Will I be mounting on weapons on the Clyde?

Probably not myself. Or rather I am applying lessons learned to sketch out the next build that can incorporate those lessons learned and weapons more fluidly.

For instance Clyde's bow deck can fit a medium turret ring but most turrets I've seen will block the pilot's view. One could shift the pilot higher... and fix access... and then debate adding another partial deck anyway. Which is why I am starting to go into "next build" thinking.

The weapon recommendation is from my search of what is out there is shared above for those who wish to do so.

Clyde's original goal was based on combining the versatility of Yukon with a recent tweak of a personal favorite into the Pike Interceptor. P-Int cruises at 20 m/s and top speed 40 m/s. With the Clyde the fast cruise is 19.4 m/s with arctic range so that part was successful. Fully matching the P-Int's 40 m/s top speed is out of reach and for the larger boats control, or not flipping, becomes more and more of an issue. Clyde going much faster pulls her prop out of the water anyway so she slows down back to her high anyway top speed of 26 m/s

The electric propulsion great at port and rescues. They do though make a steady drain on the batteries.

Standing still recharge is possible though currently a pick tricky.

= In Engine room forward at power controls set "Disconnect propellers" to on (so you dont move)
= In engine room port aft at generator set "Generator gear toggle" to on, this will set up more torque mode by increasing the generator clutch to max

= At pilot seat set throttle for 0.07 (to keep RPS under or near 20 RPS, ECU lowers throttle if its much higher)
= Start engine

Real world time is a few minutes for 10% power in the test I did. Workable in a game session. Have a drink, snack or bio while recharging.

Remember to set switches back to normal especially the "Disconnect propellers"

This mod is recommended for buying enough fuel to spawn it full tanks as it takes ~41,000 liters and the base game docks being with only 5,000.

Clyde and Krakens...

Mild seas: Outrun on cruise speeds 15 m/s

Trying to rescue someone in wild 100+kph winds abeam the Kraken did get a bite on the stern. Best place probably. Damage very contained. They do let go in time.

The electrical breakers needed to be cycled off and on (not sure why) including the physics sensor. Likely the PS was confused by all the Kraken did in pulling it down.

Backup batteries in starboard stern of main cabin used briefly.

Generator mode used briefly.

Boat and main power had surivived.

Minor leak risks sealed up in the propulsion room, all interior access. Exterior stern damage to be repaired in calmer seas.

Relay of a valid question. The autopilot is a heading hold. The way point system only displays on the map. Turn manually to direction, or as needed to avoid terrain, and turn on autopilot. It will steer for that course.

not sure how to autopilot to the waypoint set on the keypad.

The autopilot is a heading hold function.
The map waypoint is a display only function.
Looking at the map turn the boat until it is heading in about that direciton.
Turn on the heading hold autopilot.

In game play I found that you should keep some alertness for loot crates or collision risks from AI craft. You can step away from the bridge for a time but should come check things regularly. In real world multi-crew vehicles there should always be at least person "on watch".
