Introducing the V-472 Vtol Jet. An experimental aircraft developed by the empire while exploring alternative aircraft to accompany its air force. This vehicle however was not chosen for mass military production because of its below average flight handling... while not being moved on to production level there is some interest in its Vtol abilities that may result in more advanced versions that will be accepted down the road.

A few of the V-472 Prototypes eventually made it to commercial manufactures who marketed them with minor upgrades to the wealthier end of the Empire's civilian population where the below average handling isn't as important. The prototype functions similar to a helicopter, can reach speeds of 500 kph, and sits one person... or two with the seat forward... though it cannot strafe.

The Civilian models generally do not come with armaments, but still have equipment mounts for those who want the extra security of having an armed flying vehicle laying around. It is classified as mostly a luxury vehicle and are not that common due to a combination of price tags, and not having enough grocery space for using it on shopping runs.
