rebalanced ai recruitment

Description
This is not an overhaul so much a tweak of the AI's recruitment of the standard vanilla rosters, it affects the AI's priority of various units compared to one another and also the general balance of different kind of units in an AI's army.

It's not "Better AI recruitment", it still allows the recruitment of artillery and such, it just makes the likelyhood of such recruitment very unlikely and is more of my own tinkering to get the armies I'd like to face. It doesn't necessarily mean the AI will spam nothing but the best troops, it's more to create armies that honours the "spirit" of the faction recruiting the troops and make them more "real", as far as that's possible.

The pictures above is a small sample of what the AI is capable of recruiting with this mod, see more pictures in the link below:
http://forums.totalwar.com/showthread.php/154665-Rebalanced-AI-recruitment?p=1367832#post1367832

In summary, however, is a tweaked focus of the AI armies.
The romans, greeks and barbarian factions will focus largely on melee infantry. The romans will push out a lot of sword infantry, the greeks will recruit lots of hoplites/spears and pikes while the barbarians will be a bit between, making their armies consist mostly of spear and sword infantry in somewhat equal measure.
The nomads will of course create a healthy mix of missile and melee cavalry, the desert nomads will do the same, but add some skirmishers and infantry to the mix.
The eastern factions will focus more heavily on cavalry and skirmishers, their infantry force largely favouring spears.
Navies are also affected with a greater focus on large to medium ships over the smaller escorts, artillery vessels in particular are prioritised.

Both in the pictures above and those shown in the forum posts linked above doesn't use this mod alone though, and there are several mods for consideration for a, in my mind, better result.

A red land:

A red sea rereleased (nigh essential for artillery ships for the ai)
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=318824643

One turn tech (creates more recruitment opportunities early on, while optional, I feel it should be mentioned as a contributing factor)

Also, do note that while it's a tweak, it's by no means an assurance of great AI armies, sometimes you'll just have that odd situation where an AI army still spams slingers or the like. (again, see the forum link.)

Works for saved games, but only for new recruitment, so already recruited armies won't be changed. :-)

Above all, remember to have fun!

Setrus has some issues in real life nowadays so he can't keep up with the Rome II's updates that come every 3 years. @Jambalaya @✦Skarekrow✦

This mod sounds really cool! Thanks for your effort! I always dislike those arty spams or ranged units spams becuase it is just so generic. I want to fight Gaul and Carthage. Not arty and arty.

It won't crash them, as far as I know, but its effect will be less pronounced in the newer dlc's as part of it won't affect those campaigns.

Is this mod compatible with all dlc campaigns?

I actually like this particular mod. Now i can even lose to AI, since now they still have a lot more troops like before, but now they are no eastern spearmen, levy freemen or stuff.

Dear modder, have a beer and think what you have done. You have deserved it.

Well it would be the tables this mod changes, the unit-specific recruitment ones saying how much any specific unit is worth. Not sure, honestly, how much it actually affects things though.
