Next we have another version of the Warden that has been in service for a decent length of time. With the deployment of the Object x48 meant the production of Sphynx turrets, eventually spare turrets made their way onto the Warden's hull replacing the x20 AMX turret. One of the largest issues the Warden AMXv had was being slightly too heavy for its tracks making it loose mobility, thanks to the new Sphynx turret roughly 22u was shaved off the vehicle and still retained a rather respectable firepower of x12.

The Warden Sphynx has been typically deployed as a mix of 4-5 to each armor unit of 8 machines. Being more mobile than the AMXv they can be more up front and offensive while the AMXv pulls up the rear. The only real downside to the Sphynx turret is that it lacks gun elevation and has one less degree of gun depression than the other Wardens. Even with the 22u less mass the robust tracks do still retain an issue with impact resistance.

This variant of the Warden nearly replaced the Bulldog B version because they both compete with each other for having a lower mass and are roughly identical in weight while the Bulldog B has a weaker armament. The only reason the Bulldog B turret was not completely phased out on the Warden was because its shorter turret could be more easily fitted with different armaments such as the ColiOP which adds nearly 100u+ to the vehicle's mass, and that the Sphynx turret has a low traverse gear making it turn slower than that of the Bulldog B variant.

Thanks to the Dura-track system the Warden hull itself is a machine that is wide spread across the empire even as civilian machines, occasionally being seen as farm equipment or industrial workhorses for moving shipping containers.
