- Initial support for Gene Mods has been added; this includes the Gene Mods in the original mod, as well as the ones in Mitzruti's Perk Pack. Make sure you also have Shadow Ops Perk Pack, Celatid Alien, Flame Viper, Bio Division, and Bstar's Perk Pack for abilities/autopsies/corpses. I am planning to add even more to this; my end goal is for each Corpse/Wreck (from both base LWOTC and the full suite of Mod Jam) to have 1 or 2 uses in terms of Gene Modding. Check the Discussion thread for all the details on what's in there so far.

- Advent Warlock (the Advent Sorcerer in Mod Jam) support has been updated to reflect the recent update to the original mod. Take note of the following:

  • The Psionic Reaper in Mod Jam still has an unlimited magazine (this is handled by a Template Master file), but like the original mod no longer has an innate aim bonus.
  • Phantom Slayer Rounds are available, and have their own Proving Grounds project you'll need to do before building them in Engineering. They only pierce 2 armor now instead of 5.
  • The Sorcerers' zombies still do not die when they die.
  • Sorcerers, in terms of abilities, have everything that they have in the updated version of the Advent Warlock mod, OTHER than Soulfire and Soul Steal. All of the abilities that were added to them via Mod Jam remain. The Sorcerer Magus still has Void Rift as well.
  • Death's Embrace can target more than just Advent Troopers and Armored Advent Troopers. The list of enemies is too long to put here, but you can look in the Advent Warlock folder in Mod Jam for the XComAI.ini file if you want to see. Death's Embrace still cannot target aliens or robots, and cannot target certain "high end" Trooper-type units like Psi Commandos.
  • I tweaked the AI a little bit for Frigid Whisper and Glacial Tomb. Hopefully Sorcerers will use those abilities now.
  • Stats still use InterventoR's values from B&T Expanded Enemies Redux. This may change in the future.
  • Encounter/follower lists have not changed this update. Maybe later if InterventoR gives me some.
  • Advent Armored Troopers have been added to the War Cry buff list in the "OTHER" section.

The Laser-tier and Coil-tier Autopistols have been tweaked following LWOTC Dev Build 26's update to its own Autopistols. Note that Autopistols can now be used in the pistol slot.

- Both of them now have 1 weight, use the short range table instead of midshort, and have the same build cost as the equivalent tier Pistol.

- The Laser-tier Autopistol now does 1-2 damage, 3 crit damage, and has 40% innate crit chance.

- The Coil-tier Autopistol now does 2-5 damage, 4 crit damage, and has 40% innate crit chance.

- Ballistic Shields' support has been dropped, as LWOTC Dev Build 26 adds its own shields. I have left the folder and files intact (old settings are commented out) for people who haven't updated yet or still want to use both shield types.

Another Sorcerer AI rework. This time I actually wrote a brand new tree for them, and used OPTC to assign "AdventSorcererModJamRoot" to the AshAdvWarlockM1, AshAdvWarlockM2, and AshAdvWarlockM3 character templates. I tested these in battle and experienced no crashes with my 200+ mod list.

- Polar Ray is back, and is piggybacking off of vanilla Null Lance settings for AI.

- Void Rift is back, and is piggybacking off of vanilla Dimensional Rift settings for AI.

- Each Sorcerer tier has only 1 Vortex Grenade equipped now.

- Coup De Grace is gone from Sorcerer Magus' rifle.

- High priority shots are a little later in the Sorcerer AI tree, to allow them to more likely use some of their more exotic stuff like Glacial Tomb.

- Sorcerers no longer select targets truly randomly for Frigid Whisper, but they still respect other restrictions (avoiding panicked, bound, burning, or frozen targets).

- Added a new XComTemplateEditor.ini file to the Psionics Overhaul V3 folder, which adds damage profiles for the Fireball and Sliprain abilities to all 3 Psi Amp tiers. It is set up to do this as late as possible, and thus should ignore LWOTC zeroing out Psi Amp damage profiles. This should fix the issue of Fireball and Sliprain dealing no damage; let me know if the issue persists.

- Yet another yeet-based ability rework for the Advent Sorcerers to address crash bugs. Peoples' tests seem to have confirmed that Void Rift was the original cause, and Polar Ray also was a problem, which tells me that it's AoE stuff (or how it was set up) which is a no go. Raise Dead on the other hand was a false flag. Here are the changes:

  • Void Rift and Polar Ray are gone.
  • Raise Dead is back at all tiers.
  • The Sorcerer Adept and Sorcerer Magus gain the Glacial Tomb ability. This is limited to a single charge, but allows them to instantly freeze a target with no dice roll, and may ignore freeze immunity. They will typically prefer targeting the highest ranked soldier they can see. This ability will only ever be used as their last action.
  • The Sorcerer Adept and Sorcerer Magus carry 2 grenades each instead of 1, to help compensate for the loss of their AoE abilities. Like all other thrown grenades in the LWOTC, they have a 2 turn cooldown between uses.
  • The Sorcerer Magus gains Coup De Grace on their gun, giving them bonus damage, crit chance and aim against disoriented, panicked or stunned targets. Against disoriented targets, the bonuses are halved.
  • Sorcerers now prefer to use Frigid Whisper against targets that are not already burning, frozen, bound or panicked. They will otherwise select the target for it randomly.
  • Sorcerers now prefer to use Insanity against targets that are not already burning, chilled, bitter chilled, frozen, bound, or panicked. They're also more likely to target soldiers at high HP, but otherwise still try to pick the "best" target.
Let me know if crashes are still happening and I'll slap these guys around some more.

- Fixed a couple of typos that were causing the Laser and Coil Ripjack variants to not deal bonus damage to robots with Whiplash.

- Added Muton Harriers and Muton Beleaguers to the Psion blacklist, so they cannot be Psionic.
