XM551 Sheridan - Budget Grade

The Sheridan was an American “Armoured Reconnaissance/Airborne Assault Vehicle” not a standard light tank designation... designed to be amphibius, air-portable, and required an armament that could knock out a 1960's era MBT. The result was the Sheridan, a 15 ton tank armed with a 152mm howitzer with a top speed of 70 kph.

The 152mm mounted on the tank could fire both ATGMs or ammunition specifically made for the weapon. Because the howitzer itself had poor shell velocity only High Explosive ammunition was fired from it and the Shillelagh ATGMs essentially filled need for AP rounds. The gun itself when fired would lift the front two, even third road wheels off the ground. 76mm armaments were tested but never accepted. Additionally... A standard modification made during the mid-70s was the addition of the "Cereal Bowl" commander's cupola. This mod came about due to the "broken rib" effect that occurred when the Sheridan fired conventional rounds; the recoil would pitch the commander against the armor plating, resulting in cracked ribs.

Its armor was only welded/cast aluminum being 8-15mm thick, most of the vehicle's casualties resulted from driving over mines and getting hit by RPGs... also being aluminium they literally melted when set on fire. Despite this fact the infantry were overjoyed to have direct firesupport. And yes... they carried canister rounds... In Fact they had two types, one being a 10,000 Flechette (Basically an oversized shotgun shell) and a smaller 8,000 Flechette Bee Hive round.

Leave it to America to take a 152mm shotgun and mount it on a light tank...

The Budget Sheridan is a machine built for multiverse. Its 159 blocks total allowing multiple people to be using It or other budget tanks that are balanced between each-other for combat. The Sheridan in this case features mobility with a small bit of armor and a pretty hefty x8 cannon, but is unable to snipe with it because it has a higher turret gear for maneuvering and using its gun at closer ranges. It is also based on the hull version that World of tanks uses.

Its mobility and traverse speeds are meant to mimic the Sheridan in world of tanks~
