account recovery.
