Erik's D&D Tools - Paper

Description
What's This?
A paper object with editable fields. It also supports multiple pages and text locking.

How Do I Use It?
  • Copy or spawn the Paper object (the infinite bag) into your game
  • Draw a paper object out of the bag
  • To add text, click the paper’s text field and start typing

Details
  • Latest version is 1.0
  • The Lock button at the top-right locks / unlocks the text boxes for editing
  • The Back / Forward buttons in the bottom corners move to other pages
  • Note that the Version module (linked below) won't update spawned paper objects
  • Feel free to leave questions in the comments!
  • Known issue: while editing text, clicking a button (lock or page control) will stop editing the text, but it will not register a click on the button. This appears to be due to a TTS bug (or, perhaps, structural limitation). Just click the button again.

Howdy! I fiddled with the in-house lighting settings, but no dice. Here's a screenshot of what I mean.

Hmm. I can't say I've seen that, myself. I loaded the mod just now (with caching off), and it looks just as it always has. I've also verified the paper's source image in a browser: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ehuz2oj8qi68612/Front.jpg?dl=0 So, I'm not sure what you might be hitting, Kefkah. Any chance your game has unusual lighting? I can get something like what you're describing when I turn light intensity and ambient intensity waaaay down...

Hey! Not sure if anyone else has had this issue before, but they've turned grey with black borders. The text is still black so I can type things in, and they still save the inputs, but it's significantly harder to use and read now.

Thanks for the answer! Already made use of this awesome tool in my dnd campaign, now players have more "at-hand" way of storing notes :)

Good question! They should be infinite. I don't know Lua's upper limit on integers (or possibly unsigned integers), but a quick Google search seems to indicate that it should hold 2^1024 pages. Which, as a number, has 309 digits. So, yup, effectively infinite. : )

Really cool mod, but i have a little question! Are extra pages infinite, or they lock on some big number like 99 where it doesn't matter if they're infinite or not because the player probably won't ever reach that number?

Very neat and useful, thanks for this.
