Stellaris Texture Pack - Base Game 4K

Description

ACHIEVEMENT COMPATIBLE

If you use Planetary Diversity please download this version of the mod instead, as it contains way more textures. It is not necessary to download both, please only use one or the other:

This mod has a large file size and is only meant for higher end computers. The textures can slow down your game dramatically if your computer cannot handle it. If you have a lower end computer please download the 2K LITE version of this mod here:

This is a stripped down version of the Planetary Diversity texture pack I created and only contains hi-res textures for base game celestial bodies. There is little difference between this mod and Immersive Galaxy except for some new gas giant textures and being up to date. The goal of this mod is to add variation and beauty to your solar systems.

This mod includes the following:
  • All existing textures from the original Immersive Galaxy, including base game, cloud and night light textures
  • 35 new textures created by me for base game gas giants, as well as gas giant textures from the mod Real Space

This mod should be placed below Real Space if you use it otherwise there will be conflicts with the gas giant textures.

This mod should be compatible with most mods on the Workshop as it is purely a texture mod and does not alter any gameplay.
  • Planetary Diversity: This mod works with Planetary Diversity but I have created a version specifically for this mod below. Download it instead to get more textures.

  • Real Space: This mod is designed to be compatible with Real Space, and includes the gas giant textures from that mod as well. Should work with System Scale as well. Please make sure it is below Real Space in your load order so that the gas giant textures do not get screwed up.
  • New Frontiers: This mod is compatible with New Frontiers
  • Immersive Galaxy: This mod is not compatible with any previous versions of Immersive Galaxy, including the re-upload released last year. Stellaris Texture Project includes every texture from the original Immersive Galaxy so it is not necessary to have both. Please uninstall any old versions as this mod will conflict with it. Nuclear Fire will still work, but Night Lights is already included in this mod and no longer necessary.
Stellaris Texture Pack is probably not compatible with any other mods that alter the textures of celestial bodies. Not sure which others exist.

  • Dwayne, original author of Immersive Galaxy. Any textures with 'Immersive Galaxy' next to them are NOT my creation and all credit for them goes to Dwayne. Any textures with NEW next to them are my work.
  • Annatar, author of Real Space and New Frontiers for some of his cloud textures and gas giant textures

Updated!

I'm having an issue where the gas giants are weird colours and have very noticeable seams, sometimes even looking like a slice has been cut out like a cake. I also have Actual Stellar Systems and have this mod placed underneath it but the issue still persists. I assume they are incompatible so thought to mention it and ask if changing load order differently would help or not. If not I can simply uninstall that :p

This will still work with the current version of the game. Texture mods don't alter the game's code. I will update it regardless, but you can still use it without any issues.

When can we expect a 3.8 update?

That's weird, I'll see what's going on.
