Erik's D&D Tools - Initiative

Description
What's This?
A panel for running initiative (as defined by D&D 5th Edition) in a way all players can see.

How Do I Use It?
  • Copy or spawn the Initiative (control panel) object into your game
  • Copy or spawn the Initiative Trackers (infinite bag) object into your game
  • (You don’t need the Initiative table / bench object)
  • Draw an Initiative Tracker Set out of the bag
  • Draw trackers out of the Initiative Tracker Set chest
  • For each tracker, set its initiative in its Description field
  • (You can use initiative modifiers instead, e.g. "+5")
  • Place each tracker on the Initiative table / bench
  • Click "Run / Refresh" to start running initiative
  • Click "Next Turn" to move to the next turn

Details
  • Latest version is 1.2
  • You may set trackers' names to whatever you want
  • Trackers may be resized, if you wish
  • A tracker's type is set in its GM Notes, and must be "(Initiative PC)" or "(Initiative NPC)"
  • If a tracker is highlighted in red, its initiative value isn't a number
  • The "Delay" button moves the current tracker one place later in the order
  • The "Change Style" button swaps between a "table" style board and a flat plank
  • If you don’t know what a button does, right-click it for help
  • The current round number is displayed on the front of the table / bench
  • While not running initiative, you may reposition / resize the table / bench
  • The table / bench must always be flat (no X or Z rotation)
  • The trackers are just TTS' built-in standees: Objects > Components > Custom > Figurine
  • The tool used to make their images is available here[www.dropbox.com] (updated 03/19/2023)
  • (The tool is a .zip with .exe inside; use at your own risk)
  • Feel free to leave questions in the comments!

Mr. Ugly, just tested it, seem to work like a charm. Thanks for that. Will really help with my Aliens game.

Hey, Inquisitor Lov!

There wasn't any way, but that seemed like a simple enough request. So I've added a new button at the top-left that will toggling between Descending and Ascending for sorting order. Let me know if you run into any trouble with it.

Is there a way to make this track in reverse? 1 goes first, 10 goes last kind of thing.

Hi Mr! It is all good mate, it is just pixels :) Thanks for having a look at it, I will give it a crack and report back with my findings :D Thanks again for your time and effort!

Hey Weirym! I'm so sorry, I missed your comment the first time. I was worried this request would be out of scope, but I think I got it working OK in the latest version. There's a new button at the top-right (it requires a double-click) that toggles between the regular table and a flat plank. Right-click it for more information on how to use it. Let me know you run into problems with it, and good luck!

I have ended up just making the bench completely transparent. Solves my issue for now :)

Hello again! I have a request. Could we have the option to select a different table for the initiative trackers to sit on? The old hewn-wood bench is nice, but I would like to have something a little smoother and with out legs poking down. Thanks for your time and effort on all your workshop!

Hey, there Vissago! Any chance you have further details on what's not working? I hopped in and did a quick test, and didn't see anything out of the ordinary.
Vissago 13 Feb, 2024 @ 12:15pm
seems to be broken

Hey Sandling! Great idea, and easy enough to add. It should just work in the latest version. Let me know if you run into problems.
