Description
It can be tough playing this mod without supporting mods, some will be listed below, alternatively you can subscribe to my collection.

The Base-income is dramatically reduced from 3000 to 900, in order give some kind of reality feeling.
One village shouldn't be able to afford 40 Units at once.
Now that the Basic-income is decreased, small factions will have a hard time becoming a main role on the Campaign map.
It also works for the Western Roman Empire as an First Aid Kit, and the Barbarians will recognize that and unit or kill eachother... until the Huns finally arrive.

The Huns play a more importent role, for they will lead the way of how the campaing will play out in the end of the game. Also, their random spawning armies will no longer have a -100 upkeep, instead they "only" get a -80% upkeep.

In order to get money back, I changed the army stances to a more usefull level - by decreasing the upkeep if your army is raiding enemy/allied lands.
Also the Integrity has been overhauled to give make your men less robotic/giving them a touch of humanity.

Horde Stance: -45% Upkeep, +4 Integrity

Raiding Stance : -30% Upkeep, +8 Integrity "Take what you want!"

Forced march : +10% Upkeep, -20 Integrity "I don't care how tired you are!" Factions without a Settlement however get only -12 Integrity for they are used to walk around...

Fortifing : -5% Upkeep(-10% Upkeep for Romans) +4 Integrity

If you lose a battle, your army will get a -25 Integrity shock for one turn.

If you win a battle, your army will get a +20 Integrity boost for one turn.

If the faction leader dies, armies will get -5 integrity for one turn.

If you're out of money and can't pay the upkeep, armies will recieve a -8 Integrity penalty.

Attrition will give a -10 Integrity penalty.

WARNING: Playing as the Caledonians, Tanukhids, Alans or Danes will be very hard.

I tried it as the visigoths but the "other" was still at 3000.

Thank you, I had been looking for something to make things a bit more desperate, to give me some actual incentive to go looting - this does the trick nicely.

Okay man thanks for the quick response! Giving it a go now, playing on hard rather than very hard, don't want to play too close too the vandals but will be cautious, maybe try and settle in Egypt or Africa :D

Seem an awesome mod!

Almost every faction will have a minus in-come in the first turn, they will act very differently than in the normal game, either they act, die or bring a civil-war faction with them. Most of the time they act...
The alans, in reality, were more like a support horde for the vandals.
As the alans, you should really work with your ally for the first few turns, backstabbing is a no-go.

horde stance = encamped, yeeeees
DakkaDon 28 Dec, 2015 @ 1:21pm
And sorry by horde stance do you mean encamped?

Goddam that sounds like a stressful introduction to the horde mechanics :P Any chance you can buff the Alani income at all? I do appreciate these kind of needy questions are pretty annoying, so feel free to tell me to fuck off! :P It's your vision of course. I just like the idea of the historical balance and accuracy, it's just it's quite a severe drop. Maybe bring it down from 3000 to 1000?
