Description
What is Starbound 2.0?
Starbound 2.0 is a large mod-pack that aims to add lots of content and create a more complete game experience. This mod-pack is designed to feel like the 1.3 and 1.4 updates to Terraria as they overhauled and added lots of content but also remained true to the core experience. There are also many new furniture and flavor items as you would expect from a large update.


Planned Development Stages
This modpack is a long term project. Unlike most other mod packs I plan to actively work to improve the experience

To improve the stability of the mod pack, I have removed several mods that either were causing issues or did not contribute to the pack in a meaningful way. I plan to add many tabs back in the future, but for now, I'm focusing on getting the pack to perform smoothly.

F.A.Q.
Q: Why can't I play the Frackin Universe Races?
A: Frackin universe adds several custom races most of which have somewhat poor content support (e.g. dungeons, custom furniture, codex...). Because of this, these races dont have the content that would be expected from main starbound race and are excluded from the character creation menu.

Q: Why is "Master Mode" in the title
A: This mod-pack is very difficult and aims to give you a challenging experience even once you have top tier gear.

Q: Why can't I jump on some planets
A: One of the mods in this pack makes planets have significantly different gravity as they would in a real universe. To traverse these planets you should have movement tech that allows you to fight against gravity

Q: I just started the game and my ship is stuck in infinite FTL
A: Try creating a new character, after you create a new character speak to sail to get the basic quests and wait while the starting world generates

Known Bugs (very incomplete list)
If you encounter a bug while playing the game let me know in the bug reports discussion! Please upload your starbound.log file to Pastebin so I can figure out what might be causing your issue.
  • Pack crashes on Linux - I'm not sure why this happens but if you find a fix for it let me know so I can post it here!
