Description
Better knights and slightly more female knights. Inspired by Player Can Be Knight, Accolade Rework, Accolade Max Titles, Young Knight & Young Commander, Warriors without Wombs, Female Knight, Simple Shieldmaidens, War Lords, No Space Marine Knights.
FEATURES
    MORE KNIGHTS
  • Knight and commander age requirement lowered from 16 to 13 (medieval military age).
  • W&W DLC Hostages can be a knight or an army commander, with a strong hook or eternal friendship.
  • Illegal--Gender defying NPCs (mulan event story cycle), 'destiny child' and shieldmaidens can be knights.

    SAFER KNIGHTS
  • Knight toughness raised from 10 to 20, they last slightly longer in combat.
  • paradox added my attack damage nerf

    PLAYER KNIGHTS
  • Players can be your liege's knight and army commander, unless at war. Special exemption so players are not considered "busy" if serving as knight or commander.

    FEUDAL KNIGHTS
  • Knights and commander roles now require Martial or Prowess education and atleast 5 prowess or martial.
  • Feudal-Clan-Tribal govs must hire knights and army commander from their knights, landed/ruler vassals, family, clergy, court position holders, heirs, councilors or noble courtiers. NPCs with actual feudal ties.
  • Kings cant be knights, regal exemption.

    INCAPABLE KNIGHTS
  • Cannot be a knight or commander if you are seriously ill.
  • Pregnant women are banned from commander or knight roles, unless the culture has unrestricted knights.

    BUSY RULER
  • A ruler serving as knight or commander in an army, will get auto set into a regency as if they were travelling.

    BETTER ACCOLADES
  • Accolade knight prowess requirement lowered from 8 to 6 and alternatively only require to being a noble.
  • Accolade rank ceiling raised from baron to duke tier.
  • LOWERED accolade glory points loss from 15-30% to 10-25%.

    BONUS
  • Max army retreat possibility lowered from 14 days to 1.
  • Shattered retreat max distance lowered from 14 provinces to 10.
COMPATIBLE with EVERYTHING. NO vanilla files replaced. Load AFTER large mods in playlists, may break mod features.

@fisto the robo Thank you, I got it. For some reason I thought it was like one of the mods for CK2 in which the ruler could directly participate in battles. It doesn't make sense to me that he doesn't fight himself under any circumstances (at least there are many examples in which rulers in this historical period still combined the properties of a general and a knight). It is especially confusing in the context of, for example, some barbarians / pagans, for which the ruler not participating in battles can not rule. nIn my opinion it would be very interesting if it would be possible to implement this in CK3.

@prostoDno: waht do you mean? this mod doesnt touch adventurers or their knights, just limits feudal knights. kings cannot become knights for their liege emperor if they have a liege but still can be commanders. independent kings cant become knights in ck3 either since you cannot be your own knight.

-ck3 version update
-feudal knight and commander rules apply to nomads
-heirs can be knights
-kings cannot be knights
-rulers serving as knights and commander are set into a regency

@EnumaEllis: you can load my mod before most overhauls and youd lose features but that wouldnt crash or break the overhaul mod.

I have noticed that while a lot of your mods may not edit base game files, they are still editing major portions of these scripts, meaning compatibility will still be really bad for overhauls.

You should write that in the Description to not use it with overhauls unless they got a compatch; these aren't intended for anything bigger than vanilla. I know mods like AGoT and PoD that will run roughshod through most of these

@Captain SSmolleTT: so you can click retreat after 1 day of engagement, instead of waiting 14. No gameplay change really and AI never retreats anyway.
