---BACKGROUND
The Fascist Italian dictator Mussolini pursued some unsane, megalomaniac and imperialist dream to restore the Roman Empire. After having invaded Albania, he launched an agressive action against Greece. Italian soldiers would soon realized in what nightmare they were involved in, when they had to face strong defensive Greek positions. Poorly motivated as well as using small armored vehicles in a country with no good-quality roads, they were underprepared for winter conditions.

After a very costly one-month push, the Italian army faced a Greek counterattack that brought them back into Albania. However, the very very nationalist dictator Metaxas did not want to give up recently invaded Albania and to withdraw, while threats of a major germano-italian invasion were heard. That (Operation Marita) started the 6th of April 1941, from Bulgaria. The Battle of Greece would last one month then.

Mission successfully achieved in Normal Mode.
Face-paced action, mid to long combat range, from mountainous area (North Epira) to the city down in the valley (supposed to be the town of Konitsa).
There are custom Italian squads (and greek squads as well): the Bersaglieri, the Alpini, the regular Infantry Division "Julia".
Part 1: The Italian tank (Semovente) becomes more useful during the final phases ! It was kept however in the initial phases in order to represent this flaw of the Italian preparation during their campaign.
Part 2: UK troops ans paratroops are used here only for cinematographic purposes ! UK helped Greece in 1940 mainly through equipment, military consellors and political support. Maintaining Greece into the British influence allowed the UK to keep control over East Mediterranean Sea and to keep access with the Middle East, through Crete and Egypt.

Le dictateur fasciste italien Mussolini poursuivait un rêve abject, mégalomane et impérialiste de restaurer l'Empire Romain. Après avoir envahi l'Albanie, il a lancé une action agressive contre la Grèce. Les soldats italiens réalisèrent dans quel cauchemar ils étaient engagés, quand ils eurent à faire face à de solides positions défensives grecques. Faiblement motivée, utilisant de petits véhicules blindés dans un pays sans routes de bonne qualité, ils étaient sous-équipés en équipements hivernaux.

Après une poussée d'un mois très coûteuse en hommes, l'armée italienne vécut une contre-offensive grecque qui la repoussa d'où ils étaient venus en Albanie. Toutefois, le très très nationaliste dictateur grec Metaxas ne voulut pas abandonner les territoires albanais récemment envahis et opérer une retraite, alors que des menaces d'une invasion germano-italienne majeure se faisaient entendre. Ceci se produisit (Opération Marita) le 6 Avril 1941, depuis la Bulgarie. La bataille de Grèce ne durera alors qu'un seul mois.

Mission terminée avec succès en Mode Normal.
Action intense, combat à moyenne / longue portée, depuis une zone montagneuse (Épire du Nord) jusque dans la ville dans la vallée (censée être la ville de Konitsa).
Le tank italien (Semovente) devient plus utile dans les phases finales ! Il a été conservé cependant dans les phases initiales pour représenter les défauts de la préparation italienne durant la campagne.
Progressez à couvert. Ne rester pas statique. Concentrez-vous sur la capture des objectifs. Utilisez tous les items utiles: grenades, fumigènes, explosifs, boites de nourriture, aspirines, boites de munitions.
Des escouades italiennes (mais aussi grecques) personnalisées: les Bersagliers, les Alpini, la division d'infanterie régulière "Julia" !
Partie 1: Le char italien (Semovente) devient plus utile dans les dernières phases ! Il a toutefois été conservé dans les premières phases pour représenter ce défaut de la préparation italienne pour leur campagne.
Partie 2: Il n'y a bien sûr jamais eu d'opérations aéroportées britanniques en Grèce en 1940, contrairement à la mission.
