still works and is one of the best empire infantry mods out there :P, i use these guys to hold the line while my rocket and mortar batteries pound the enemy charge into dust

Excellent early game unit....anyone reading this, know that don't hire swordsmen...hire these guys instead. You will just have to wait a couple of extra turns. The extra upkeep is worth spending. Moreover, just six or seven of these guys can easily take you through the early battles, if managed properly. Once again...great work and keep it up! Thanks :)

@Alexandros Noobos ok I made one. axemen were pushed to Barracks 3, swordsmen are barracks 3 and require level 1 smith.

@Alexandros Noobos: sure thing. yea lol mid game in this is like turn 15 or so out of what can be a 100 turn campaign, so unit progression is too fast. let me just figure out how to gate it best and i'll have a modified version uploaded

ToCo would you consider moving these and the elite Swordsmen to Barracks tier 3? Maybe some other special building requirement?
I really like them as a mid to late game unit and was hoping to use them later on but the Riekland Rebels are spawning these and the Elite swords on turn 8 :)

Its nice to see axeman added, the only hint I would have is to reduce the size of the axes a bit, these look a bit like in these JRPG games of today ;-p
They might be even a bit to big for 2 Handers but beeing 1 Handers looks a bit ridiculous :-)
The Shaft alone is bigger than their wrist, how can they wield something like this in a combat situation?

You should change the type of the unit to "Axe Infantry", right now they are called "Sword Infantry".
